Ethen walked out of the luxurious hotel, slowly yawning as he looked at Dr. Paradox standing in front of him.
"Dr. Paradox, why are you looking for me so late?" Ethen asked lazily.
"Is there some powerful enemy you want me to fight?"
Dr. Paradox didn't answer directly. Instead, he smiled faintly.
"In my memory, Grandpa Max isn't someone who enjoys luxury this much," he said.
"Is there something worth celebrating?"
"Yeah," Ethen replied casually.
"We took down Vilgax during the day. Played around all day to celebrate. We got tired, so we came to the hotel to rest."
Even Ethen showed a hint of exhaustion, his tone relaxed and satisfied.
"That fast?" Dr. Paradox sighed in amazement.
What was going on in other Multiverses?
Vilgax was defeated again and again, captured every time—but after more than ten years, he still hadn't truly died.
Ethen had only appeared for a month… and Vilgax had already been ground into dust.
"Let's get to the point, Dr. Paradox."
Ethen cut straight to the chase.
Dr. Paradox's expression turned serious.
"I've discovered the second-generation error watch. I need you to deal with it."
"Alright." Ethen agreed immediately, raising his wrist and revealing the Reversal Watch.
"To be honest, I'm even more confident this time dealing with the error watch."
If he used Alien X directly, he would lose consciousness.
But if he used Reversal Watch Alien X, at worst his body would lose control—
His consciousness would remain online.
That meant moments of absolute rationality.
"Hm. As for the second-generation error watch's abilities…"
After briefly explaining its functions, Dr. Paradox hesitated before adding,
"Brother Ben and the others may be in trouble. After you deal with the error watch, you'll also need to restore them."
"In trouble?" Ethen frowned slightly, surprised.
"How could they possibly be in trouble?"
"You'll understand when the time comes." Dr. Paradox fell silent for a moment.
"Have you already fought the second-generation error watch… with others?"
Ethen suddenly stepped forward, his voice sharp.
His expression became contemplative.
"…"
"Yes."
Dr. Paradox finally stopped hiding it and explained everything from beginning to end.
After listening, Ethen only nodded.
Then he turned around.
His expression was cold as he walked back toward the hotel.
"I'm sorry. As a hero, I can only do what's within my power—like saving my universe. I can't help this so-called Multiverse."
He spoke calmly, without anger, and walked away decisively.
From Dr. Paradox's perspective, his approach was flawless—safe, calculated.
But Ethen couldn't accept it.
His cooperation with Dr. Paradox had never been transactional.
He hadn't demanded rewards—but he also hadn't received complete trust.
So what was this?
Cleaning up someone else's mess?
Don't be ridiculous.
"Ethen… this is a Multiversal matter." Dr. Paradox sighed deeply, helpless.
"No one can escape it."
"Then we'll talk again when I'm in a better state."
Ethen replied without hesitation.
In the past, Multiversal matters had been his top priority.
Now?
He would still consider resolving them—
But they were no longer something he had to shoulder.
Ethen entered the elevator.
The doors closed.
No hesitation.
Dr. Paradox stood there, letting out a long sigh.
"Brother Ben's idealism… Ethen's temper… Everyone has their own way."
Raising his cane, space rippled.
Dr. Paradox stepped forward, his expression anxious.
"I'll go back and see what's happening…"
Inside the hotel room, Ethen lay down and went to sleep.
He no longer dwelled on Dr. Paradox's affairs.
Nor did he force himself to stay awake.
Time passed.
Exactly at 12:00 AM.
Ethen woke up on time.
Ding! The host's Reversal Watch has expired.
Would you like to permanently retain it in the Ability Pool?
"Can't afford it. Really can't."
Ethen waved his hand helplessly.
"Help me draw a new Omnitrix Template."
Ding! Congratulations to the host for receiving an Omnitrix Template.

Its upper limit was indeed lower than the Couple Watch.
But it possessed Alien X, Atomix, and Clockwork.
Ethen followed his instincts.
"I choose the Original Omnitrix Max-Level Edition."
He took a deep breath.
Whoosh.
The simple, unadorned Original Omnitrix materialized on his wrist.
Holding it close, Ethen fell asleep peacefully.
Morning came.
Ethen slowly woke to a faint but noisy commotion.
Max and Gwen were still sound asleep.
"Shit… what's making so much noise?"
Rubbing his eyes, Ethen walked to the window and looked down.
A massive crowd had gathered at the hotel entrance.
They pointed, discussed, and whispered.
Their voices barely reached him—but his perception was sharp.
"Huh."
"Let's go take a look."
After tidying himself up, Ethen headed downstairs.
At the hotel's main entrance—
Everyone stood clustered together, anxious, not daring to move forward.
Ethen squeezed through the crowd and reached the front.
Outside, on the road—
A golden, shimmering portal stood there, impossibly eye-catching.
No one dared approach it.
Passersby took photos, exclaimed in amazement, and even parked their cars to watch.
"Shit… what is Dr. Paradox doing now?"
Ethen's expression darkened.
"Why is he maintaining a portal to my universe again?"
Whoosh!
The portal rippled and flared open.
The crowd recoiled in fear.
Only Ethen remained where he stood, his face filled with uncertainty and surprise.
…What the hell is going on?
