The bath left my skin warm and tingling, while the air was still sharp with peppermint. I wrapped a towel around myself and walked out of the bathroom, the lingering steam curling around my ankles.
Nessa was already busy at the bed, humming softly as she laid out a small collection of dresses. "Oh, Esther. I was just about to come check on you. Come here and see which one you like best."
I stepped forward and glanced at the selection. These dresses were much more ornate than the ones she's given me before, made from colorful silks and satins.
"These are all the current popular styles," Nessa said, her eyes lighting up. "This bright blue is especially sought after this season."
I could tell by the way she looked at the dress that she was dying to wear it. It was a beautiful dress, but a different one caught my eye.
