Dahlia's POV
Every ounce of energy had been drained from my body by the events of the day.
All I wanted was to escape this place and return to some semblance of normalcy. Between handling the Uriah family's spoiled princess and enduring unwanted attention from others, I felt completely depleted.
There had been fleeting moments of vindication, particularly when I witnessed the terror in Miranda's eyes and heard her pitiful cries echoing through the halls.
Yet seeing her fix me with that same venomous, immature hatred earlier made me wish I had prolonged her suffering. Maybe then she would have learned to retreat with her tail between her legs.
Naturally, I was only entertaining such dark thoughts. Had Miranda and her cronies not pushed me to my absolute limit, I never would have stooped to such measures in the first place.
