"Manga, huh."
Asuna nodded. Yusei had mentioned it to her before. Originally, she wasn't particularly interested.
But because Yusei liked it, she had deliberately read quite a few manga series and was now quite knowledgeable about them.
"Well then, let me help you draw some scenes. Tell me about it, and I might be able to draw a little too," Asuna said with a gentle smile.
"You can draw?" Yusei was surprised.
"You mentioned it to me last time, so I learned a bit. I should be able to handle some simple scenes."
Yusei looked at this girl, feeling a bit touched, 'This is what a supportive partner is like.'
He really wanted to hug his wife and give her a big kiss, but they were at school. It wouldn't look good to do so here, so he had to hold back.
Although the couple didn't act on it, the 'couple aura' they emitted was still enough to make Kaguya quite depressed.
She clenched her small fists, her eyes fixed on her book. But the page hadn't been turned for a long time.
She poked Hayasaka, who was sitting in front of her, with her pen.
"Hayasaka, do you know how to draw manga?"
"No, I don't."
"Then help me find materials on manga drawing techniques. I want to learn to draw manga."
Hayasaka was speechless. She glanced back at Kaguya and found that she was staring intently at her book, but her ears were perked up, listening to the conversation nearby.
'Sigh...' Hayasaka shook her head internally, 'The last time I tried to assist, it was interrupted. Lately, I haven't had many chances to help out either.'
Hayasaka worried that if this continued, Kaguya's peaceful days, her happiness, and her own sanity would be affected.
'Ojou-sama was acting unlike herself, doing inexplicable things, all because of this Kazami Yusei.'
The morning passed with Yusei helping Asuna catch up on his manuscript. He didn't get to do his own drawing, spending the whole morning assisting Asuna. They finally managed to finish most of it.
He'll just complete the rest later. In the evening, after returning home and having dinner, Yusei usually practiced the Hiten Mitsurugi-ryu. The improvement in swordsmanship was reflected in all aspects, with a significant increase in bodily control.
…
During lunchtime, Kaguya had brought a lunchbox prepared by the Shinomiya Family's chef. It was extremely luxurious and beautifully arranged, looking very exquisite.
Yusei looked with desire at Kaguya's... well, at the lunchbox.
He wasn't opposed to being a foodie, and everyone knew that. He also never seemed to gain weight.
'What's wrong with eating well? It's not like I'll get fat anyway.'
A fierce internal struggle raged in Yusei's mind under Kaguya's gaze. Her face showed a strong conflict.
'Would it make Asuna unhappy? Giving a boyfriend a lunchbox... but he's not mine. What does giving Yusei-kun a lunchbox mean? Would Yusei-kun... think I'm too forward? What if he dislikes me for it?'
Caught between suspicion and the fear of Yusei's potential dislike, Kaguya resolutely chose the former.
Helplessly, she said, "Ah, there's really no other way if you want..."
Just then, she saw Asuna take out a neatly wrapped chicken roll from her bag.
The chicken rolls were arranged orderly in the lunchbox, complete with side dishes and sauce.
They were even wrapped in napkins, extremely thoughtful. One could just hold the bottom and eat it directly.
Asuna took one out from the box. Seeing this, Yui, sitting in Yusei's lap, happily ate one too.
Kaguya snapped out of her reverie, staring at her own exquisite lunchbox.
Perhaps because she knew Yusei had a big appetite, Asuna had made a lot, as there were six in total. Asuna hadn't just made them for Yusei.
Yusei took a bite, and his eyes immediately lit up, "Asuna, your cooking skills have improved again."
As he said this, he continued devouring his food.
He didn't eat by himself. He took two and handed them to Kaguya and Hayasaka, "You should try them too."
Hayasaka opened her own lunchbox and silently accepted it. She took a bite without any change of expressions.
As for Kaguya, she felt an inexplicable discomfort in her heart. She felt the chicken roll in her hand was... very unpleasant. It tasted delicious in her mouth, but when it reached her heart, it felt sour. It tasted sour, very unpleasant.
If it were before, she would probably be praising Asuna's cooking skills... but now, her heart only feels loss.
Asuna had taken one for herself too, not paying much attention as she also had a small appetite.
The large quantity she made was all for Yusei.
Yusei, feeling particularly hungry lately, finished the rest for her. He still seemed to want more, feeling he had been especially able to eat recently. It probably had something to do with his high energy consumption.
He didn't mind the energy consumption at all.
His eyes lit up when he saw Kaguya's completely untouched, exquisite lunchbox, which she was about to put away.
He moved to Kaguya's side.
Kaguya, lost in thought, was startled, and when she realized it was Yusei, she immediately became flustered.
She glanced at Asuna, who was also looking over curiously. Kaguya felt somewhat awkward and didn't dare move recklessly.
Yusei pointed somewhat apologetically at the exquisite lunchbox, "Even if you're full... wasting food is no good. How about I take care of it for you? In return, I'll teach you a new sword technique later."
Without waiting for an answer, Yusei directly took out her lunchbox and returned to his seat.
Kaguya wasn't angry, instead, her face showed a hint of pride, though she was inwardly pleased, "A new sword technique, huh."
"You might be able to defeat Okita Souji with it," Yusei added.
Mentioning Souji is indeed quite alluring for Kaguya.
"Yusei-kun, you seem... different lately," Asuna said somewhat puzzled, "Your appetite has increased quite a bit."
