Chapter 16 - CHAPTER SIXTEEN | VYRARTH

The whole castle was in a panic state, goblins ran around for weapons, they started to remove the lamps to create explosives.

"How many do we have?"

"Not much," Redbeard said.

"Divide them in three, send-"

"We don't have that many, we would lose them all."

"Which side did they start?"

"North."

"I will take half to the North, if they attack from the East, you take the rest. Zarm will defend if they enter through the West."

"No," Zarm protested. "I won't die here with no army."

"You have the castle, we leave you some goblins," Redbeard said.

"No,"

There was another warhorn, a goblin came dashing through the others, "East, they are coming from East."

"You go North then," I said to Zarm. "You take half, and more will join from the other side. You take the other half and get to the East."

"It's said, no changes," Zarm said.

"Go away."

"You are rushing," Redbeard said.

"Let them wait for the Hoblins, We will fight both groups here."

The goblins started marching out, I climbed the stairs and went to the corridor. The chamber was empty, I kept walking, it expanded into a huge hall with no walls, Father stood against the railing with a long spyglass.

"So this is where it ends, isn't it?"

We could see the goblins marching below us, followed by two ogres and a few orcs in full armour.

"We shouldn't have sent them East."

"No, that's not where we slipped," he said. "We slipped in the very beginning, when we tried to capture all three councils. We should have gone for the wizard first, straight to the head. At Least the ones coming after us won't repeat it."

The armies met, there was a storm of dust, a loud war cry, I could see people flying everywhere, fire burst randomly, the war began.

Two waves came in, we started to see blue armoured knights coming close, it was the same in the East. I still waited for them to burst through the west, but it was certain, they would through the North before from the West.

"I don't see elves," Father muttered.

I looked closer, there were knights with swords, knights with spear, knights with hammer, knights with double barrels, but there were no clues of elves.

"What does this mean?"

He didn't speak, he kept skimming from one corner to another. "The weapons," he said without taking his eye off, "they have sent weapons."

I started noticing the skinning weapons now, elves blades, golden spears, bright hammers. I dropped the robe as I walked down the stairs. An orc was standing under it, I waved him to the West as I picked the armour pieces. I grabbed a blade before tying the vambrace. I gestured the orcs towards the west as I entered the field. Zarm, who was standing high on a wooden platform jerked in fear when I tapped it.

"What," he shouted from above.

"Take them west," I said.

"What?"

"Take them west."

He was baffled yet scared, he commanded an orc nearby to blow the war horn. The orcs started backing towards the castle, pulling the goblin with them. I caught a knight and planted the blade through his back under the armour. The goblins moved away as he dropped his blade. I sliced it out and moved forward. Another knight came dashing, I wiped the blood off and swung the blade, He started bleeding from his hand, I swung again and caught his neck. I dropped the blade and fetched his instead. I immediately tried the elves metal on a knight from behind, inserting it between his helmet and chest armour, then dragged it to the bottom tearing the whole armour. I landed my leg and threw him down.

Soon the ground became empty, there were dead lying around everywhere, there were a few knights and orcs still fighting and a single ogre. A knight climbed on it and pulled it down to knee. I swung the blade, made a spin and threw it on him. It went straight spinning in the air, caught his hand and got deflected before it stuck on the ground. He climbed down, and shook the blood off his hands. Two more knights joined him. The one on the left wore a cape half burnt in fire, he had dark hair and a short beard under his chin. The other one wore a cracked helmet, he crushed them in one hand and shook them off like sand. Blonde hair and a cunning face, his other hand juggled a dagger. He spat blood beside and struck first. I blocked his hand, the dagger dropped and his other hand caught it and scratched my skin. I went back, pushing him away. The one with the helmet came flying, I leaned and missed his hand, but he landed his leg and pushed me down. I fell on the blonde hair, I immediately caught his head and rolled him down before he could swing the dagger. He fell in a distance away from me. The one with the helmet bent down to pick a blade from the ground, we ended up in beginning.

That time the dark haired knight started, he threw his fists in a swing, I caught his hand and sent him back to the other knights. They dodged him and came for me, the blonde hair aimed for my face and the helmet went for the chest. I dodged the first and fell on the second. When I tried to get up, he caught his leg around me and pinned me down, at the same time the blonde knight fell on me with his dagger to the face. I put my hand in between and caught it. He was so furious that he pressed my hand and broke my finger with it and tore it off. I cried as I pulled my leg in between and threw him away. The dark hair immediately came with a mace and smashed my face. I fell down away from them and reached for the blade. The helmet knight caught me again around the neck. I pulled the dagger from my boots and jabbed his hip repeatedly until he let me go. I caught the blade and swung it against the other knight who came with the mace. It just scratched his abdomen but before he could realise, I went for his head and fell on him. I pulled the blade out from his throat and buried his head with my leg. The other knights backed off a bit, the one with the helmet came first, I met his hand with the blade, but it merely scratched the armour, So I pushed him down and climbed on him. I flipped the blade and splashed the knob on his face, again and again, until it dented down with flesh squeezing out from the slits.

I took breaths while kneeling on him, the blonde knight stood there frozen, still waiting to be butchered. I stood up and walked to him, "where is the wizard?"

I caught his armour, his dagger dropped down, luckily he didn't wear a helmet. I put him down and smashed his face, that time I didn't remember to wipe the blood. He spit blood, unlike the other knight his face swelled up, his eyes were completely gone.

"Where is the wizard," I cried again.

I smashed his face again, and again, his skin tore off, his teeth and other bones came out and he didn't say a word.
