The message was simple and was expected to come sometime. But there was a bit of an issue.
Lord Darien had returned. He was going to find a mate dragon, which is fairly rare but Darien knew a place apparently.
So they were expecting two dragons on that return, but the problem was that there were apparently four dragons.
They had to get Layla as Kurt had never made a gate that large before. And prepare the gate for Valentine.
Luckily they were at a Bright Flame Castle away from their main encampment. The gate was still closed and a stay hadn't managed to arrange something yet. She had a lot to do in Hamlet still.
There Nelson the fae had remained, content alone in the broken castle. Fae are naturally solitary creatures, Layla seemed to break that mold.
There were some unexpected guests from his side as well, Barney from Helmsbrig, and Mother Lilly. They must have gotten similar messages.
"Shall we go then," said Layla, "I'm sure they are waiting on us."
