Chapter 16 - Chapter 16 Ivan Vanke

Pepper Potts walked up to Tony Stark, who was staring intently at a Formula One car, deep in thought."Mr. Chairman, what are you thinking about?" she asked.

Tony looked up at her and smirked. "I've got an idea."

"Oh?" Pepper raised an eyebrow.

"I'm going to install my AI system into a Formula One car. I've even thought of a name—Super Intelligent Formula." Tony nodded proudly, waiting for her praise.

"Wow, amazing," Pepper said dryly. "If you ever enter the racing or automobile industry, our company's stock will skyrocket. I've even got a name for your new brand—Tesla." Her voice carried a hint of sarcasm.

"Haha, you're brilliant—as expected of my secretary." Tony grinned mischievously and slipped an arm around her waist.

"Hmph." Pepper quickly wriggled free of his hands and walked off with a pout.

"Hey, aren't you going to say something?" Tony called after her, watching as she turned and gave him a blank, exasperated look.

"Drive carefully. You're not a professional driver," she said before briskly walking away.

Her words of concern made Tony secretly smile.

"Seriously? I came here for business, and now I'm driving a car," Pepper muttered as she hurried off—her business partner was waiting.

Tony sat in the sleek red Formula One car, eyes fixed on the winding Monaco street circuit. The roar of the engine filled his ears, and the thrill of speed sent a wave of excitement through him.

The narrow, twisting Monaco track pushed every driver to their limit. Tony maneuvered with practiced precision, weaving through turns and straightaways, each corner demanding perfect control.

"Cool!" Tony shouted to himself, exhilarated.

But suddenly, a sharp pain pierced his chest. He grimaced, struggling against it, but the toxin in his bloodstream began spreading fast. His arc reactor—the very thing keeping him alive and powering Iron Man—was failing.

His vision blurred, his body weakening. The car began to swerve. He fought to keep control, gripping the wheel tightly, forcing the car to slow down.

Just as despair set in, a flash of lightning struck—the locks on the car doors shattered.

A massive impact followed. The car flipped violently, and Tony was thrown out, crashing painfully onto the asphalt. Blood and dust mixed as he rolled to a stop.

"Oh, Tony!" Pepper screamed from the VIP balcony. "Happy! Get the suit to Tony—now!"

"I'm on it!" Happy Hogan sprinted toward the pit.

Pepper quickly called emergency services.

Tony, struggling to stand, dodged a crackling whip that slashed through the air. His attacker emerged from the smoke—Ivan Vanko, wearing a powerful exosuit, electricity dancing across his twin energy whips.

"I finally found you, Tony Stark," Ivan growled. "The last of your thieving family. Soon, you'll join them."

He swung again, the electrified whip searing through the air. The crackling arcs lit up the track, the scent of ozone filling the air.

Tony rolled aside just in time, narrowly avoiding the deadly lash.

"You—who are you?" Tony gasped.

"I am the end of the Stark bloodline," Ivan sneered, tightening his grip. "You can call me Death."

He swung both whips down with full force.

BOOM!

The impact shattered concrete—but Tony had already fired a pulse from his gauntlet, blasting Ivan backward.

"Tony!" Happy arrived, panting, lugging a silver suitcase.

"Perfect timing," Tony said through gritted teeth, grabbing it.

In the VIP box, Nathan Hawke leaned back and smirked. "Transformers—begin," he murmured, recalling his childhood excitement watching Iron Man armor deploy.

Tony slammed his hands into the suitcase—panels unfolded, metal plates clicked into place. Within seconds, the Mark V Iron Man suit fully encased him in gleaming red and silver armor.

"I don't know who you are," Tony said, voice cold through the helmet, "but this circus act ends now."

The armored plating shimmered in the sunlight as he stood tall, a metallic titan of resolve.

Ivan froze, fury and fear warring in his eyes. His exosuit sparked violently.

"Time… I need more time…" he muttered under his breath.

Tony didn't give him any. He lunged forward, punching hard. Each blow slammed into Ivan's armor, sending shockwaves through the ground. Sparks flew with every hit until the exosuit began to break apart.

Ivan tried to counter, but Tony rocketed forward, striking from behind. The final punch shattered the suit's power core, sending Ivan crashing to the ground.

"You damn Stark!" Ivan roared, spitting blood.

Police sirens wailed. Monaco officers stormed in, tackling Ivan to the ground. He struggled and shouted, eyes blazing with hatred.

"You think you've won, Stark?! This isn't over! You and your family will burn!" he howled as they dragged him away.

Tony collapsed to one knee, his armor flickering.

From a distance, Nathan Hawke watched quietly as Justin Hammer, standing beside him, whispered under his breath over and over, eyes gleaming with manic excitement—

"Die, die, die, die…"

Nathan glanced around—he saw Happy rushing to Tony, Pepper crying out, medics running in, police securing the scene.

A man wearing a security uniform leaned close to Nathan and whispered, "Boss, Operation Hedgehog has begun."

"Understood," Nathan replied calmly. This time, Wesker was in command—Nathan trusted him completely.

"Enemy attack! Enemy attack!"

Red alarms blared. The corridors filled with shouts and gunfire.

Umbrella Corporation's special forces clashed violently with Hydra operatives. Gunfire roared, explosions shook the base.

Hydra soldiers fought fiercely from entrenched positions, but Umbrella's elite struck back with precision and coordination.

At the front, Sephiroth led the assault—calm, calculating, deadly. His blade gleamed as he cut through enemy lines, commanding his unit with flawless tactics.

Still, the resistance was brutal.

"Sir, their numbers are overwhelming," his lieutenant shouted over the gunfire.

Sephiroth narrowed his eyes. He knew what had to come next.

He needed an entrance—something decisive to turn the tide.
