Chapter 14: Bizarre Situation
"So what I meant by a mistake was me overlooking the fact that it could be a 2v1 situation for Sapna."Sahil explained to Irfan.
Irfan paused for a second and said, "But my Guardian is saying that it would be impossible for the mind controller to control so many zombies and fight at the same time, at most Sapna would have to fight only Rana who is being controlled."
"That would have been true But now things have changed." , Sahil said.
Irfan having realised something said, "Shit! Because we killed the zombies…"
"Yeah that's exactly the oversight I made. I never thought of Sumit finishing them off within 5 minutes." Sahil said with a grave tone.
BOOOMMMM!!
Ad they were running towards their destination, they heard a loud explosion and as result increased their pace.
"By the way what level are you at now?" Sahil asked.
"Level 3 but I feel like breaking through very soon." Irfan said.
"Same here. It sucks that we cannot increase our stats like a rpg game." Sahil lamented.
Judging from their conversation it could be seen that they do not get free attribute points to allocate to their stats.
"We are here." Sahil said.
"What the…." The sight Irfan saw made his mouth remain open with shock.
The space in front of him was covered with greenery.
At the far end was a huge flower that was releasing something like dust into the air.
It was about about 300m far from their position. About 50 m area in front of their position was covered with zombie corpses that had their heads sliced off cleanly.
But before they could look for the other three that were here before them…
[CAREFUL!! ON YOUR RIGHT!]

Simultaneously warning echoed in their minds by their guardians.
Without thinking anything they just jumped backwards with all their strength.
And it was the best decision because at that very moment…
SWISH!!
A vine launched itself towards their position from a bush on their right.
CRACK!
The momentum was so strong that it made the asphalt crack upon impact.
"That would have surely impaled us both" Irfan said with his voice shaking.
BOOOMMMM!
There was an explosion again and the area about 150 in front of them was cleared revealing a figure standing there.
From far it looked to be a human male no more than 20 year in age.
But what made him look like a warrior from myths was a oversized axe that he was holding with both of his hands.
"Sumit Sir…?"
3 MINUTES AGO…
Leaving the duo behind Sumit was able to reach the destination in an instant.
"Sapna! Wait!" ,he immediately called out to Sapna after spotting her going after Rana.
Sapna stopped in her tracks and looked back, "Huh, Why are you here? Did you already defeat the zombies?" she asked Sumit.
"Yes we did" , Sumit said as he looked beyond Sapna and Rana towards a grotesque flower that appeared to be releasing some dust into the air.
It looked a lot like Rafflesia flower he had seen before in school textbooks.
Rana seemed to be slowly walking towards the flower.
"There is no zombie here."Sapna told Sumit.
"Huh..What?" Sumit was a little dazed and did not hear her completely.
Seeing this Sapna facepalmed herself.
"You were dazed too right?" she asked him.
"Yeah.. though it was not strong but I felt an urge to keep looking at the flower forever." Sumit replied.
"It was the same for me, had it not been for the explosions that were coming from your side battles all this time, I would have been completely controlled just like Rana." Sapna said.
"If so, then why is Rana not awake yet?" Sumit asked.
Sapna rolled her eyes at Sumit and said, "How would I know?"
"Whatever, let's just destroy the flower first." Sumit said.
"Yeah sure.. Wait a second." Sapna stopped herself.
Looking at her she seemed to be talking to her Guardian.
[Host you really do have a simple brain.]
"Hey what do you mean by that?" Sumit raised up his caution while asking the system.
Whenever the made sarcastic remarks , the result was usually not good for Sumit.
His instincts was true right now as in that very moment…
Sapna's eyes widened and she screamed
"WE NEED TO GET OUT RIGHT NOW!!!"
Within a moment Sumit abandoned all thought and picked up Sapna prepared to rush backwards.
But something changed in that very moment.
Rana who was walking towards the flower suddenly stopped and his head twisted 180 degrees to look towards the escaping duo. He slowly raised his hand….
NO! He raised his hand very fast as from his POV he could see the duo escaping at a snail's pace.
To Sumit nothing had changed in that moment as he was only focused on escaping, which he was sure would take less than 8 seconds with his current speed.
BOOM! CRACK! BOOM! CRACK!
In front of the astonished Sumit grass started to grow out of asphalt and out of the dormitory buildings vines started to pop out the surrounding trees suddenly started to grow taller.
"What the….?" Were the only words that could come out of his mouth as he was forced to stop in his tracks by the branches from the trees that now acted as a barrier.
Sure, he could try jumping but after his recent fight against the zombies he was not sure if getting vulnerable mid air would be a great idea.
With these thoughts in mind Sumit turned back to face Rana whose face was now disfigured as there were saplings growing out of it.
Sapna was horrified looking at the sight.
Even Sumit was disturbed looking at the saplings that were freshly popping out of Rana's skull splashing his brain matter everywhere.
The saplings twisted and turned to resemble a human like face.
And then..
They spoke
"GREETINGS HUMANS , I THE FIFTH GENERAL OF THE TREANT KINGDOM WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A MINUTE OF YOUR TIME… BEFORE I SLAUGHTER YOU."
With a bizarre expression on its face the creature spoke to Sumit.
