Chapter 732 - Chapter 385: When in Doubt, Ask Mokgetsu

"Well, if you need any help, you can come directly to my house to find me," said Uchiha Nobuhiro.

He also planned to meet some of the pacifist Uchihas to discuss the current situation of the Uchiha clan.

Finally, Shisui glanced at Uchiha Fugaku, who had not yet left.

Based on Uchiha Fugaku's performance at the clan meeting, Shisui judged that Fugaku did not favor Uchiha Seisei's proposal, but was restrained from speaking further for some reasons.

"Shisui, do you have something to discuss?" Uchiha Fugaku asked, noticing Shisui's gaze.

After this clan meeting, Uchiha Fugaku had grown more appreciative of Uchiha Shisui. Despite his young age, his thinking ability surpassed that of many adult Uchihas, which was something Obito lacked.

"No, goodbye, Uncle Fugaku," Shisui shook his head and bid farewell.

Although Uchiha Fugaku also opposed Uchiha Seisei, it was clear that Uchiha Fugaku didn't have a good solution; otherwise, he wouldn't have postponed the meeting for a week.

After leaving Nankai Shrine, Shisui went straight to the Main Konoha District and stood in front of Mokgetsu's house.

Shisui was not alone. Since he couldn't come up with a good solution himself, he sought out the Teacher Mokgetsu whom he trusted.

Shisui knocked on Mokgetsu's door, and after entering Mokgetsu's house, he laid out his difficulties without reservation.

"Your general approach is not wrong," Mokgetsu said after listening.

"You mean I should challenge Elder Seisei within this week and then explain at the clan meeting?" Shisui asked.

Mokgetsu shook his head, denying it, "Since you don't want to become a mortal enemy with Elder Seisei, you can't be that direct."

"Doesn't Uchiha Fugaku support you? You can have Uchiha Fugaku organize a martial arts exhibition under the pretext of enhancing the quality of clan ninjas. Members who perform well will receive guidance from the elders, and the elder guiding you will 'just happen' to be Elder Seisei. At that point, you can defeat him with a 'marginal superiority' stance."

If Shisui were to actually issue a challenge at the clan meeting and directly defeat Uchiha Seisei, Mokgetsu felt that given Uchiha's mentality, Uchiha Seisei might go mad.

After understanding Mokgetsu's words, Shisui immediately felt enlightened. This way, even if Uchiha Seisei lost, he wouldn't hold much of a grudge against him.

After all, it was all a coincidence. Shisui was simply too strong, and when Uchihas lose, they don't blame the opponent's strength; they only feel it's their own inadequacy.

"Don't get your hopes too high, some people will hold grudges no matter how it's done, because you made them lose face," Mokgetsu reminded.

No matter how subtle the approach, if Shisui defeats Uchiha Seisei, especially in front of everyone, losing face is unavoidable.

"Yes, I understand," Shisui nodded, then asked a question that puzzled him.

"I feel that Elder Seisei is very sharp. He should know this plan couldn't succeed, so why is he doing it?"

Shisui didn't believe that with Uchiha Seisei's demonstrated level of discourse, he couldn't see through this matter.

This wasn't a minor issue of raising wages or benefits; it involved some core rights.

"Sometimes, what is unfavorable to the group isn't necessarily unfavorable to him," Mokgetsu said earnestly.

"You might think this matter is serious and could alert Konoha's leadership to the Uchiha, but from Uchiha Seisei's perspective, the Uchiha are already under Konoha's scrutiny, so what harm is an extra bit of suspicion? As long as there's no coup, Konoha's leadership won't do anything substantial against the Uchiha."

"On the contrary, for Uchiha Seisei, after being rejected by Konoha, he can further incite the emotions of the Uchiha ninjas, expanding the hawk faction, which is beneficial for him."

Shisui remained silent, realizing he had underestimated Uchiha Seisei. He still lacked too much experience in every aspect.

"Luckily, there's Teacher Mokgetsu," Shisui thought with relief. If he had followed his original plan, the situation might have ended in complete chaos.
