Yakumo was arranged by Tsunade to receive treatment at Konoha Hospital.
With Tsunade's status and authority, lifting the Anbu's surveillance over Yakumo only took a single command.
In the original story, Tsunade returned to the village and immediately became Hokage.
Having been away from Konoha for so many years, she was unfamiliar with many current affairs.
After the "Konoha Crush" plan, the Third Hokage died in battle.
With other nations circling like vultures, Tsunade was overwhelmed with responsibilities.
By the time she learned about Yakumo, her inner demon had already erupted—and Tsunade had no time to deal with it.
But now, with advance knowledge, the situation was no longer unsolvable for a medical genius like her.
Of course, Itsuki's help was indispensable.
He needed to visit the hospital regularly to transfer life energy into Yakumo, strengthen her body, comfort her emotions, and guide her in physical training.
Shizune supervised the day-to-day care.
Tsunade only needed to design the treatment plan and monitor its progress.
As for Itsuki… Tsunade resumed tormenting him with brutal training.
Fortunately, thanks to his prior sessions, Itsuki had already met Tsunade's expectations and soon surpassed them.
Only then did Tsunade begin to teach him seriously about chakra bursts.
If it was just a flashy offensive technique, Itsuki wouldn't have cared much.
At best, it was icing on the cake.
But once he realized that mastering chakra bursts might allow him to recreate the infamous Spicy Tiansai, his motivation exploded.
For that purpose, he even went to Hinata to ask about chakra points.
That afternoon, Itsuki was in the backyard, pondering how to release chakra through acupoints, when a familiar voice rang out.
"Itsuki-kun! Itsuki-kun! I'm here to do the spicy thing with you!"
A joyful cry echoed as a red-haired girl came running at full speed.
She dove straight into his arms, hugging him tightly.
"Ahhh! Itsuki-kun, I missed you so much! So, so much! You still smell so good!"
The girl rubbed her face against his chest like a spoiled child, so exaggerated that even Itsuki was startled.
But then he recognized her and asked in surprise, "Karin? Why are you here?"
He had been buried in training recently.
Itsuki hadn't paid much attention to Karin and her mother, who weren't living in Konoha.
Even the four Konoha girls who visited occasionally received little attention.
As a result, aside from Sakura, who had already reached LV2, the other four Konoha girls were still stuck at LV1—and complaining nonstop in the harem chat group.
Before Itsuki could process what was happening, Tsunade approached with a smile.
Beside her was Kana, unable to hide her excitement.
"Aunt Kana?" Itsuki froze for a moment, then understood.
This was Tsunade's doing. She had found an opportunity to bring them back.
With Tsunade around, Itsuki didn't need to worry about Karin or Kana.
Even if Kusagakure knew about it, they wouldn't dare cause trouble.
And if they did? Tsunade would show them the meaning of violent aesthetics.
With her status, no one could stop her even if she acted unreasonably.
And in this case, Kusagakure had no ground to stand on anyway.
Just as Itsuki guessed, Tsunade quickly explained with a smile:
"I was out gathering herbs when I happened to meet Kana and Karin. After learning about their situation, I brought them back."
"After all, I carry Uzumaki blood myself. If I had known they were stranded outside, how could I have just stood by? As for those beasts from Kusagakure—I'll scatter them to the winds if they dare to come here!"
In reality, Tsunade had contacted Karin through the Fabrication System chat group, staged an 'accidental' encounter, and revealed her identity.
Naturally, Kana followed her without hesitation.
Itsuki gave Tsunade a big thumbs-up. "Aunt, you're mighty! You're domineering!"
Kana chuckled softly. "Lady Tsunade, please don't say such things. I'm already satisfied with the life I have now. The past no longer matters. With you around, I'm sure the future will only get brighter. That's enough for me."
Kana didn't want her troubles to weigh on Itsuki or Tsunade.
But neither of them took Kusagakure seriously.
It was just a minor village. If they dared step into Konoha, then they'd deal with it properly.
That day, Itsuki was excused from training and tasked with showing Karin around the village.
She clung tightly to his arm the entire time, beaming with joy.
Tsunade had already arranged Konoha resident certificates for Karin and Kana.
From now on, they were villagers of Konoha—meaning Karin could openly stay at Itsuki's side.
Itsuki glanced at the arm wrapped around his own.
Unlike in the original story, Karin had escaped her suffering early.
Her life had improved, her nutrition was better, and her body was far healthier.
To put it simply… well, those who understand will understand.
"Itsuki-kun, look over there! Isn't it interesting? This is my first time seeing this!"
"Itsuki-kun, Konoha is so full of people. It's the most prosperous village I've ever seen. Can I really live here now?"
"Itsuki-kun, you're so handsome!"
Karin chattered endlessly, so excited that she nearly tripped over her own words.
Itsuki only smiled, quietly listening. Occasionally, he'd reply with a word or two, never once looking impatient.
As they strolled, they crossed paths with Team 8 and Team 10.
Asuma and Kurenai Yuhi walked in front, with six students trailing behind.
Asuma leaned toward Kurenai, trying to start a conversation, but she quietly kept her distance.
"Ahhh?! Karin!!" Before anyone else could greet Itsuki, Ino's exclamation rang out.
Why was Karin in Konoha—clinging so close to Itsuki—and without warning? Outrageous!
"Karin, why are you here?" Hinata asked, eyes wide in surprise.
The others looked back and forth between Ino and Karin.
The red hair was eye-catching, but she clearly wasn't from Konoha.
"A foreign kunoichi? No forehead protector… but I can sense chakra," Asuma muttered. "Itsuki, who is this girl? Do you know her, Ino?"
Karin shrank behind Itsuki nervously, afraid of causing him trouble.
Itsuki smiled calmly and introduced her:
"This is Karin, a member of the Uzumaki clan. My aunt brought her back. She already has Konoha residency papers, and the Third Hokage is aware."
"I see," Asuma said, relaxing.
"It's rare to meet someone from the Uzumaki clan nowadays. Konoha once had very close ties with the Land of Whirlpools. In fact, all of our standard Chūnin vests have the Uzumaki crest on the back."
"Eh? Really?"
"This is the first I've heard of it!"
"So that pattern is the Uzumaki clan's emblem?!"
The children were shocked to hear this for the first time.
Inside, Itsuki felt a pang of resentment.
Sure, Konoha had once been close with the Uzumaki. But when the clan was destroyed, Konoha did nothing.
If they truly didn't know about the attack, that might be forgivable.
The Land of Whirlpools was far, and wars made communication slow.
But afterward? Survivors scattered and suffered all across the shinobi world.
Konoha had the power and resources to gather and protect them. Why didn't they?
You could argue they were still weakened by war at the time. But what about decades later? Not a single survivor was rescued?
[Note: Kushina once mentioned she was "brought from the Land of Whirlpools" and that her homeland had been destroyed—but she didn't say whether it happened before or after she came to Konoha. So the claim that Konoha deliberately let the Uzumaki perish and only "snatched" a Nine-Tails vessel isn't entirely accurate. It may not have been so absolute.]
