As Ryoken accepted the quest, the area around him began to change. The ground began to shake and walls and bricks came out of the ground, forming an arena.
The arena was familiar to Ryoken, it was the same duel arena that was in anime, the one that showed flashbacks of Zarc dueling in it.
What started as a pure duelist who wanted to entertain others and make them smile, ended as a savage mad king whose idea of entertainment became pure violence.
In front of Ryoken stood a young man around the age eighteen, but rather than looking like the classic Zarc with silver and green hair, he appeared to look like an older version of Yuri.
"So you're the one that is challenging me... I expected more. Then again a vermin doesn't know what he's getting himself into."
"If I knew the mighty supreme king would start a conversation like that I would have thought of a response, but I let my dueling speak instead of me." Ryoken replied back as he raised his duel disk.
Zarc stared at him for a moment before activating his duel disk.
"You would have more chance of beating me in a fight than a duel. But fine since you asked for it I'll crush you nicely."

"I go first." Ryoken declared. If his opponent is Zarc, then he definitely needed to go first and set the field ready for him.
"I set a monster and 3 cards face down and end my turn."
Zarc sneered watching Ryoken's move "As expected of a vermin. Playing defensive right of the bat."

"I draw." As Zarc put his hand on his deck, the top card gave an ominous aura as he drew it.
'Dont tell me he's card printing right from the start..' Ryoken thought as he watched closely.

"Looks like your fate has already been decided. I summon my servant, Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm."
Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm 1800ATK/1200DEF
"Darkwurm's effect activates, when summoned I can add a Supreme King Gate monster from my deck to my hand. I add Supreme King Gate Zero."
'So he does have access to pendulum cards, then again he made it first.'
"Witness the power of the supreme king, mortal. I set the pendulum scale with scale 0 Supreme King Gate Zero and scale 13 Supreme King Gate Infinity."
As Zarc played the two cards mentioned, On hus left side a fiendish being shaped into zero appeared, whilst on his right another one in the shape of Infinity symbol.
"I doubt you would know what pendulum summoning is, so feel grateful for what this king is going to show you! With the scales set, I can special summon monsters from my hand from level 1 to 12!"
"Appear my servants! Supreme King Dragon Odd-Eyes and Supreme King Gate Magician!"

"Gate Magician's effect activates, when special summoned I can add one card that mentions (Supreme King Z-Arc) to my hand."
"Supreme King Gate Zero's pendulum effect, by destroying both cards in my Pendulum Zones, I can add 1 "Polymerization" Spell Card or "Fusion" Spell Card from my Deck to my hand. I destroy Gate Zero and Gate Infinity to add Polymerization to my hand."
Both the monsters that were beside him were destroyed and sent to his extra deck. as he was about to add Polymerization to his hand, Ryoken raised his hand to stop him.
"At this moment I activate my trap card, Solemn Strike. By paying 1500 life points, I can Negate the activation of your card's effect! I also activate my second set card to chain to it. Quick-play spell card Emergency Ration, by sending spell or trap cards I control to the graveyard I gain 1000 life points. I send itself a d Solemn Strike to gain 2000 life points."
Ryoken LP: 4000 + 2000 - 1500 -> 4500
Zarc scowled "So what, you only stopped me from adding a single card. Battle phase, Odd-eyes attacks your set card."
Odd-eyes blasted a dark ray of energy towards the set card on Ryoken's field, upon impact making a large clatter and dust.
As the dust disappeared, Ryoken was standing with a new card on his field.
Elemental Hero Stratos 1800ATK/300DEF
"When a monster I control is destroyed by battle, I can activate my trap card Hero signal. With it I can special summon another Level 4 or lower Hero monster from my deck. I special summoned Stratos in the defence position."
Ryoken explained to Zarc, making Zarc grit his teeth in annoyance that this vermin still stood proud against him.
"By the way, the card you destroyed was Elemental HERO Shadow Mist, when sent to the graveyard I can add yet another Hero monster from my deck to my hand. I add liquid soldier."
"Useless. Darkwurm, attack his monster!" Zarc ordered, which his card obliged and did as he said, sending stratos to the graveyard.
"Now you have nothing left to defend you! Gate Magician attack him directly!"
The magician raised his staff, a brilliant light shining from it as he did so before moving it towards Ryoken, hitting him and making him take a few steps back.
"I set a card face down and end my turn."
Turn 3

"My turn... I draw."
Ryoken gritted his teeth from pain as he drew the card. The damage he felt was really different from anything he experienced before. To make it worse, he didn't have the power of his spirits with him to help in this dimension.

