"Painting Wall."
Song Jie's tone was casual, almost teasing.
Ren Tao turned to the two instructors who hadn't been hit. "Was it really Painting Wall?"
The female instructor nodded. "Yes. It was Painting Wall."
The other confirmed it as well.
Ren Tao was fuming now. Song Jie really had used a defensive spell—and yet, he'd been sent flying! He didn't even know what to call that move anymore!
"Continue the assessment!" Ren Tao barked, taking a deep breath.
Song Jie smiled faintly and nodded.
"His defense magic is a bit unusual," one instructor muttered. "We should be cautious."
Having been humiliated once, Ren Tao wasn't about to fall for another trick.
"This time, go all out. Don't give him any openings!"
The instructors nodded.
In the stands, students whispered nervously.
"Director Ren looks pissed… Song Jie's in trouble now!"
"It doesn't matter. Even the first-place student in our Light Element Academy couldn't withstand attacks from all five instructors."
"Hah, I bet Song Jie won't last more than thirty seconds."
"Twenty seconds!"
"Ten seconds tops—he'll be eliminated instantly!"
While the crowd speculated, Ren Tao and the instructors began their assault.
This time, none of them held back—they started with third-tier Intermediate magic!
"Fierce Fist – Nine Palaces!!"

The audience erupted in chatter, convinced Song Jie was finished.
The female instructor frowned. "Director Ren, isn't that a bit much?"
They all knew Ren Tao's Fire Element possessed a Soul Seed, making it far more powerful than ordinary fire.
Ren Tao replied coldly, "If he can't endure this, then he doesn't deserve the school's exception for dual cultivation."
Suddenly—
A familiar voice echoed from within the sea of fire.
"Well said! I completely agree with that, Teacher."
The entire arena froze. Everyone recognized that voice.
As the flames dispersed, Song Jie walked out—completely unscathed.
"Whose flames were those? They couldn't even break my Holy Shield. Was it cultivated on a dog?" Song Jie said calmly, his eyes fixed on Ren Tao.
The crowd gasped. Everyone had seen that the fire spell came from Director Ren himself.
That line was a direct mockery!
Ren Tao's face darkened. Furious and humiliated, he still couldn't figure out how Song Jie had blocked the attack so easily.
"All of you—attack together!" he shouted.
The instructors exchanged uneasy glances but obeyed, casting their spells simultaneously.
Yet no matter what they threw at him—fire, lightning, ice, or sound—their attacks couldn't break through Song Jie's Holy Shield!
"How is this possible?!"
"Isn't that just first-tier Intermediate Holy Shield?! How can it withstand so many third-tier spells?!"
"I suddenly feel like my Holy Shield is fake…"
Ren Tao frowned deeply. None of this made sense.
"Teacher Rong Min, use Sound Element magic!" he ordered.
Until now, they had only used elemental magic. He refused to believe Song Jie could also resist mental-type attacks!
