"Sengoku, tell me straight," the old man said seriously. "What's your relationship with that Straw Hat brat, Luffy?"
"He's my grandson," Garp replied without hesitation.
Sengoku let out a long, weary sigh. He really should've seen that coming.
He patted Garp's shoulder. "Relax. Your grandson's fine."
Just injured—not dead.
"But still," Sengoku added sternly, "Garp, if you run into him again, talk some sense into that boy. Tell him not to be a pirate."
There's no good ending for pirates.
Garp slammed his fist on the table. "Don't worry, I'll make sure that brat remembers this lesson!"
Right then, new intelligence came in—files on a certain Logan and his crew.
"Take a look," Sengoku said, handing over the documents. "That's him."
"This kid?" Garp frowned at the photo. Handsome enough, sure—but could he really take one of Garp's punches?
He flipped through the rest of the crew's profiles.
And froze.
Every single one of them… was a woman.
And not just women—stunning women.
Nami: Navigator of the Logan Pirates, suspected user of the Rumble-Rumble Fruit.
Nojiko: Nami's sister. Other details unknown.
Kaya: Identity unknown.
Makino: Identity unknown.
Garp rubbed his eyes hard when he saw that last name.
"Makino?!"
He suddenly remembered a call from Dadan a few days ago—her furious voice echoing through the receiver.
She'd yelled that some punk had "stolen" Makino and told him to get his butt over there and do something.
He thought she was joking… so he hadn't taken it seriously.
Turns out the punk was Logan all along.
Great.
Now he had another reason to hunt that brat down.
"When did Logia Fruits become so common?!" Garp grumbled. "Not only have two appeared in such a short time, but one of them's the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, one of the most destructive ones there is!"
Sengoku nodded grimly. "That's what worries me most. If it really is the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, we can't let its user grow unchecked."
The Navy had records of a previous Rumble-Rumble Fruit user—someone whose power was like a living natural disaster.
He'd fought two of the Navy's strongest officers at once, and the lightning he unleashed turned miles of land into ruins.
Even surrounded and outnumbered, he'd escaped unharmed—and became a legend overnight.
Now that the same Devil Fruit had reappeared on the seas, the Navy couldn't afford to sit back.
"I'm heading back to East Blue," Garp said, standing up.
To find Luffy.
And capture Logan.
Two birds with one stone.
"Don't get your hopes up," Sengoku cautioned. "According to intel, Logan's been flying his ship through the air using some kind of Cloud-Cloud Fruit. Finding him won't be easy."
For once, Garp didn't argue—Sengoku was right.
By now, who knew where that brat had drifted off to.
Still, Sengoku didn't stop him. He knew full well Garp's real goal was to check on Luffy.
"At least issue a bounty," Sengoku said. "Even if we can't catch him yet, let's make sure his life doesn't stay too cozy."
Four gorgeous crewmates and a sky-sailing ship? Even Sengoku couldn't help but feel a bit jealous.
"Fine," Garp grunted, already heading for the door. "I'll take a look around East Blue first."
He could barely wait to find Luffy and knock some sense into that kid's thick skull.
Meanwhile, bounty posters for Logan and his crew began to spread across the seas.
At the Baratie—
The most famous restaurant in East Blue, renowned for its top-notch cuisine and ship-shaped design. Guests came from all over the seas to eat here.
The restaurant looked like a massive ship, with fish-shaped figureheads on both sides. And if things ever got dangerous, it could instantly switch to battle mode.
No one in their right mind would dare start trouble here.
After three days of sailing, Logan and his crew finally arrived.
To avoid causing a scene, he guided the Going Merry down from the sky and onto the sea before they approached.
"That's the Baratie?!" Nami leaned on the railing, eyes sparkling. "It looks just like the rumors said!"
She'd always wanted to travel and see the world, but life under Arlong hadn't left her any freedom—only endless hustling for money.
Now, she could finally enjoy herself.
Kaya, who'd spent most of her life sick and bedridden, looked even more amazed. Every new place they visited was like another adventure.
"Hey, look!" Nojiko suddenly pointed ahead. "There's another pirate ship!"
Everyone turned to look.
A wreck, barely holding together.
The tattered flag flapping on the mast made Logan's lips curl into a faint smile.
"That ship's called the Dreadnaught Sabre. It belongs to Krieg—the self-proclaimed ruler of East Blue."
"The ruler of East Blue?!" Nami gasped. "So he's strong?"
"Who's stronger, him or Arlong?" she asked.
"No idea," Logan said casually. "Probably about the same—weak."
"Only seventeen million berries?" Nami scoffed. "Please. I killed Arlong and he was worth twenty."
Makino frowned. "If he's the ruler of East Blue, why's his ship such a mess?"
Logan chuckled. "Maybe he saw something he shouldn't have."
Poor bastards.
They'd set sail full of ambition, only to meet Dracule Mihawk on the Grand Line.
One look from that man was enough to shatter all their dreams.
Krieg's pride hadn't survived the encounter.
After docking the Merry, Logan stretched and grinned at the girls.
"Come on. Let's grab a meal. Time to treat ourselves."
The crew cheered and followed him toward the restaurant.
The front doors were wide open, and a loud, obnoxious laugh echoed out.
As they stepped inside, a scruffy man stood at the entrance, shouting toward the restaurant like a maniac.
"Hahahahaha! I've decided! From today on, this Baratie belongs to me! If you don't wanna die, you'd better do what I say!"
"....."