"Before you do anything, I activate my trap card, Soul of the Supreme King! By paying half my life points I can Special summon Supreme King Z-Arc from my extra deck but its effects are negated!"
Zarc LP: 4000/2 -> 2000
"Hahahaha" Zarc laughed madly, his eyes glowing red brightly "You are done now Vermin, I summon myself, the supreme king who reigns over this world and shall destroy everything!"
The sky darkened as clouds gathered, lighting striking from them and destroying anything in their way. But that was nothing scary in front of what came next.
A dragon bigger than the whole Arena appeared and descended, a simple move of its wing was enough to make Ryoken Stumble and take a few step backs.
Supreme King Z-ARC 4000ATK/4000DEF
Nevertheless, Ryoken stood his ground and continued his turn.
"I summon Elemental Hero liquid soldier in attack position, when summoned I can special summon another Hero monster from my graveyard. Come back to my field Elemental Hero Stratos!"

"Now since Stratos is special summoned, I can activate his effect to add a Hero monster from my deck to my hand. I add Evil Hero Toxic Bubble to my hand."
"Evil hand Hero? how does that even work..." Zarc muttered to no one in particular.
"Next I activate Dark Fusion, With it I can fusion summon a fiend monster from my extra deck! I fuse Evil HERO Adusted Gold and Elemental Hero Neos!"
"Two Heros combine to create a Dark Hero! Rise, the Darkest Hero that world has witnessed! Fusion summon! Level 8, Evil Hero Darkest Knight!"
Evil Hero Darkest Knight 1600ATK/0DEF
"That's it? All that for this weak monster?" Zarc sneered as he ridiculed the new Hero.
"A Hero's power lays in their effect. Whilst Darkest Knight is on the field, monsters on my opponents field lose attack points equal to the combined attack points of the cards used to summon it."
"Adjusted Gold has 2100 attack points and Neos has 2500 attack points, meaning cards on your field lose 4600 attack points!"
"What!?"
Darkest Knight opened his wings, from it a dark aura emitting, making Zarc's monsters to get down on their knees as they lost all of their attack points.
Supreme King Z-Arc 4000 -> 0ATK
Supreme King Dragon Odd-Eyes 2500 -> 0ATK
Supreme King Gate Magician 2500 -> 0ATK
Darkwurm 1800 -> 0ATK
"Does my monster look weak and pathetic now, Zarc?" Ryoken said, mocking the supreme king in front of him.
If stares could kill anyone, Ryoken would be lying dead now from how Zarc was looking at him.
"I'm not done yet. I special summon Toxic bubble from my hand, and because there's an Evil Hero fusion monster on my field, I can draw 2 cards."
Evil Hero Toxic Bubble 800ATK/1200DEF
"I activate Dark contact, By returning monsters from my field, graveyard, banishment, or my hand to my deck I can fusion summon a Fiend monster from my extra deck. I return Neos from my graveyard and Toxic Bubble from my field to my deck to fusion summon!"
Neos came out of the graveyard and alongside Toxic bubble returned to Ryoken's deck.
"The power of Darkness bonds with Hero of the Neo space to Create a new Hero! Appear and rule over all Heros! Fusion summon! Level 10, Evil Hero Neos Lord!"
Neos appeared on the field with a new attire, giving him a dark yet noble aura.
Evil Hero Neos Lord 3000ATK/2500DEF
"I activate Neos Lord's effect. Once per turn I can choose a card on my opponents field and take control of it."
As those words left his mouth, Zarc felt like an ice bucket had dropped on him.
"Hey we ca-" He tried to talk with Ryoken but he just continued without a care.
"I choose your Supreme King Z-Arc. Oh also since it's now on my field, it regains the attack points it lost."
Supreme King Z-Arc 0 -> 4000 ATK
"..." Zarc could only stare at his ace card, himself who now was on Ryoken's field and couldn't help but feel as if he was cheating on himself.
"Now let's see, you got nothing in your hand, no helpful cards to use to block my attack either, so with that I'll end this duel. Supreme King Z-Arc, Attack Supreme King Odd eyes."
Zarc watched helplessly as he was being attacked by his own dragon form, cursing his opponent before the attack hit him and sent him crashing to the arena's wall.

Also a side note, obviously as I said before this is Zarc's fusion counterpart. Meaning that he doesn't have access to his full power, Synchro wnd xys cards. If he did he would have gone for a better move. But dont worry for next duel he will use a new deck which I wont give any spoilers.
