"I don't know who you are," Azazel said, his voice steady despite the weight pressing on his chest, "but I do know Vali's nature. So I won't blame you. Still—in my name, please spare him."
The words hung heavy in the air. The tension was suffocating; even the wind seemed to hesitate between them. Lucian didn't answer right away. His eyes glowed faintly—silver fire flickering behind calm disinterest. The aura around him was sharp enough to cut the air, chaotic and unbound, making Azazel's instincts scream danger. Even he wasn't sure who would win if they fought, and that uncertainty alone was terrifying.
But what unsettled him more wasn't Lucian.
It was the woman standing behind him—Velzard.
Her gaze was cold, ancient, and unreadable. He couldn't even measure her power; it was like staring into a glacier that extended into infinity.
Lucian sighed softly, the frost-laden air shimmering around him. "It's okay. Take him away."
His voice carried no malice, only the quiet exhaustion of someone who'd already decided the outcome. He shifted back into his human form, wings and scales dissolving like mist under moonlight.
As the oppressive air eased, Azazel moved quickly, collecting Vali's unconscious body and retreating. Only when they vanished beyond the skyline did Lucian finally turn toward Velzard.
"Wanna go find Rimuru?" he asked casually, brushing frost dust off his coat.
"I certainly would…" Velzard murmured, her tone low and contemplative. "But I have a certain task to fulfill. I'll see you around soon."
She waved her hand lightly, and the world froze—literally. Frost veins cracked across the sky as space itself crystallized before shattering into shards of light. A portal opened—its edges humming with divine resonance—leading to the Cardinal World. Without another word, Velzard stepped through and was gone.
Lucian stood there for a moment, watching the rift close behind her. "Wonder what happened to her," he muttered.
He, however, didn't know. The Genesis-grade weapon—the Sickle of Cronus—had shaken even her composure. For someone of Velzard's level, that was saying something. She didn't suspect him; her trust was too high for that. But she had to make sure no other being was running around with relics from creation's dawn.
"Oh well." He stretched lazily. "Better go find Rimuru."
---
With a faint flash of light, Lucian vanished—and immediately regretted it.
"Fuck… so much for avoiding clichés," he groaned.
He'd materialized smack in the middle of a steamy bathhouse.
And not just any bathhouse—a women's bathhouse.
Rimuru sat comfortably—very comfortably—on a pair of massive breasts belonging to none other than Yasaka herself, the legendary Youkai Queen. Around them were several other Youkai women in varying states of undress. Steam curled through the air like mischievous spirits.
Lucian's eyes widened. "Oh, for the love of—"
Before he could blink, a dozen spells shot his way. He was launched through the roof, landing flat on the pavement outside.
"Lucian, you pervert!" Rimuru's voice echoed from inside. "Why are you teleporting into a bathhouse?!"
He coughed, sitting up, clothes charred slightly from the blast. "Ahh, it's definitely a misunderstanding!" he called back. "You know how my teleportation works—I just used you as an anchor! You're a slime, I didn't even think about the possibility of a cliché happening!"
Rimuru sighed. "See, girls? Total misunderstanding. Please forgive him for my sake—Lucian wouldn't do something like that."
The Youkai exchanged skeptical glances but, thankfully, most were still naked and not particularly eager for another fight. With irritated mutters, they scattered back into the bathhouse.
Lucian dusted himself off and gave a strained smile. "So, Rimuru… how exactly did you end up here?"
Rimuru shrugged, still in her female form, water dripping from her hair. "Hmm… let's see. I was just minding my own business, gobbling up manga when I met this little girl looking for one too. Helped her out, and guess what—turns out she's the princess of the Youkai. Then, boom—city shakes, magicules go wild, someone starts fighting nearby. The barrier they put up only protected non-supernaturals, so everyone else got blasted by aura backlash."
Lucian grimaced. That someone was probably him.
He nodded, avoiding the topic and focusing on something else. "And you saved the princess, I'm guessing?"
"Yup. Her guards tried, but it wasn't enough. After I helped, they all got super thankful. Her mom invited me over, saw through my illusion but didn't mind. Then I saw the bathhouse…" Rimuru smiled dreamily. "And, well—you know the rest."
Lucian chuckled. "Yeah, classic Rimuru."
Soon, Yasaka reappeared, now dressed—or rather, barely dressed—in her usual golden outfit that left very little to the imagination. Her warm smile, however, carried the calm authority of someone used to ruling both men and monsters.
