Chapter 44 - The Void's Confrontation

There was a long silence between Michael and Tristan as he let out a sigh.

Tristan: What was that sigh hm Michael? Are you worried about Miya?

He says with a mocking tone while keeping up his smirk. Deep inside of Michael, he wanted to destroy Tristan. His presence was full of malice.

Michael: Why do you care?

Tristan: You're not capable of love, what you are good at is destroying, just like I am. I don't believe in the concept of love, so why bother with it?

He chuckled as Michael flinched in annoyance. He stuck out his hand then a bright yellow-ish glow occurred, summoning out an archangelic blade. Tristan notices the blade and could feel the divine energy coming from it against his nonexistent skin.

Tristan: What can that blade do hm?

Michael: archangelic blades are meant to destroy the concept of evil from one of another before erasing the very soul of that being through any means.

Tristan: Erase the concept of evil, soul, body and mind by any means? So regardless of immortality, that wouldn't exist, even if I am made out of nothing and is nothing, or does it have that range of attack? So troublesome...

Michael: You done thinking about my blade? If so, then let's get this over with.

Tristan's smirk had faltered and was in a state of panic as he got ready. Sweat drips from his face as Michael charged towards him, then swung his blade, but Tristan dodged it, but was left a deep graze.

Tristan: Damn!

He tried to regenerate, but nothing happened. He was bleeding out as Michael flew towards him and kicked him hard enough to even exit reality. Tristan was then sent outside of reality as he slumped over holding his stomach.

Tristan: That kick... it has no affect on me due to lacking physicality and conceptuality, but Michael kicks so damn hard!

Michael reappeared in front of him few feet's away as he held his archangelic blade. The magic from the blade had emitted out a divine glow.

Tristan: Of course this is our first meeting, so I'm not completely sure what kind of abilities he has in his damn arsenal, so I need to start worrying about it...

Michael: Let's try erasing you completely...

Michael had then flew towards Tristan, and had used his hand to decapitate him, and that impact of the attack had erased the concept of living and nonliving from him.

Tristan's entire existence blew up due to being overwritten by divinity, but yet, he started regenerating from that attack.

Michael: Damn... so erasing his entire concept doesn't even work on this guy. He's built on pure destruction and nothing.. my blade was able to stop his regeneration, so I need to land a hit...

Tristan had touched his neck with his hand as they float on nothing. Everything around them is just nothing besides the one thing that's holding all different paths of realities. It was existence itself.

Tristan's body was adapting to his attacks. When Michael then swung his archangelic blade, a large, dense and quick wind was sent towards him, but he was able to dodge it.

Tristan: Fast, but not fast enough to hit me. From what I'm thinking... that could have destroyed something if it was hit. Although the speed, was moving so far beyond the concept of space and time and distance...

He was mid thought until something blew up behind him. It was one of the mathematical sets and one of the foundations of all creation. His eyes widened and looked back at Michael.

Tristan: First you sent me out here where no parallel reality truly exist, but you also destroyed one of infinite amounts of the foundation of all creations. You do realize you are destroying something that is holding hierarchical sets of realities?

Michael snapped his fingers rebuilding it all in a matter of 0.1 seconds.

Michael: I'll do whatever I can to destroy you, Tristan Granbell..

Michael's voice had became cold and almost detached. Tristan glanced at him and he chuckled as his confidence is coming back to him.

Tristan: come on then.. let's see you tr—

Michael had swung his archangelic blade again horizontally which he was able to avoid, but he got left a deep cut on his torso. Tristan glanced down as his body was slowly breaking down regardless of how nothing he is.

Another mathematical set had been destroyed, collapsing not only that, but also the hierarchical sets of realities within it, which are parallel to each other.

Those weren't normal sets of reality. They were only a small part of creation that builds it all up. The sets of reality below the others are just fictional.

Michael: Those mathematical sets were just forms of large bubbles. These boundless bubbles, like you said, holds sets of realities, but you haven't realized, they're constructs unbounded by everything and all things.

Tristan was shook. He felt shivers down his spine, but that was when Michael had grabbed him by the neck, then tossed him even higher. He flew high enough to even exit that empty space, and one thing that he sees underneath him, was just a book and pen next to it.

Tristan: Wait... that wasn't the limit? Are you telling me everything that had happened from start to finish... is part of this book?

Michael: Yeah... everything that leads up to this current event is in this book. No one rules over it. It's currently writing what we're doing now and everything in the future by itself.

Tristan glanced down at the book, seeing the pen is just moving by itself writing all events the current events now to the futures. Everything were formatted into prologues, chapters, interludes and epilogues.

This was known as the Narrative Space. It was a space that holds this book, from the beginning of all creation to Miya's reincarnation was just the prologue of this story. Tristan was in shock about this. The book continued writing everything that is for the future.

Tristan: This book... it goes on infinitely, does it...?

Michael nodded, confirming everything that the book is doing.

Michael: To make it worse... this was just part one of the book. The book you see is indestructible, everlasting, and all knowing. Of course the plot can change from time to time, but it doesn't get blockage. It just keeps going.

Tristan was paralyzed in shock as they float in the Narrative Space. It extends infinitely, nothing exists outside of it. It's truly a boundless item that writes and exists.

During that timespan, Miya was too busy fighting the Dragon of Death, going through multiple dimensions and higher realms. She had adapted to all the attacks whether it was conceptual or not. She was battered in bruises and dust before, but now she was perfectly fine.

The Dragon of Death landed back into the Hollow Land with Miya.

Miya: At the start of this fight, you were throwing me around like a ragdoll, but now, you're getting your tail handed to you, how do you feel?

Dragon of Death breathed heavily on the floor all bloodied up. The scales of the body had been ripped off completely from its body as it roars loudly.

That was when Tristan flew down into the snow biome of the Hollow Land as Michael followed behind. A large snow clouds builds up around them as Miya and the Dragon of Death glanced over at them.

Tristan: Fuck... shit hurts like hell.

His voice was heard as he laid on the snow, bleeding from Michael's attacks with his archangelic blades.

Tristan: You, Lucifer, and Michael... will see me soon! And I will fight you Miya, one day...

Michael glanced at him with a cold expression as Tristan teleports away with his pet, the Dragon of Death, back into his dimension.

Michael sighed and glanced at Miya with a concerning expression and hugged her. His eyes filled with worry as she hugged back with a decently tight grip.

Michael: I missed you, Miya Katagari.

Miya: I missed ya too bud.

She chuckled as they both continued to hug each other. They break the hug as Michael smiled.

Michael: Let's head back to Heaven, we need a break.

Miya nodded as Michael and Miya teleported back to Heaven. They had entered through the pearly gates of Heaven, then noticed the other Morningstar's.

Azrael: Hey Miya. I'm glad you're okay.

Miya: Thank you.

The other Morningstar's walked off to do their own duties while Azrael and Michael stayed back.

Azrael: So... Miya. I got a question for ya.

Miya: What is it?

Azrael: Are you perhaps in love with Michael?

Miya was a bit surprised about the sudden question he asked as she was a bit hesitant about it. She had no idea how to answer.

Miya: I mean... he's cute.

Azrael: I'll take that as a yes!

Miya got flustered and bright red on the cheeks as Michael also blushed. That sudden response had shocked them as Azrael walked away with a smile. They had no idea how to respond, and stayed in shock, while in awkward silence, processing everything.
