Chapter 42 - Chapter 42: Hungry Dragon????

For this, she specifically consulted Outcast.

Outcast, upon hearing her idea, thought it was good, but given that the burst of a single Thunderbolt Wedge was already terrifying during previous tests, and the strong current could easily damage other equipment in the training room, it was approved by Kal'tsit to conduct the experiment on the bridge.

The results of the experiment were very pleasing.

Kanna ensured the distance between the three Thunderbolt Wedges was about twenty meters, and then no matter which of the three Thunderbolt Wedges was detonated, a chain reaction would simultaneously detonate the other Thunderbolt Wedges.

Moreover, if a single Thunderbolt Wedge detonation was a sudden thunderclap on flat ground, three simultaneous detonations would cause a violent thunderstorm reaction at that location.

One time, it directly summoned a lightning pillar nearly forty meters thick from the sky.

It was also fortunate that the tests were conducted at the edge of the landship, aiming at the barren land outside, otherwise, even if the Rhodes Island itself could withstand it, the subsequent maintenance by the Engineering Department would break Kroos's heart.

After nearly half a month, Kanna heard while playing that the team sent to Laterano for a mission had returned. She thought of A1 Team and the dog, and wondered if Fang had listened to her, and if the dog had successfully come to Rhodes Island.

With curiosity, she led Popukar and Rosmontis towards the area where A1 Team usually frequented.

As for why Amiya wasn't with them, it was because the three of them were "unemployed vagrants," while Amiya was a ruler. Being able to spare time to play together for a while was already a special favor from Empress Dowager Kal'tsit, so she naturally couldn't wander around all day like the three of them.

Although Rosmontis often forgot many things due to her own reasons, she deeply remembered Kanna's small figure. As long as it wasn't for treatment or various tests, she would follow Kanna to play everywhere.

When they reached the vicinity of A1 Team's residence, they heard Fang's energetic voice from afar.

When they walked over, the members of A1 Team saw Kanna and quickly approached her with "adoration."

Upon getting closer, Eyjafjalla, who usually didn't talk much with Kanna, gave Kanna a rare hug.

Hibiscus, beside her, said with a hint of lingering fear, "Kanna-chan, could it be that you can foresee the future? Luckily, we were bored on the way, so Fang told us what you said. At the time, everyone thought you were playing a prank on us, but we didn't expect to actually encounter an attack from a Pero girl during the mission. It was Kroos who remembered your words and knocked her out with a few pieces of food mixed with sedatives, otherwise, my sister..."

"Ahaha... I can't foresee the future, but I know that doggy. Did you bring her back?" Kanna looked around but didn't find Cerberus.

Seeing Kanna looking left and right, Fang said, "We did bring her back, but her oripathy is very severe, and she's currently receiving treatment in the Medical Department."

Thinking of Cerberus's background, Kanna nodded. A somewhat naive girl who traveled half of Terra alone, and because she didn't understand protection, she suffered very severe oripathy along the way.

"Then how was your mission this time?" Since she knew Cerberus was already on Rhodes Island, Kanna was no longer in a hurry.

The reason she was looking for Cerberus was, firstly, she really liked this somewhat silly dog in the game, and secondly, she wanted to challenge her to a contest to see who was the biggest eater on Rhodes Island.

Fang nodded with a smile, "It was fine. Besides being attacked by that Pero girl named 'Cerberus,' the journey was relatively smooth sailing."

Kanna patted her chest, "That's good. I'll go see that doggy first. You guys just got back, so go rest."

As Kanna led Popukar and Rosmontis away, Kroos complained to the person next to her, "By the way, don't you guys have anything to say about Kanna-chan and the clothes of the two little ones next to her?"

Speaking of which, Kanna had suddenly asked the tailor on Rhodes Island to make a set of white T-shirts for herself, Popukar, Rosmontis, and Amiya a while ago.

Each one had a few Yan characters written on it. Kanna's read "Poor Chest" on the front and "Extremely Hungry" on the back. Popukar's read "Bricks Fly with Great Strength," Rosmontis's was "Unrivaled Cat," and Amiya's was "Donkey Meat Hotpot."

Although the other three didn't understand the meaning of the characters, they all gladly accepted Kanna's gift, as at least the characters on these few were not as provocative as the ones on Kanna's own shirt.

"Uh~ indeed, but Yan characters have multiple meanings, and we are not from Yan and don't have a deep understanding of their writing. It would be embarrassing if we evaluated it incorrectly."

Regarding this, Yato (Shio-chan), who participated in making the clothes, had something to say. When she received the characters Kanna had given her, she wanted to complain, thinking, 'Does she really think there are no Yan people on Rhodes Island, or that most Operators don't understand Yan characters? Isn't she afraid of being laughed to death?'

However, thinking that the people wearing them were either children or Rhodes Island's leaders, they probably wouldn't mock them even if they understood the meaning. So, although Kanna's approach was a bit absurd, it actually landed just above everyone's tolerance line and even brought a lot of joy to Rhodes Island.

For example, after witnessing Kanna's text T-shirts, many people found them very trendy and applied to the Engineering Department for similar clothing, which allowed Kroos to make a considerable profit after hearing the news.

Kanna and the others waited in the Medical Department for a while before seeing a doctor lead a not-so-bright-looking blonde Pero girl out.

As they walked, the doctor kept emphasizing something to her.

However, seeing the Pero's bewildered expression and wandering eyes, it was clear she hadn't listened to a word the doctor said.

Sure enough, as soon as the doctor's attention shifted, she began to look around, as if searching for something.

"Are you looking for that?" Kanna asked, pointing to a pocket not far away, as the Pero's gaze fell upon her.

Upon seeing the pocket, the Pero's eyes lit up. Before the nearby doctor could react, she pounced on the bag like a hungry dog.

After picking up the bag, she looked inside, found everything was there, and wagged her tail contentedly.

When her head emerged from the bag, she saw a small child standing beside her, curiously examining the Originium shards on her leg.

Kanna reached out and touched them, then looked up and asked, "Does it hurt to have these things growing on your leg?"

Perhaps it was the goodwill Kanna had earned by showing her the way earlier, but the Pero shook her head, "As long as I don't pay special attention to them, I don't feel anything most of the time. It only feels uncomfortable when I lie down to sleep."

"We have a very strong blacksmith on Rhodes Island, and I see some of your weapons are rusty. How about I take you to him for maintenance?"
