"Dahlia, these hotel rooms cost a fortune, but they're always packed. How does that work?" Christina asked, her eyes wide with curiosity as she sat next to me.

"Hotel profits aren't about one night's bookings. You have to look at monthly performance, daily occupancy rates, average room prices, and revenue per available room," I explained, watching her absorb every word.

"But managing thousands of Seastar Hotels must be overwhelming," Christina said, visibly shuddering at the thought.

"Room revenue isn't our main income stream. The real money comes from franchise fees and management contracts. We only operate about a hundred properties directly, while over three thousand locations work under management agreements," I continued.

Harriet had always refused to franchise Seastar Hotels. The Mathews family's interest in partnering with the Bailey family meant securing franchise rights was their opening move.
