Chapter 201 - Chapter 201: Ghost's whereabouts remain a mystery? Daredevil: In my background music, no one can be invisible!

After confirming that Connors was in the car, William also drove the Audi steadily out of the industrial park.

Super Self-Healing (Elementary).

This ability was practically tailor-made for him.

As a risk consultant walking a tightrope, his clients were either superheroes or supervillains.

God knew when he might be grazed by the aftermath of a battle.

With this, at least he could ensure he wouldn't be taken out prematurely by a minor injury.

Dr. Lizard's crisis was temporarily suppressed by a "luxury research package" from Stark Industries.

But the Kingpin's dinner was more troublesome than an out-of-control Dr. Lizard.

It was like a countdown hanging over his head.

Every minute and every second reminded him that the God of Death was sharpening his scythe.

Jessica's addition gave him a physical shield.

Matt's intelligence support kept him from being completely in the dark.

The newly acquired "Toxin Resistance" and "Super Self-Healing" greatly enhanced his survival ability.

But all of this was merely passive defense.

Against an opponent of Wilson Fisk's caliber, merely being able to withstand hits was far from enough.

You must have the ability to flip the table.

Or... the ability to calmly leave when the table is flipped.

The "Ghost" in Tandy's report became the key to breaking his predicament.

Phasing through walls.

This almost unsolvable ability was simply the nightmare of all physical defenses.

If he could get his hands on it.

The Kingpin's dinner would turn from a banquet of ill intent into a buffet for him.

Come when he wanted, leave when he wanted... just phase through the wall and go.

The problem was.

How to find a ghost that could phase through walls and was elusive?

William's brain was working at top speed.

He parked the car by the roadside, his fingers tapping lightly on the steering wheel.

Conventional methods certainly wouldn't work.

Police, private investigators, in the face of the concept of "phasing through walls," were no different from primitive people.

But he had a cheat.

A living one.

A breathing one.

A super humanoid radar covering all of New York.

He picked up his phone and found Matt Murdock's number.

But after thinking about it, William put it down again.

This kind of thing couldn't be explained clearly over the phone.

And it was easy to arouse unnecessary suspicion.

He needed to state his needs in person, using the most professional attitude to package the most outrageous request.

He restarted the car, turned the steering wheel, and drove straight towards Hell's Kitchen... The sign of "Nelson and Murdock Law Office" looked old and dilapidated in the afternoon sun.

Pushing open the creaking glass door.

A sense of despair washed over him.

Foggy Nelson looked like he had been buried alive.

He was sprawled on the desk, drowned by a mountain of case files with only his head visible.

He saw William enter and weakly raised his hand.

"William, looking for Matt? He's not in a good mood today, just lost a slam-dunk case because the key witness was... 'persuaded'."

Foggy's tone was full of helplessness towards the dark side of this World.

Yes, Foggy Nelson clearly knew everything about Daredevil.

"I have some serious business with him."

William showed a professional smile.

"Regarding a new insurance business consultation."

"Insurance?"

Foggy perked up a bit.

"For our office? This dilapidated place of ours, what it needs most is 'gang boss anger accidental insurance'."

"There will be a chance, Foggy."

William smiled and walked towards Matt's office.

Lawyer Matt was standing by the window.

He was wearing a White shirt.

His sleeves were rolled up to his elbows, revealing his strong forearms.

He was like a silent sculpture "listening" to the ceaseless clamor of Hell's Kitchen outside the window.

"You're here."

Matt didn't turn around, his voice a little low.

"I need your help, Matt."

William got straight to the point, pulling up a chair and sitting down.

His movements were smooth and natural.

"This time, it's a paid consultation."

Matt turned around, his handsome face showing no expression, but William could feel that the "focus" of the other person's entire World had completely centered on him.

"I have an anonymous corporate client."

William's performance began.

"Their R&D department and financial database have suffered several unexplained intrusions over the past few months."

"No physical damage, no traces of cyber-attacks."

"Priceless data and prototypes just vanished into thin air."

He paused, carefully observing Matt's reaction.

"It's like a ghost, ignoring their security system built at a cost of tens of millions of U.S. dollars, phasing directly through walls, and taking what they wanted."

"Phasing through walls?"

"Yes."

William nodded slightly and said, "This is a completely new mode of crime, a... absolute threat that transcends existing security logic."

"My client hopes I can assess this risk and provide solutions. But to assess the risk, I first need to find the source of the risk."

He gazed at Matt, his eyes burning.

"I'm not asking you to catch criminals, Matt. I need your 'senses'."

"I need you to help me 'listen'."

"Listen for any unusual 'noise' in this city."

"A person who can phase through walls, his existence, his ability, on a physical level, cannot be completely silent."

"In your World, he will definitely leave a trace."

"Some unique frequency, some subtle fluctuation of energy, or even... the silent wail emitted when physical rules are forcibly twisted."

He didn't mention justice, he didn't mention evil.

This was requesting a top-tier consultant, not commissioning a street hero.

Matt fell silent.

He slowly closed his eyes.

The office instantly became eerily quiet, with only the distant traffic and sirens outside the window forming the background sound of Hell's Kitchen.

William knew that Matt's "radar" had been activated.

The countless millions of sounds in the entire New York City at this moment turned into a data torrent, pouring into his mind.

Being subjected to frantic screening and analysis by that super brain.

Time passed minute by minute.

William could even clearly hear Matt's heartbeat, steady and powerful, but the frequency was continuously accelerating.

What kind of terrifying computation was being performed.

"Brooklyn."

After a long while.

Lawyer Matt finally spoke.

His voice was a little dry, as if he had just finished a mental marathon.

"The Dumbo area of Brooklyn, near the Manhattan Bridge, that area gathers a large number of emerging technology companies and server centers of financial institutions."

He paused, seemingly trying to distinguish that faint, irregular anomaly.

"There... there's a very weak and irregular infrasound vibration."

"It's more like... the air itself, at a certain point, experiencing a brief, unstable resonance."

Found it!

This was the answer he wanted!

An incredibly precise range!

A god-tier clue that only Daredevil could provide!

"Thank you, Matt."

William immediately took out his phone, his fingertips quickly performing a few operations.

"This is the consultation fee for this time."

Matt's phone emitted a slight notification sound.

He once again "looked" at William, his unseen eyes seemingly hiding deep doubts.

"This isn't ordinary business consultation, William. You're chasing something you completely don't understand."

"This ability... behind it, might be connected to deeper secrets."

"I know."

William stood up, tidied his suit, his posture calm.

"My job is to turn unknown risks into known insurance policies."

He walked to the door.

His hand on the doorknob, he looked back at Matt and showed a confident, almost arrogant smile.

"Don't worry, I'm a professional."

"Once I sign this 'Quantum Phasing Accidental Protection Agreement', maybe I can even give your law office a discount."

With that, he pulled open the door and quickly left the small office under Foggy's curious gaze.

Matt still stood by the window, he "listened" to William's footsteps fading away.

Listening to him start his car and merge into traffic.

Finally disappearing into the city's clamor.

The intermittent, ominous "resonance" in Brooklyn made him feel an unease stemming from a hunter's instinct.

"Foggy."

He suddenly spoke.

"Huh? What's wrong, buddy?"

Foggy looked up from his pile of files, his face full of confusion.

Matt didn't answer, just whispered to himself:

"Tonight, I might have to work overtime."
