Chapter 57 - Chapter 56: How Could There Be Another Cat

Arriving at the restaurant, Kanna saw the people of A6 Team gathered nearby. Their leader, Zilan, was saying something.

Spot, who had been distracted, was idly looking around and happened to see Kanna approaching, so he waved at her.

She walked over curiously, the reason, of course, being Zilan.

Although Zilan was the captain of the A6 Preparatory Group, she rarely showed up with the A6 Team. As a sophisticated urban woman, she seemed more suited for office work than combat. During her time on the ship, she spent more time bustling between the Human Resources Department and the Medical Department (Psychological Counseling Room).

Of course, this didn't mean she neglected her team members, but Kanna-chan did meet with her less often.

Seeing Kanna-chan, Zilan nodded. Yue Jianye, sitting beside Popukar, also actively made a Spot for Kanna-chan.

"Our mission this time is to go to Blacksteel Worldwide to receive a batch of medical supplies. Besides our team, Hoshiguma and her assault team will be providing escort. It's said that Blacksteel Worldwide will send an exchange group to accompany us onto the ship, so this escort represents Rhodes Island's reputation. I hope everyone will try to control their emotions and not let outsiders look down on us."

Hearing Zilan's words, Kanna's eyes lit up. An exchange group from Blacksteel Worldwide! It seemed the rich Feline was coming. From what she knew, the relationship between Rhodes Island and Blacksteel Worldwide was very good, mainly due to Franka, a former B.P.R.S. member of Blacksteel Worldwide who boarded the ship before Kanna, and her partner Liskarm.

After she came to the island, due to her excellent combat experience, she was appointed as the sword fighting instructor for the action reserve Operators while being treated for oripathy. It could be said that except for Kanna, who directly skipped grades due to special circumstances after coming to the island, everyone else would follow her to learn to some extent.

Because of this, everyone had also heard many anecdotes about Blacksteel Worldwide from her.

However, Kanna, due to skipping grades, had not received their training.

Everyone was actually very much looking forward to participating in this mission.

After finishing dinner, Kanna held Popukar's hand and chatted with her in a low voice, mainly because Popukar was particularly excited about going on an external mission, and Kanna was worried that she would get too excited and cause trouble.

After all, everyone understood the individual states of the A6 Group. She was just afraid that something would go wrong in the middle. She also didn't know what Kal'tsit was thinking, assigning such a mission to the most unstable A6, not even afraid of tiring out the accompanying Hoshiguma.

But she wouldn't be so presumptuous as to go to Kal'tsit or Amiya and say something ridiculous like "the A6 Group is not suitable for external missions." This would only make the A6 members feel that Kanna looked down on them.

Moreover, there were also the "Explosive Drummer Hoshiguma" team and Blacksteel Worldwide personnel accompanying them. As long as there were no accidents, it could basically be considered a trip.

Soon, Popukar, urged by Yue Jianye, waved goodbye to Kanna. Although it was just after dinner, and Popukar and her team would leave the ship tomorrow, they had to go back now to quickly pack their equipment. Otherwise, it would be very awkward if they found things left behind when it was time to depart tomorrow.

After Popukar left, Kanna waited for Rosmontis and Amiya. They now knew that Popukar was going on an external mission, and Rosmontis showed an envious expression.

However, she also knew that her current state was not only unsuitable for leaving the ship, but even the release of her Originium Arts was controlled to prevent her from losing control again.

"Speaking of which, today I saw a Feline about your age, and her hair was white too!" Kanna thought of the Night Demon she met during the day and spoke as they walked.

"Her name is Gloria, and she also calls herself Night Demon. She's a very interesting person," Kanna continued, seeing Amiya and Rosmontis both looking at her.

"You mean Gloria? I've seen her before. I think you must have seen her in Sister Lena's Greenhouse," Amiya said, a look of realization in her eyes after hearing the name. Gloria, in a way, was somewhat similar to Rosmontis. Both were Felines, both had white fur, and the power within them both originated from "another person."

It was precisely Gloria's characteristic of multiple personalities that gave Amiya, the "mind-reading master," a special memory and made her aware that Kal'tsit had arranged for Gloria to undergo psychological treatment in Sister Lena's sanatorium due to her psychological condition.

Hearing Amiya and Kanna's words, Rosmontis tilted her head in confusion, as if somewhat puzzled. They were almost always together every day, so why did they suddenly have other Felines?

Later, Kanna said she would find a time to introduce Rosmontis to Gloria, which dispelled the little bit of unhappiness in Rosmontis's heart.

The three then played around on the ship together until it was time to rest before saying goodbye.

The next morning, Kanna, after waking up, was called to the Control Room. Seeing Kal'tsit's slightly meaningful expression and Amiya's "good luck" gaze from not far away, she instinctively felt a hint of unease.

Just as she was trying to subtly slip out of the Control Room, Kal'tsit raised her head, which had been focused on the documents in front of her.

"Come back..." With just two simple words, Kanna's attempt came to naught.

After she walked to the table, Kal'tsit pinched her brows, saying with a hint of fatigue, "Outcast has gone on an external mission. Before she left, she said that it's not good for you, Kanna, to just wander around the ship doing nothing. Given your sufficient strength, and from what I've learned from other Operators, you're not very clear about the land of Terra and most of its historical culture. So, I've decided to find you a teacher to tutor you in cultural subjects..."

Kal'tsit's words were like a bolt from the blue to Kanna. She didn't expect that after hiding for so long, she still couldn't escape cultural classes.

"After careful consideration, I have found Dr. Grace Arizona from our Medical Department for you. She will provide you with cultural education. Grace Arizona is from an ancient noble family in Victoria and has a very good understanding of the customs and cultures of various countries in Terra. You must follow her and study diligently."

After listening to Kal'tsit, Kanna's entire being turned ashen, her mind filled with terrifying things like classes, memorizing, and exams.

On the other side, Kal'tsit called Kanna's teacher.

When she learned that Kal'tsit wanted her to teach cultural classes to the child in front of her, she was also caught off guard, but she quickly calmed down and agreed to Kal'tsit's request.

"Hello, my name is Grace Arizona. You can also call me Whisperain. I hope we get along well in the days to come." Whisperain knew a thing or two about Kanna. After all, ever since she came to the island, she had continuously refreshed the Operators' understanding, and the news of her achieving Elite Operator and SWEEP at a young age had been announced throughout the ship. Even without meeting her, she knew that there was a young but incredibly powerful little Wyvern on Rhodes Island, with an appetite even more terrifying than her combat skills.
