"…What?" Confused, Ethen looked down.
He reached up, grasped the seam of his outer shell, and slowly peeled it back.
What appeared—
Was a terrifying, demonic-looking face paired with a solid, imposing body.
Even Ethen himself froze when he saw his reflection in the car window.
"…Whoa. This is…
…actually kind of awesome."
The Female Ghostfreak's expression stiffened.
Her gaze lingered for half a second too long.
Before, her affinity toward Ethen was purely because of the Love Watch's effect.
But now—
He could transform too.
And his form carried an overwhelming presence.
She turned her head away and coughed lightly.
"…Why did you summon me this early? I don't sense any enemies."
"I summoned you because there are no enemies." Ethen's tone turned serious as he floated closer.
"That's exactly why."
She immediately raised her guard.
"Ethen. I'm warning you. Don't do anything strange."
Her expression cooled as she spoke.
Ethen raised both hands.
"Relax. I'm not here to cause trouble. I just want to spar."
"…Spar?"
"Yes. A normal fight."
"No tearing, no reckless transformations, no destroying clothes."
"Just a clean, controlled test."
"…That's it?"
She stared at him as if he'd said something unbelievable.
"You summoned me at dawn. You transformed. And all of that… just to fight?"
Ethen scratched his cheek.
"…Well, when you say it like that, it does sound suspicious."
The Female Ghostfreak sighed.
"…You're unbelievable."
But after a brief pause—
She slowly nodded.
"…Fine. But don't regret it."
