The suppressed anger within Yuui was something both the assassin and Alice could clearly feel. That fury was like a volcano on the verge of erupting—not yet detonating, but already spewing molten rage.
"I Normal Summon Elemental HERO Liquid Soldier, then activate his effect. When this card is Summoned, target 1 Level 4 or lower HERO monster in your Graveyard, except a monster with the same name as this card; Special Summon it.
"I Special Summon Vision HERO Vyon from my Graveyard!"

"Then Shadow Mist's effect activates: when this card is sent to the Graveyard, add 1 HERO monster with a different name from your Deck to your hand. I add Elemental HERO Stratos!"
Yuui drew the card, then continued: "Next, Vision HERO Vyon's other effect—once per turn, banish 1 HERO monster from your Graveyard; add 1 Polymerization from your Deck to your hand.
"I banish Shadow Mist and add Polymerization!"
"And then I—"
"Open Set card—Trap Card Present Card!" the assassin declared. "Your opponent discards their entire hand, then draws 5 cards."
Just as Yuui prepared to use Polymerization, the assassin flipped her last Set card.
Yuui lifted his gaze. In the assassin's crimson eyes flickered deep mockery.
"Polymerization and Elemental HERO Stratos must be important to you, right? Now—throw them into the Graveyard."
Yuui did not get angry. Instead, he calmly discarded all six cards in his hand, then drew five new cards. Alice also discarded her hand and drew five.
To Yuui, the assassin's Present Card was meant to disrupt his momentum—but to her, it was truly a "gift."
"Not done yet!" the assassin continued as they drew. "Open Set card—Quick-Play Spell Hand Destruction! Both players discard 2 cards from their hands, then draw 2 cards.
"Now—discard again!"
Yuui and Alice complied, though in truth, this only helped them fill their Graveyards faster.
On the other hand, the assassin glanced at the two new cards she drew and gave a cold laugh.
"The effects of Snoww, Unlight of Dark World and Parl, Hermit of Dark World—both discarded just now—activate simultaneously.
"First, Snoww: when this card is discarded to the Graveyard by a card effect, add 1 Dark World card from your Deck to your hand.
"Then Parl: when this card is discarded to the Graveyard by a card effect, target 1 Dark World monster in your Graveyard except itself; Special Summon it to either field. Once again, I target Ceruli, Guru of Dark World—and Special Summon it onto your field!"
The hunched, grotesque Dark World mentor appeared again—but this time on Yuui's field.

"Next, Snoww's effect—I add Broww, Huntsman of Dark World!"
"And now Ceruli's effect activates," the assassin continued. "When this card is Special Summoned by a Dark World effect, your opponent chooses 1 card from their hand to discard. Since you control this monster—I can discard one of my cards instead."
She discarded Broww and added sharply:
"When Broww, Huntsman of Dark World is discarded by a card effect, draw 1 card. If it was discarded by an opponent's effect, draw 2 instead."
After a string of draws, the assassin suddenly had five cards in her hand.
Yuui merely watched her draw without interrupting. Only after she finished did he draw a card himself.
"I activate the Spell Card O - Oversoul. Target 1 Normal Elemental HERO monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it.
"I Special Summon Elemental HERO Neos!"

"Then I activate Fusion Substitute. Send Fusion Materials listed on a Fusion Monster from your field to the Graveyard; Fusion Summon that monster from the Extra Deck.
"I send Neos and Vyon from my field to the Graveyard—Fusion Summon!"
Yuui's crimson eyes glowed. He raised his hand and declared:
"Fusion materials: Elemental HERO Neos + 1 Level 4 or lower Effect Monster.
"Warrior from the 'Neo Space'! Reveal your potential now—Fusion Summon!
"Appear—Elemental HERO Brave Neos!!"
Radiant white light burst forth as Neos evolved into his empowered form.

"Next is the effect of a card in my hand—Odd-Eyes Wizard Dragon!" Yuui revealed a card no one present had ever seen or even heard of. "If this card is in your hand: Tribute 1 DARK monster you control; send 1 Odd-Eyes Dragon from your hand, Deck, or face-up on the field to the Graveyard; Special Summon this card."
"I choose to send Ceruli, Guru of Dark World on my field to the Graveyard, then send Odd-Eyes Dragon from my Deck to the Graveyard, and Special Summon the dragon who commands magus power—Odd-Eyes Wizard Dragon!!"
"Odd-Eyes Wizard Dragon!? What is that?"
Under the confused gazes of the assassin and Alice, a magic circle of red and green light appeared beneath Ceruli's feet. A moment later, a beam of violet magical energy swallowed him whole.
Then, from that blazing stream of magic, a black streak of light mixed with red and green burst forth, letting out a piercing roar.
It was a bizarre giant dragon with heterochromatic eyes. Metallic wings shaped like a magician's mantle extended from its back, and embedded in its wings, its armor, and its chest were four differently colored orbs—red, green, purple, and blue—each radiating a distinct power.

"Odd-Eyes? A series I've never even heard of, and it has multiple evolution forms… so this is that guy's power?" Alice thought as she stared at the strange dragon.
But the assassin suddenly let out a cold laugh. "I don't know what power your dragon has… but it's leaving the field.
"I activate the effect of Singularity Fiend in my hand. When your opponent Special Summons a monster: discard this card and 1 Spell Card; destroy those monsters.
"I discard Singularity Fiend and Card of Compensation, and destroy your Odd-Eyes Wizard Dragon!!"
The assassin had not used this card on Brave Neos because she wanted to observe the power of the spirit called Neos, specifically requested by her employer.
However, the moment Odd-Eyes Wizard Dragon appeared, her instincts as a Duelist screamed that something was dangerous about it; so she chose to use Singularity Fiend on this dragon.
A crimson demon burst from another dimension, diving straight at Wizard Dragon.
BOOM!!
ROOOOAR!!
With an anguished cry, Odd-Eyes Wizard Dragon was blown apart.
Seeing this, the assassin at once felt regret for spending such a game-changing card on Odd-Eyes Wizard Dragon and clicked her tongue. "Then Card of Compensation's effect activates. If this card is discarded from the hand, I draw 2 cards."
"Then I chain to your Card of Compensation—activating the effect of Odd-Eyes Wizard Dragon!" Yuui said coldly. "When this card is destroyed by your opponent and sent to the Graveyard:
"Special Summon 1 Odd-Eyes monster from your Deck or Graveyard, except this card. Then add 1 Spiral Flame Strike from your Deck to your hand.
"I Special Summon Odd-Eyes Advance Dragon!!"
Brilliant light surged outward as a massive dragon with heterochromatic eyes spread its wings, its thick tail sweeping across the battlefield.