"Lady Yasaka," Lucian said, bowing politely. "I'd like to apologize once again for the… unintentional teleportation."
She laughed softly. "No worries. Accidents happen, even among experts. And any friend of Lady Rimuru is welcome here."
That night passed peacefully. Rimuru spent it indulging in snacks (which she sadly still couldn't taste), gossip, and bathhouse luxuries she'd missed since Japan.
By morning, she was playing with Kunou—the little fox princess—while Lucian borrowed a phone from one of the attendants. Dialing in, he waited through the crackle of connection.
---
"Who's this?"
"Sona there?"
"Lucian?" Her voice brightened immediately. "Oh, hi! I've been trying to reach you since last night—your phone's been dead."
"Yeah," he chuckled sheepishly, "that one broke a while ago. I'll grab a new one later."
"So where are you now?"
"Oh, Kyoto. Just hanging out. What about you? How have things been after… you know, the whole Cardinal World trip?"
Her tone softened. "We're fine. Honestly, it wasn't as bad as I thought. After yesterday's fight, things calmed down. We only had a few skirmishes early on, but that's about it."
Lucian leaned against a railing, smiling faintly. "Thank God. I've been feeling guilty about that. You went all that way looking for me."
"Don't be," she said warmly. "If anything, we're the ones who owe you. Without you, we don't even know what would've happened yesterday. Our side was actually losing."
"Yeah, you can thank Velzie for that," he replied. "If Noir had gone serious, I'd probably have been paste."
Sona chuckled softly. "I'll make sure to thank her, then. Actually, my family's planning to host a dinner soon—to thank you properly. You should come. Bring Lady Velzard if she's free."
"I'll try," Lucian said. "She's got… things to handle. But I'll be there."
"I'd like that," she said, voice gentle now.
"Seeya."
"Bye, Lucian."
The call ended with the faint buzz of quiet static.
Lucian exhaled, giving the phone back to its owner. The conversation lingered with a strange warmth.
---
After chatting a bit more with Yasaka and learning about Kyoto's tangled supernatural politics, Lucian sent Rimuru back to her village and teleported himself to Kuoh.
The night was calm—too calm. Streetlights flickered against the cold wind as he walked, thoughts swirling.
"I wonder where the story's heading now…" he mused aloud.
From what he remembered of the High School DxD timeline, Issei should've already died and been revived by Rias—but since Rias was in another world, that timeline was off the rails. Asia should've been next to appear.
Thinking about the later story, if anyone deserved to be an angel, it was her—not Irina. Asia had suffered a lot, actually, he thought to himself.
Lucian sighed. "If I can, I'll give her a hand."
That thought stuck with him. He wanted to see what was happening. But he really didn't have any skill for large-area surveillance.
And then it hit him—he could.
---
Inside the Dimensional Gap, chaos shimmered like molten glass.
Lucian stood at its center, his form warping. Scales tore through skin, horns spiraled upward, wings of shadow and light unfurled behind him. The eldritch transformation rolled through him like a tidal wave of existence itself.
But he didn't stop there. Drawing upon Leviathan's legacy—upon the pure essence of Typhon—he let the transformation deepen, his body becoming a cathedral of monsters, an orchestra of divinity and chaos.
The Gap quaked. Energy spilled from him in waves, yet it felt right.
Before Great Red showed up to investigate, he focused.
He was here to create.
He raised a clawed hand, power spiraling between his fingers. "Let's make something special…"
What he envisioned was not a weapon—but a watcher. Something that could see.
A creature meant to observe, process, and connect. To exist between dreams, weaving information together.
He poured in data, energy, and fragments of will. From that storm, a form began to take shape—a shifting, translucent being of countless eyes and flowing tendrils. Its presence hummed in harmony with the dreams of the multiverse.
A being that only existed inside a dream.
The Dream Watcher was born.
---
Received: Unique Skill Monster Lord has evolved into Ultimate Skill: Abhoth — God of Monsters.
Lucian was pleasantly surprised by the Voice of the World; his act of creation had been recognized and rewarded.
He opened the system window, eyes scanning through the data with growing intrigue.
---
Ultimate Skill: Abhoth — God of Monsters
A divine-class evolution of Monster Lord, representing the pinnacle of creation, dominion, and evolution over all monstrous beings. Abhoth governs the birth, development, and hierarchy of all monsters under the wielder's will.
---
Sub-Skills:
Ultraspeed Thought:
Enhances cognitive processing and reaction speed to an extreme degree, allowing millions of thoughts to occur simultaneously. Enables the user to analyze, plan, and adapt at the speed of instinct, effectively nullifying surprise attacks and unpredictable circumstances.
