When Song Jie met up with Li Rui, Mu Yuang had not yet gone to meet the Blue Deacon.
Li Rui reported, "He kept circling around before, stopping at certain spots for a while."
Song Jie nodded.
Mu Yuang was clearly trying to avoid being followed, which explained why he paused each time he reached a new area.
However, it was impossible for him to detect Li Rui's presence given her strength.
"I'll take over here for now," Song Jie said. "You return to the Dimensional Space. I'll call you out if anything happens."
Li Rui nodded and was instantly drawn back into the Dimensional Space by Song Jie.
He continued tailing Mu Yuang while sending a message to Tang Yue.
A short while later, Tang Yue arrived and met up with Song Jie. Both of them hid in the shadows.
"Is that a Black Vatican member?" Tang Yue whispered, glancing at Mu Yuang in the distance.
"Yes."
"What's he going to do?"
"I'm not sure. He's very cautious—like he's either waiting for someone or about to meet someone," Song Jie said, intentionally hinting at something.
Tang Yue looked at Mu Yuang, dressed entirely in black, her brows furrowed.
"This man must be a Black Robe Priest of the Black Vatican," she murmured. "He's being this careful, which can only mean…"
He's meeting the Blue Deacon!
The realization made Tang Yue's expression turn grave. She immediately pulled out her phone and sent a message to her colleagues.
"Teacher Tang Yue," Song Jie asked suddenly, "if I provide you with information, can I get a bounty too?"
"This situation's different," Tang Yue replied. "Only if you capture or kill the target yourself do you get the full bounty. But if you assist, the Judgment Association will still give you some rewards."
"??!!"
Song Jie froze for a moment, realizing he had been careless.
Even though he could catch Mu Yuang himself, he didn't want to reveal his strength yet.
Still, he didn't want to miss out on the Blue Deacon's head either.
He decided that once the time came, he would act and claim it himself.
Tang Yue continued coordinating with the Judgment Association. Their members began quietly moving toward the area.
This was a big catch—none of them could afford to let it slip away.
"We'll follow him for now and wait for the right moment," Tang Yue said softly.
"Understood."
At that moment, Mu Yuang had no idea he was being followed.
The Judgment Association had tightened surveillance in Magic City recently, leaving him with no chance to contact his superior upon arrival.
After sending several secret signals, Mu Yuang finally confirmed that the Deacon would meet him tonight.
Extremely cautious, he circled the streets multiple times before heading to the meeting place once he felt it was safe.
He stopped in front of a Qing Bar, scanned the surroundings from the corner of his eye, and then stepped inside.
Seeing this, Song Jie and Tang Yue exchanged glances and followed.
A Qing Bar was different from a normal one—it featured soft music, a calm atmosphere, and no dancing.
Inside, in the dim lighting, they quickly spotted Mu Yuang.
"Hello, just the two of you?" a waiter greeted them politely.
Song Jie nodded.
"This way, please."
The waiter led them to a small table and smiled. "Please scan the QR code to order drinks." Then he walked off.
Meanwhile, Song Jie and Tang Yue kept their eyes fixed on Mu Yuang's table.
He was sitting alone—the Blue Deacon was nowhere to be seen.
Tang Yue motioned for Song Jie to lean in.
He moved closer until their faces were almost touching.
"If we take action later, be careful," Tang Yue whispered.
"Understood."
Tang Yue's heart was pounding. They were about to face a Blue Deacon, one of the Black Vatican's most dangerous figures.
Just then, Mu Yuang suddenly turned his head—looking straight in their direction!
Song Jie and Tang Yue froze!
Realizing Mu Yuang might recognize him, Song Jie immediately turned toward Tang Yue and leaned forward.
Tang Yue, startled, also turned her head—and Song Jie's face appeared right in front of hers.
Their lips collided!
Tang Yue's eyes widened in shock, but she didn't push him away. She knew one wrong move could expose them!
Luckily, Mu Yuang couldn't see Song Jie's face—it was blocked by Tang Yue.
Seeing what looked like a couple sharing an intimate moment, Mu Yuang turned away, uninterested.
Tang Yue's lips were softer and far more mature than Mu Nujiao's or Ai Tutu's—hers carried a womanly allure.
After a brief moment, Tang Yue quickly shoved Song Jie away, her expression stormy, fists clenched.
"Teacher Tang Yue, that was just to avoid being discovered," Song Jie explained quickly.
"You expect me to believe that?" Tang Yue narrowed her eyes, her voice dangerously low.
"I'm serious! That man knows me—I met him back in Bo City. If he saw my face, he'd recognize me instantly," Song Jie said.
Tang Yue blinked. "He knows you?"
"Yeah. If you don't believe me, ask Mo Fan—he can confirm it."
Tang Yue still looked irritated.
"Alright then," Song Jie said shamelessly, "why don't I let you kiss me back? Then we'll be even."
"Still trying to take advantage of me, huh?" Tang Yue stomped on his foot hard beneath the table.
"Hiss—!" Song Jie sucked in a breath of pain.
"Keep it down!" Tang Yue whispered, her eyes betraying a faint, amused glimmer.
So ruthless!
I'll get you back for that…
Song Jie gritted his teeth as the pain slowly faded.
They kept watching Mu Yuang for a while, but he didn't seem to meet anyone.
"The Black Vatican members are too cautious. He's still waiting," Tang Yue muttered.
Song Jie nodded.
Just then, Mu Yuang stood up and headed toward the restroom.
"Should we follow?" Song Jie asked.
"Follow."
They both got up and quietly tailed him.
When Mu Yuang entered the men's restroom, they stopped.
Tang Yue frowned—she couldn't enter.
"He knows me. If I go in, he'll recognize me," Song Jie said.
Tang Yue hesitated, unsure of what to do.
"I have a plan," Song Jie said, summoning Xiao Hei Mao—the Little Black Cat.
"Let him go in."
Tang Yue nodded reluctantly.
The Little Black Cat pretended to be a stray and walked into the restroom.
"Let's wait here," Song Jie said.
