Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 — The Crimson Princess’s Exile

"Rias Gremory, please come with us without resistance."

"What—? No! I don't want to!"

Venelana lowered her gaze. "I'm sorry, Rias."

"Hey! Help me—!" Rias tried to move, but suddenly her vision began to blur.

"Eh… I feel dizzy…"

Her heart skipped a beat as realization struck. "No way…! The tea…!"

Her body collapsed onto the floor, unconscious.

"Take her away," Zeoticus ordered, his voice trembling.

His fists shook violently. He clenched them so hard that his own blood began to drip between his fingers.

The demons of the council did not hesitate. They took the crimson-haired princess to the human world—specifically, to Japan.

Inside the Gremory mansion, the air grew heavy with despair. Despite her arrogance, Rias was still their beloved daughter, their pride.

Sirzechs sat in silence. Deep inside, he considered killing the old council members. But that would be foolish. Reckless. Such an act would throw the entire Underworld into chaos.

The elders were pillars of demon society. If word spread that the Devil King had murdered them over a disagreement, trust in his rule would shatter. A kingdom ruled by fear soon falls into rebellion. No one wants a tyrant.

Besides, many of those old demons were high-class, some even of supreme rank. A battle against them would be long and bloody. The already weakened Underworld could not afford another war.

Meanwhile, far away in the human world, Rias stirred from her forced slumber. A glowing screen appeared before her eyes.

Hours later—

"Damn it… where am I?" Rias muttered as she woke up in the middle of an open field, the wind tugging at her crimson hair.

"Where is this place? I guess I'll just have to adap—"

Boom!

A massive explosion cut her off. She dodged instinctively, the ground erupting where she had just stood.

"Who's there!?" she shouted.

A male voice answered, calm and mocking. "Hmm… didn't finish you off in one hit. Seems you have some skills."

Floating in the air before her was a fallen angel with ten dark wings.

"A fallen angel, huh? What do you want with me? Why attack me—do you have a death wish?"

"Oh, the arrogance… just as the rumors said—"

"Cleave."

The air screamed. A crimson slash ripped forward, detonating in a violent explosion of dust and light.

"That was… way too close," the fallen angel muttered, cold sweat sliding down his face.

"I didn't think you'd be this strong at your age. I may have underestimated you… but fortunately, we came prepared."

Suddenly, countless teleportation circles appeared around them.

Rias narrowed her eyes. "So my head's got a high bounty, huh?"

"Exactly," said a new voice.

A man in white robes stepped forward, holding a gleaming holy sword.

"Excalibur Blessed," Rias murmured, recognizing it instantly.

Another priest appeared beside him, his weapon barely visible to the naked eye.

"Excalibur Invisible…" She smirked. "An entire army with capable generals. I'm flattered."

"Today will be your death, Rias Gremory!" the first priest shouted, swinging his blade.

A burst of light shot from his sword, striking Rias squarely in the chest.

"Ghh—!" She gasped, but her eyes remained defiant. "I see… you've weakened me. But this is far from enough."

Raising one hand, she summoned a dense wave of destructive power and fired it straight at them.

"Only destruction can stop destruction," came another voice.

A second crimson sphere collided with hers, shaking the very air.

"So… even demons are in on this," Rias hissed.

"Indeed," replied a tall man with dark hair and cold blue eyes. "My name is Zactus Bael. I'm the one assigned to stop your power of destruction."

Rias began to laugh. First softly… then louder, until her laughter echoed across the battlefield.

"Stop me? Oh, you've greatly underestimated me!"

The fallen angel hesitated. "What is she—"

He never finished.

Balam!

His body exploded into countless fragments, raining blood across the field.

The others froze in horror.

"The only reason he dodged my cut earlier," Rias said with a calm smile, "was because I allowed him to."

"Attack!" one of the priests ordered.

Several rushed forward. The wielder of Excalibur Invisible vanished instantly.

Rias sneered. "If you think disappearing will save you, you're wrong. I only need to destroy everything around me!"

A massive wave of crimson energy erupted outward. Countless invisible slashes swept the field like a storm of pure destruction.

The priests closest to her were disintegrated instantly. Farther away, the wielder of the invisible sword reappeared, screaming.

"My arm! Aghhh! I only survived by pure instinct—!"

He grinned madly. "But this will be enough."

Rias frowned. "What—?"

Before she could react, golden letters formed around her. Chains of divine magic burst forth, wrapping tightly around her body.

"This is—"

"A sealing spell," the priest explained. "The Church possesses the most powerful seals in existence. This one will keep you restrained for a while."

"Attack!" Zactus commanded.

Fallen angels hurled spears of light. Demons unleashed their spells. The priests reinforced the seal.

Rias screamed as waves of energy struck her all at once.

"My… magic is sealed… I can't use… the Power of Destruction…"

"Use the Excaliburs," the priest ordered. "End this before she recovers."

Rias lowered her head, trembling in pain. "Damn it…"

Darkness began to swallow her again.