Universal Perception:
Allows perception of all forms of existence — physical, spiritual, conceptual, and dimensional. The user can sense entities across planes, perceive mana, magicules, and even fragments of divine consciousness in real time.
Analytical Appraisal:
A composite skill capable of scanning, interpreting, and recording all forms of information — biological, spiritual, mechanical, or abstract. Generates complete data profiles of any observed subject, including their weaknesses, energy composition, and potential evolutions.
Skill Duplication:
Enables replication of any skill, magic, or technique observed and understood by the user. The effectiveness depends on comprehension depth and available energy. Perfect synergy with Analytical Appraisal allows near-instant mastery of copied abilities.
Monster Subordination:
All monsters weaker than the user, or those defeated or named by the user, can be automatically subordinated. Naming no longer consumes personal magicules if environmental magicules are abundant. Subordinates gain evolution paths linked directly to the user's skill tree. All named monsters are recognized as part of the "Abhoth Network," permanently connected to the user's awareness.
Evolution:
Allows direction and manipulation of evolutionary paths for oneself and all subordinates. The user may modify or create entirely new evolution routes, adjusting attributes, instincts, and affinities to better suit individual roles or environmental needs.
Spawn:
Permits the creation of new monsters using sufficient data, energy, and matter. By combining genetic templates, magicule structures, and conceptual fragments, new species can be born. The quality of creations depends on available resources and the precision of conceptual design.
Organic Decoding:
Dissects and converts organic or instinctual data — including skills, senses, or genetic information — into usable formats. This allows the user to recreate natural talents or biological adaptations as artificial or transferable skills.
Ruler:
Grants complete access to the data, memories, and skill sets of all subordinates under the user's command. Enables simultaneous management of multiple monsters, as well as synchronized combat coordination and skill-sharing among them.

Lucian's lips curled slightly as he read.
It was a significant upgrade from Monster Lord — not only in power but in complexity. Some features overlapped with his Essence of Typhon, but the synergy between them opened new possibilities. The versatility alone was worth the evolution.
Still, what caught his attention most wasn't the system message — it was the being he'd created.
A creature that existed only within the realm of dreams, yet pulsed with impossible awareness.
---
"You shall be called Amanush from now on," Lucian declared.
The entity stirred. Its countless eyes blinked open within the swirling void — and the system responded instantly.
---
Amanush has acquired Unique Skill: Churning.
---
Intrinsic Skills:
Dream Network:
All dreams are interconnected, forming an infinite lattice of consciousness that transcends space and dimension. By entering this network, the user can access fragments of memory, emotion, and sensory data from any dreamer connected to it. The information can be woven into a "Dream Web," functioning as a universal information grid — an ethereal internet of sleeping minds.
Data Filtering:
Allows rapid processing of immense streams of raw information. Filters, categorizes, and condenses data to extract only relevant fragments, eliminating redundancy. When used alongside Dream Network, it can isolate global-scale events, recent memories, or emotional imprints with near-perfect accuracy.
---
Unique Skill: Churning
A skill embodying conceptual synthesis and refinement.
It allows the combination, compression, and evolution of all forms of data — whether magical, organic, or informational. Skills, spells, and arts can be merged or "churned" into superior forms, removing inefficiencies while enhancing compatibility. The process adapts results to perfectly align with the user's essence and skill architecture.
---
Lucian smiled, impressed. "That's exactly what I needed."
He immediately got to work, merging skills through Churning.
First, he combined his Analytic Assistant with the extracted skill Seer, then integrated data from Dream Network and Data Filtering to enhance perception and analysis. Finally, he merged fragments of Extraction, creating a seamless system of omniscient awareness.
---
Confirmed: Unique Skill [Analytic Assistant] has evolved into Unique Skill [All Seeing Seer].
---
The moment the fusion completed, Lucian's perception exploded outward.
He could feel minds dreaming across countless worlds — fragments of stories, nightmares, and fading thoughts. Each pulse of consciousness became a thread in his web of vision.
His eyes reflected infinite fractals of light as a calm smile spread across his face.
"Now this," he murmured, "is going to be fun."
A/n: Don't worry, the power up might feel big but in reality it's a small power up, I just mostly wanted to give him a bit more skills and also some good perception. Also while it says he can see across worlds etc, it's not passive. The passive part it around continent level.
Anyways, would you like an R-18 chapter (gonna be short) or just integrate R-18 stuff in chapter?
