After some more discussions with his guild members and the strategy team about future plans, Lucas left for the C-rank gate.
He soon arrived at the gate that gave of strong mana waves.
There were a lot of barricades around it with association members guarding it.
Every association member in Zurich already knew of Lucas, so it was easy getting in.
It didn't take long for him to enter with Grishna and Krasbert by his sides.
As soon as he spawned in a forest he summoned Ghost.
Ghost has already told him before that the forest was very small and surrounded the orc village.
The plan was to first look for the orc hunters that were outside the village.
It didn't take them long to find a couple of orcs.
They moved in teams of two while hunting.

'A normal C-rank monster here is just as strong as a C-rank boss monster in a D-rank gate.'
'Looks like rank really is the biggest factor with monsters. But boss monsters give rewards when killed and probably more experience points.'
Lucas decided to kill these two by himself.
His stats and skills were superior so he was confident.
He was hiding in a bush behind them.
Lucas shot a fireball at the orc on the left and charged at the one on the right with his sword.
The left ones head was burnt to a crisp and he died after a few seconds of agony.
Lucas swiftly swung his sword with both his hands and beheaded the orc that was just turning to look at him.

'Damn!'
'To think just one normal monster here gives almost 10 times the anount of a D-rank monster.'
'Though still less than a C-rank boss monster.'
'It doesn't matter though since there are many of them here.'
"Alright. Grishna and Ghost move on your own to hunt orcs outside the village. Krasbert and I will do the same."
'Krasbert is sadly too weak to handle C-ranks by himself.'
Krasbert had a frustrated expression on his face.
'I need to grow stronger or else I will no longer be useful to master!'
Krasbert was still E-rank, but he was stronger than a D-rank monster.
His potential was C-rank, but for Lucas it was smarter to summon stronger avatars at the moment.

After less than 30 minutes they hunted every orc outside the village, wich was 20.
Krasbert barely managed to kill two with ambushes and struggle.
Lucas killed another 5.
Grishna killed 4 and Ghost easily killed 7.
After meeting up they started discussing how to infiltrate the orc village.
They could wait for nightfall, but the orcs would soon realize that their hunters aren't returning.
So they had to attack soon.
"Grishna, shoot the two guards at the entrance and then retreat."
"They will send out scouts to find out who killed them and we will ambush them."
"After that they will start sending higher numbers, but in the meantime Ghost will aim for their boss."
"Does everyone understand?"
"Yes master!"
They quickly went into action.
Grishna killed two orcs with mana imbued arrows with a headshot and retreated.
The orc near the entrance started yelling and called for the others.
After some heated discussions among them in their own language, they sent out a team of 5 orcs.
The group of over 7 feet tall green and muscular monsters with big axes were running through the forest.
Suddenly an arrow pierced one's head and another two heads separated from their bodies.
Grishna and Ghost were quickly eliminating them and in less than a minute the team of 5 orcs were dead.
'Even though they were higher leveled than the hunters before, it didn't make a difference.' Lucas thought.
After waiting for another 15 minutes the orcs got impatient and they reported to their chief what happened.
The chief was infuriated.
He spoke in orc language.
"20 of our tribes best warriors will find the cowards who did this and bring me their heads!!"
The orcs started yelling and rushed out.
"WAAAGH!"
"ROOOAAAARRR!!!"
The team of orcs who were all near level 30 were soon attacked by arrows and decapitated by daggers they never saw coming.
They couldn't even fight back because they couldn't see their attackers.
Soon only a few were left and Lucas and Krasbert also joined the fight to finish them.
Ghost leveled up and reached level 14 while Grishna was close to reaching level 15.
"Okay Ghost, go infiltrate their village and kill the boss, but don't destroy the gate core yet."
"Understood master."
Ghost departed immediately.
Meanwhile inside the village there was a large commotion.
"Chief why aren't they back yet?"
"Shut up!"
The orc chief was extremely enraged.
There were around 80 orcs left alive in the village.
"Alright, 50 of you go out and kill anything you encounter!"
"The rest will stay here with me and wait."
"Yes chief!"
Meanwhile Lucas and the others were creating distance to buy Ghost some time.
Even they couldn't handle 50 orcs, especially without Ghost.
The large orc group was on the move and Ghost was entering the village right now.
The orc chief was in the middle of the village with around 30 orcs.
Ghost was currently in a shadow not too far from his target.
'I can sense that we are somewhat even when it comes to combat power, but with shadow step I am confident that killing him will be easy.'
'I just have to make it quick and make sure my attack kills him instantly.'
Ghost jumped from shadow to shadow until he was in the chief's shadow.
'It's time!'
Ghost came out of the shadow and thrusted his dagger right into the chiefs neck and pushed it upwards into his skull.
The orc chief widened his eyes in shock.
Blood trickled from his eyes, nose and mouth.
He trembled for a few seconds before falling to the ground.
Ghost was standing over him with an emotionless expression in his black robe and mask that covered his mouth and nose, but not his golden eyes.
