Chapter 17 - Chapter 17 Raid on the Nine-Headed Snake Base

Suddenly, Sephiroth stepped beyond the defensive line, darting through the enemies like lightning. His movements were graceful and precise—each slash of his blade carried lethal power and perfect accuracy. The enemies were torn apart before they could even react, overwhelmed by his devastating attacks.

Sephiroth revealed his cold, merciless side. There was not an ounce of compassion in his eyes—his only goal was annihilation. Speaking calmly over the radio, he said to his lieutenant, "The defensive line has been breached. Stay alert."

But while he was ruthless toward his enemies, Sephiroth showed warmth and care toward his comrades. He remained vigilant, always providing timely support and protection to his team.

"Kill him! Kill him!" shouted a mid-ranking Hydra officer, pointing at the rampaging Sephiroth.

Sephiroth stood among the corpses of Hydra soldiers, his gaze icy and unfeeling. A katana appeared in his hand, its blade gleaming with a cold, metallic light. His movements were fluid and lethal, like a predator on the hunt.

Each strike of his sword was swift and deadly. The blade sliced through the air, piercing the vital points of his enemies. The Hydra soldiers had no chance—blood sprayed as bodies collapsed, their lives erased by Sephiroth's merciless blade.

Bullets rained down on him, but Sephiroth moved with elegant speed, dodging every shot. In a flash, he countered, his sword cutting down soldiers before they could reload.

His swordsmanship was overwhelming—precise, powerful, and unpredictable. Sometimes his strikes raged like a storm; other times, they flowed like gentle rain. No one could anticipate his rhythm. His blade shimmered as it swept through the battlefield, reducing Hydra's ranks to nothing but corpses.

The Hydra soldiers began retreating in panic, but Sephiroth gave them no chance to breathe.

"Go!" the Hydra officer yelled, raising his weapon.

"Your resistance is nothing but a futile struggle," Sephiroth said, his voice low and cold. "Under my sword, you are nothing more than corpses waiting to fall."

The officer's blood ran cold at the sound of his voice—then his vision went dark as he fell lifelessly to the ground.

Sephiroth didn't even look back. His attention was fixed on the Hydra soldiers whose morale was collapsing.

"You were once soldiers of Hydra," he said softly, "but now you are merely puppets under my blade. None of you can escape the shadow of death—you're nothing but insects crawling in my fate."

Meanwhile, on another battlefield—

"Blow it up! Blow it up! Blow it up!"

"Hahahahaha!"

Electro shouted excitedly as he watched the special forces soldiers lift rocket launchers and open fire.

"Commander, we need your power," said his lieutenant calmly.

"Commander, we require your lightning strike to destroy Hydra's base," the lieutenant continued firmly.

Electro nodded, electricity crackling in his eyes. Energy surged through his body as he prepared to unleash a devastating assault.

The lieutenant outlined the attack plan: "First, we'll use the commander's aerial strike to clear the enemy's anti-air defenses. Once those are destroyed, our aircraft can enter the airspace safely."

"Next," he continued, "our ground teams will infiltrate the base, destroying their communications and power systems to cripple their resistance. We'll rely on your control over electricity to paralyze their power grid and plunge them into darkness."

"Once that's done," he concluded, "we'll assist the commander in launching a full-scale assault to wipe out the Hydra soldiers inside the base."

"Good. Proceed as planned," Electro replied.

The special forces moved swiftly, working in perfect coordination with Electro. Fighter jets and helicopters circled overhead, preparing to take out the anti-air weapons.

Electro stood atop a high vantage point, staring intently at the Hydra base. As energy built within him, arcs of lightning danced across his body, flickering like living serpents. He spread his arms wide, and with a thunderous roar, released a massive surge of electricity that vaporized Hydra's anti-air defenses in a blinding flash.

The lieutenant immediately ordered his men to move. Explosions erupted across the base as aircraft bombarded remaining defenses, the sky lit up with fire and smoke. Hydra's defensive line collapsed completely.

With the skies clear, the special forces stormed the base under the cover of night, using night-vision and tactical comms to coordinate flawlessly.

Electro followed close behind, flooding the base with electric energy. The entire facility went dark, and panic swept through Hydra's ranks as communications were cut off.

Taking advantage of the chaos, the special forces eliminated enemy soldiers one by one.

Meanwhile, Electro unleashed his power without restraint—electric arcs burst from his hands, striking Hydra troops with sizzling precision. Each strike dropped a soldier in an instant; his attacks were merciless.

"What is that?" Electro muttered, noticing a hulking, muscular figure emerging from the shadows.

"Hail Hydra!" roared the officer beside the creature, his face full of manic confidence.

"Enjoy this moment," the officer sneered. "This enhanced super-soldier will tear you apart. You'll die screaming in your final act of failure!"

The mutant grinned arrogantly, muscles bulging as power surged through his body.

Crack!

The officer's head was crushed like a melon by the mutant's hand.

"Wow," Electro said, smirking slightly, intrigued by the brutality.

"Thanks for showing up," the mutant sneered. "You've given me a chance to escape—so I'll make sure your death is... entertaining."

Electro didn't flinch; lightning flashed in his eyes as he prepared to face his opponent head-on.

"Oh really? Then I guess I should thank you too, idiot."

"Die!" the mutant roared, charging forward with massive fists. But Electro's body blurred like lightning—every punch missed.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The mutant's punches smashed walls and floors, leaving craters everywhere—but none could touch Electro.

"What's this game called again?" Electro asked mockingly as he dodged another blow.

"Bastard!"

The mutant roared, his body swelling even larger.

"Whoa, careful there," Electro teased. "You might just explode. Hope your arms don't fly off."

With a leap, he dodged another attack as the lieutenant's voice came over comms.

"Guess I can't play with you anymore," Electro said coldly.

He gathered energy in his hands—electricity crackling like a living storm.

"I'm going to shatter you."

"What—!?" the mutant screamed as lightning engulfed him. His strength faltered under the voltage, but he refused to give up, throwing one last desperate punch.

Electro smirked. Without mercy, he summoned electric currents from the ground, forming a glowing cage around the mutant. The air hummed violently with energy.

"This technique's called Electric Prison," Electro said darkly. "Developed by Umbrella's top scientists—and you're the first test subject. Be honored."

He clapped his hands.

Zzzzzzzttt!

The cage contracted.

"NOOOO!!!"

The mutant's screams echoed through the base—but it was already over.

Electro watched the body fall, expressionless, devoid of pity.

Elsewhere—

"I'm not sure how to proceed," said Andre, turning to his lieutenant.

"We'll divide into three assault teams," the lieutenant explained according to Wesker's strategy. "Team One: eliminate the sentries and early-warning systems to keep our approach undetected. Use stealth and sniping—if discovered, eliminate all witnesses immediately."

"Team Two: my team will destroy the communications network and surveillance systems. Using tech and explosives, we'll sever Hydra's contact with the outside world."

"Team Three: the commander will lead the main assault. Our goal is to annihilate Hydra's soldiers and destroy their armories and laboratories."

Andre looked toward the Hydra base, his expression calm but resolute. He took a deep breath, focusing his energy.
