Most of this chapter will be focused on Mistress and Alexandria as they fight on the moon. You may ask, where is BB and the rest of them? Well, they were in the destroyed city of New Chicago. They made a few friends and made plenty of enemies. This is because they haven't gotten that much character development as the story has mostly been BB and Scott. Now, back to the show!
"We shouldn't have left BB. He could've helped."
The group was throwing a meeting to see what they were going to do about BB. Of course, they couldn't let a serial killer run free. Especially if he is one of the smartest people in the world.
"We should leave him there for a few days and tip off the police."
Sears was very defensive of BB. He saw him as a son of sorts. He saw all of them as his kids. Though, that disgusted him. He didn't want to be their father. He lost someone or more so someones who were very important to him. After that experience, he vowed to never have kids.
"I think we just let him get a cabin in Alaska and call it a night. We need to kill the moon people, not our sharpest tac."
Sears was right. BB had been dropped off a few hours later and he was joined by Sears, Scott, and Joey. They all had a single mission, to prepare the world for the arrival of the empire.
"I guess that means a girls' night?"
ODETTA responded to Mistress's remark with dead seriousness. Nothing was going according to her plan. BB had been invaluable to the group's escape from Backtown and none had figured out a secret about their escape besides Mistress who decided to not say anything about it. Dials let them escape. He only formed the army to keep BB from killing anyone.
"No. Get the suit on and walk the moon. There's a few men who are on guard. Alexandria should go on ahead and kill those on watch. She'll disable security and you can then enter and join the slaughter."
Mistress let out a long sigh before they eventually ended up going through with the plan. Alexandria went first.
"Saint George protect me. No, God protect me."
She was a catholic as was most in her time. She learned a little bit about the infinite vacuum but nothing could have prepared her for it.
"Don't worry. The only thing you have to worry about is the men with guns, and running out of air. I only loaded you up for a half hour."
"WHY?"
"Because if you want to be better, you must work well under pressure. Also, the air pressure is going to only get higher."
ODETTA was basically going to kill her if she didn't do what was asked of her.
"Do you see those men over there? With the white armor with yellow ascots?"
"Yes."
She was on the verge of hyperventilation and only had a dagger. All of her old group was dead. Now, she had a new one and she absolutely didn't trust this BB. She expected him to not be as nearly as cruel as her BB. That old one had cut people deep. Emotionally and physically.
"Kill them."
She took her small dagger and looked at it. The thing wasn't too sharp. It could probably cut through her suit, but her suit was made of cheap materials.
"Sneaky or brute force it?"
"Dealer's choice."
"What's a dealer?"
"Pick and choose."
"Brute force it."
She ran at them which isn't much when you consider how she was stuck in the space suit. She cut down one man before getting behind him and holding his corpse as a shield. She was taught that the joints were weak spots not only in fighters but their space suits.
"What are you doing? You're going to get shot! I meant brute force as in take them all out super fast. Not as a break in method."
"My brother, Edward, would disagree with you."
She cut through the suits whilst using a bit of gunplay that she picked up whilst working for Sears.
"Oh, you got in."
Mistress went into the open moon base to see a mountain of bodies that were cut down by a dagger or had been beaten with their comrades' corpse.
"Hey!"
Alexandria was happy as she walked around in her new red colored armor. Her partner was horrified.
"Hey."
"Do you have any issues?"
"Is that slang or something?"
"No. It's just, you're a monster. Look at all of this. It makes me think that you enjoy it."
Alexandria raised an eyebrow and tilted her head as if to get a new perspective on her partner in crime.
"My fair lady, I do enjoy it. I'm a lady of York. I live for my duties. What is asked of me, is what is received from me."
"If ODETTA asked you to kill me right now, would you do it?"
The assassin's eyes narrowed as she considered the question. It wasn't too hard to answer. She just wanted to put it in a way that Mistress would've been able to understand. Out of the entire group, Mistress was easily the one with the most empathy. Though, she was also the strongest. BB had been the smart one, Scott the wild card, Alexandria the fast one, Joey the strong one, Sears the fighter, and Mistress was the most human of them. She was horrified by the acts of the others. Especially after they left her on the island.
"We should finish the mission."
"Answer my question."
Both were ready to fight before the two were broken up by the intervention of ODETTA and Sears yelling over their comms.
"We need backup! There's so many! Did you even kill anybody?"
Alexandria found an opening. This was the chance to play on her emotions.
"We should get to it. If this place goes down, we save millions. Do you want billions to die because you don't like my methods? If you won't do it, I will."
The killer didn't up it from millions to billions by accident. She knew that her opponent would be thinking and decided to throw her off.
"Fine. But we need to work fast."
"Good."
The two went through the halls. Mistress made sure to make their deaths as simple and painless as possible. She ripped apart their cerebral cortexes in an instant and Alexandria on the other hand, she took chunks out of them at a time and finally killed them. Alexandria had a thought whilst they were working through the hallways. If I work like this, then how can I judge BB? He's a killer. You're a warrior. But he fought for you. I don't know.
"You two need to finish up. I'll be in there in a little bit to talk. But you two need to make it quick."
"Wait, you could have gotten us in there in the first place? Why didn't you just do that?"
"Simple, I needed a girlboss moment."
In the twenty twenties, ODETTA had recorded the group's adventures and turned them into movies so that way she could always have a place to stop for fuel. Now, she needed a girlboss scene and there were only two women. After nearly an hour, the two were tired and hungry. They still needed to save the guys back home. BB would want the group near him to ensure his revenge and to keep them safe from their own due dates. The two shut off power to the base before jumping through the glowing door to save the men.
