Hearing the news of thirty dead, Elior dwelled on his thoughts
'Less than the expected amount but I wished I could have done more'

"Headmistress, how many first years are dead?" Elior asked
"Fifteen are dead," Vale said calmly
"Oh, okay," Elior said as he lay back on the bed while his pain grew worse
"You are surprisingly calm" Vale said
"I believe there are only two paths—move forward or dwell on the past."
"That is true" Vale said
"The school is currently on break—two months to be exact."
"For renovations, I think." Elior said

On break
"Ehhh," Elior said as he held his ribs.
"Be careful lad" Vale said
"They are already on break, so why am I still here?"
"The break started yesterday but you were still in no shape. Your parents and siblings are aware and will be waiting for you to come soon" Vale said calmly
"So, Lyra is at home" Elior asked
"Yes"
'That's good'
"A necessary recovery period. Students will be reorganizing their thoughts both physiological emotionally and mentally"
"Yes ma" Elior said
"Your transport has been arranged, and it is set for two days from now."
Elior nodded slowly
"Also, there was a ceremony being held" Vale said
"Participation trophies, I guess."
"Yes, with the most impactful students receiving something in return," she said.
"That is good" Elior said
"You will be receiving something as well, despite no one knowing your involvement." Vale said smiling ear to ear
"I cannot accept it, Headmistress." Elior said humbly
"I know but I want to give you. Come by the office tomorrow, okay" Vale said as she stood up
Elior sighed
"Yes ma"
Headmistress Vale just waved as she left the office
'Just great'
'An interesting kid'
Despite Vale staying in the same room with Elior, she had tried to release her pressure but Elior still felt it. Now at least, the environment had become calm.
"Hey brat, time for your medicine" Miss sora said holding medicine with a smirk

As morning arrived reached, Miss Sora stood looking at Elior as he tried to stand up, despite being in no condition; the headmistress had requested for him since Elior would be leaving the next day.
"So, need help?" Miss Sora said
"Yes please" Elior said shyly
As Miss Sora helped Elior to his feet, she quickly got the crutches which Elior put his weight on.
He was not at a hundred percent, but it was enough.
"Please stay away from injuries." Sora said in irritation
"I will try" Elior said
As Elior walked towards the headmistress, the winter breeze had started kicking in, walking through the buildings, Elior was just calm

Now in his eyes, those spots were stained in blood
Not that it was his business but after everything, thoughts will that still weighed on him, especially after he had killed two people.
After regaining consciousness, it had been evident as Elior had not being sleeping properly.
As Elior reached Headmistress Vale office, he sighed silently before knocking on the door
"Come in"
As Elior opened the door, he was in awe. The office resembled more of a library rather than office. Books and documents were swirling in the air and rearranging themselves
'Just what is her arcana capacity'
"Welcome Elior" Vale said with a smile
"Thank you for having me" Elior replied
Vale signaled for Elior to take a sit and he did
"So, straight to business" Vale said
Elior gulped
He had not known the reason for why he was summoned neither did he know what he was about to receive either.
'Let's hope it is nothing serious.'
"I will keep it short, your involvement in this event has been tremendous, despite your wish for no one to find out."
"So, I personally believe it is only right to give you something."
"So, I would like to give you a skill."

Then exploded
"SKILL!"
