The Evil God replied, "If you think this degree can make me panic, you're underestimating a god too much.

The figure controlled by the Evil God also drew a card from the Duel Disc.
"Activate the Magic Card 'Pot of Greed'," the Evil God declared, "Draw two cards from the Deck."
The Evil God drew two cards, glanced at them, paused slightly, and then laughed coldly.
"It's been ten years since our battle back then. To us, ten years is just the blink of an eye, but to insignificant mortals, it's a long time, so President Kaiba has forgotten the terrifying aspects of an Evil God.

It was evident that the Evil God was doing this intentionally.
Back then, the brothers of the Evil God possessed Pegasus Nightwalker, and defeated Kaiba through Nightwalker's hand. While the Evil God Cards were a key factor, Pegasus Nightwalker as a Duelist was also top-notch.
The Divine Beast King was indeed part of Pegasus Nightwalker's series.
Now, even though the Evil God wasn't using Nightwalker as a host, it deliberately chose to use the Divine Beast King, as if intentionally digging at the wounds of Kaiba's past defeats, repeatedly reminding him of having lost to the Evil God's hands.
This aligns with the theories Yugen learned at Duel Academy. During a Duel, using one's "momentum" to overwhelm the opponent, so that even mentally the opponent hesitates, thus conceding half the battle before it even starts.
Many antagonists in animations who disregard fair play employ many such external tactics for the same purpose. Holding hostages, employing unexpected Dark Game formats to intimidate, or even using direct psychological attacks to disturb the opponent's mental state and willpower, making it easier for one's Destiny Power to suppress the opponent, increasing the chances of victory.
But who is Seto Kaiba? He has encountered outside maneuvers far more vicious than such mockery. Directly facing his past failures doesn't affect him, if anything, it makes his determination to win even stronger. The Evil God's attempt to shake him with this low-grade tactic was counterproductive.
Seeing the opponent remains unmoved, the Evil God continued with his play: "Then I will sacrifice the 'Divine Beast King Barbaros'!"
Kaiba said, "The effect of Divine Beast King's Compromise Summon is still a Normal Summon. You've already performed a Normal Summon this turn, you can't conduct an Upper-level Summon."
To prevent any dishonest play from the opponent.
"Thanks for pointing that out, President Kaiba. But such things need no reminders," the Evil God said, "I sacrifice the Divine Beast King Barbaros, for a Special Summon from my hand——

Though it sounds like merely a name change for the same Monster, the appearance upon summoning seemed only to have swapped its clothing. Still with that fierce lion's head, spiral long spear, and blue Shield, human upper body with beastly lower, but the aura was completely incomparable to before.

"Beast God King Barbaros can only be Special Summoned by using Monsters on the field whose total Levels equal or exceed eight stars as tribute," the Evil God explained, "So I used the Level 8 Beast God King as a tribute to Special Summon this card!
The Beast God King is Barbaros' king form, having unlocked greater power, capable of easily destroying even your Blue-Eyes..."
The Evil God raised his arm dramatically.
"By removing a 'Barbaros' Monster from my Graveyard or the Monsters on my field from play, Beast God King can target up to two cards on your side of the field and destroy them!"
The Barbaros that had just been sacrificed appeared as a phantom behind the Evil God's field. As the Evil God retrieved a Monster Card from the Graveyard and displayed it, both the phantom and the card in his hand turned to flickering golden light, gradually fading away, banished from the game.
"Remove 'Divine Beast King Barbaros' from the Graveyard from play to destroy 'Blue-Eyes Sub-White Dragon' and 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon'!"
With a mighty roar, Beast God King thrust its spiral spear. The spear light split midair, advancing towards Kaiba's field's two White Dragons on either side!
With the two dragons on the field about to be struck down in one blow, Kaiba snorted, swinging his arm as a Cover Card flipped up from his backfield.
"I've said, over the past ten years, my Blue-Eyes have undergone earth-shattering evolution, and I am no longer the same as I was then. Now let me give you a deeper understanding of that!
Activate Cover Card, Speed Attack Magic 'Ultimate Fusion'!
This card activates only during the Main Phase of either side. Return Fusion Materials from my hand, field, or Graveyard to the Deck, and conduct a Fusion Summon for Fusion Monsters requiring 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' or 'Ultimate Blue-Eyes Dragon' as material!"

"Exactly!"
Kaiba lifted three Monster Cards in one motion.
"The effect of 'Blue-Eyes Sub-White Dragon', allows it to be used as 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' when on the field!
