Chapter 13: Stamina Issue
They say that when a human is on verge of death, their life flashes before their eyes.
Some also claim that during a life or death situation time seems to slow down.
Hearing this for the first time, many dismiss it as just a superstition or accuse you of watching too many anime.
But currently Sumit was facing the same situation, at this moment he could clearly see the sickle arm heading for his mid section aiming to cleave him into two pieces.
"Screw all that life flashing before my eyes. I am not dying today!! System add all points to Agility!" Sumit roared.

With an increase in his agility Sumit found his thought process become clearer and within 0.1 seconds he was able to make the best move to minimize the damage.
CLANG!!
With his hammer he was able to completely block the sickle, but due to momentum and force he got flung away to distance.
As Sumit forced himself to minimize the impact he saw what remained of the hammer.
"Need a change of weapons now." Sumit said this and pulled out a cleaver from his backpack. He had picked up the cleaver from the kitchen, where it was used to chop meat.
Looking at the enemy in front of him, Sumit readied himself to make a move.
This time it was the zombie who charged towards Sumit, even though it was quite slower than before, it made use of the whip like arm to build up momentum for it's next attack.
Sumit responded equally by charging forward with the cleaver and at the same time they both attacked each other.
The zombie this time did an overhead attack on Sumit aiming to cut his skull.
While Sumit was aiming for the zombies arm itself.
BOOOOMMM!!
As the zombie bought down the sickle arm with all the momentum it was met with no resistance and crashed on the asphalt.
Sumit had successfully dodged it's attack and….
SLASH!
With a swift downward slash on the zombies arm…
SPURTTT!!
The zombie's arm separated from it's body and what followed it was a fountain of blood.
"Not over yet?! Here take another one!", saying this Sumit leapt up in air and reached the level of zombie's head. With a spin of his body he attacked it's head and…
SLASH! [CRITICAL HIT!!]
With the notification of a critical hit the zombie's head was cleaved as easily as a hot knife slashes through butter.

"Huff..huff…that took a lot of my stamina and energy, if I had not delivered ered the final blow quickly, I would have surely lost due to exhaustion." Sumit said while panting on the ground.
"Hey system do these zombies have unlimited stamina?" Sumit asked the system as he gulped down the potion.
[Host stamina only applies to something that is alive, these zombies are technically not alive but somewhere between the boundary of living and dead, so they do not get tired nor they can feel pain.] The system replied.
"What about this orb?" Sumit asked the system as he inspected an orange orb in his hand.
[That orb is similar to a mana attribute orb meaning that it is a … Wait! Host aren't you forgetting something?]
"What could be I possibly forgetting? Oh shitt!!" As Sumit realised what he had forgotten, he quickly got up and sprinted towards the direction of the zombie horde .
"I asked them to hold of the horde for 1 minute but now it's been 5 minutes already."
Although Sumit would not feel too bad if something happened to the trio, but considering that they got along pretty well, he would feel guilty if they died.
"Wait a second! Where is Rana?!" Sumit's eyes darted around to find Rana but he failed.
As Sumit got to the backlines of the horde, he could feel his heartbeat getting quicker. He was not scared a bit by the zombies in front of him.
SLASH!SLASH! SLASH!
With every SLASH by Sumit a zombie head flew in the sky.
"Sahil! Irfan! Sapna! Are you guys alright?!" Sumit shouted with his full strength.
"Yes sir, we are fine for now but we are slowly getting overwhelmed!!" in response to Sumit's shout came a desperate cry of help from Sahil.
Hearing the sound Sumit was finally able to locate them.
They were inside the college bus meant for visits and camps.
He could currently see them using sharp steel pipes to skewer the zombies through the windows.
Sumit quickly increased his pace of slashing and finally killed 40 zombies within a minute.
"Huff..Huff…system add 2 points to endurance."

His previous endurance was at 18 which became 20 after level up and now 22 so Sumit was feeling significantly less tired after the ordeal.
"Where are Sapna and Rana?" Sumit asked the boys.
"Sir we thought that the best course of action would be to let Sapna follow Rana as that would lead her to the illusion zombie." Irfan replied.
"Your thinking was right, but we need to move quickly now as Sapna might be in danger right now!" Sumit said with a concerned tone.
As if realising something Sahil's eyes widened as he said..
"Shit!, I did not account for that situation!" Sahil gasped.
"No time to waste now , tell me the direction." Sumit said.
"She went behind your dormitory." Irfan replied to his question.
"Follow me!" The duo could only hear his voice and by the time they had blinked Sumit was far away,
"Hey what did you not account for?", Irfan asked Sahil.
"Let's talk while moving." Sahil said and started running.
As they headed towards their destination the duo and Sumit did not know they were about to receive the biggest shock of their lives.
