(KRYSTAL'S POV)
The late morning sun is warm on my skin. My head is tipped back, sunglasses shielding my eyes, my arms draped lazily over the inflatable as I float around the pool in my bikini.
This is the first moment of real peace I've had in days, and I'm clinging to it like my life depends on it.
The only thing I hear is the gentle slosh of water against the pool ties until the sound of footsteps interrupt the quiet.
My body reacts before my brain does. I sit up just a little, pushing my sunglasses down my nose.
It's Raffaele.
He's walking toward the pool with nothing on but a black speedo, a bottle of wine in one hand and a glass in the other.
My eyes instantly betray me.
They track the slow roll of his shoulders. The way his chest flexes with each step. Down to his rock-hard abs. Then lower to the V-line, pointing like an arrow straight into the waistband of the speedo hugging dangerously low on his hips.
