Betsy had been making several trips through Hamlet for the past few months. Trying to make negotiations and the terms had changed in the middle as well. Originally they needed permission to open a gate and to fly wyverns across the land.
But with the introduction of the temples and how small they realistically were, it was possible to simply buy a small plot of land. No flight whatsoever.
This changed the deals tremendously. Betsy had figured out the numbers of the potential options. Weekly moves of the gate would be more than doable as well with travel like that. It would only take Kurt a bit more than half an hour to take down and put up a new gate, and for the amount of wealth it generated.
Since Betsy was basically in charge of Wellspring's economy she had made several deals already. Focusing on smaller lords rather than the big ones.
