Chapter 112 - Chapter 111: The Decisive Battle Begins

Chapter 111: The Decisive Battle Begins

The void was filled with countless colossal steel fireworks, and warship wreckage was everywhere.

The Vengeful Spirit was like a pistil wrapped in steel petals, dark and mysterious.

Due to the high degree of fusion with the warp, the surviving Chaos warriors did not die immediately but fell onto planetary surfaces that protruded from warp rifts.

The entire space existed in an extremely bizarre way!

On Leman Russ's flagship, the Space Wolves were all shocked when they saw this scene through the tactical projection.

"They dared to do this! They're absolutely insane!"

An Imperial warrior exclaimed, his voice filled with disbelief and awe.

Leman Russ clenched his fist and said coldly, "Faster! Even faster! Charge through, now is a good opportunity!"

At the same time, in the warship's command bridge, Guilliman slowly awoke from his chaotic thoughts, a colossal explosion echoing in his ears, as if the entire universe trembled with it.

He raised his head, and the tactical screen beside him projected a panoramic view of the battlefield.

The explosion's firelight engulfed the starfield, countless warship wrecks scattered like meteors, and various fragments and flames danced in the dark void.

He paused for a moment, then quickly stood up, his voice low and urgent.

"What's... what's going on? My seat isn't even warm yet. Where are we?"

Lion El'Jonson rubbed his temples, slowly getting up, undisguised shock on his face.

"It seems like... we... crashed."

Perturabo's iron-grey armor looked particularly stern in the afterglow of the explosion, a hint of reverence in his voice.

"This is insane! This is simply art!"

While they were still exclaiming, Francis's voice reached them.

"Don't just stand there! Strike while he's down!"

Francis, leading tens of thousands of white Ogryn, charged out of the Abyss's Roar, whose prow was already damaged.

"Little ones, do you see? Treasures are everywhere, wreaking havoc for me!"

"Let's transform our warship into a gigantic transforming Titan! Waaaaaaaaagh!"

"Blackstone in hand, the galaxy is mine! Little ones, charge with me!"

Francis, carrying the blackstone sword, roared excitedly!

Behind him, the Soul Drinkers, wearing blackstone armor, carried giant blackstone coffins, following Francis. They leaped continuously through the countless warship wrecks and Chaos warriors in the void, constantly approaching the Vengeful Spirit.

Perhaps the enemy hadn't adapted yet; countless Chaos warriors were still floating in the void, attempting to swim back to the wrecks using various swimming motions.

"Ah~ war is a meat grinder. I don't want to get my hands bloody either."

Francis gently pried open a Chaos warrior's hand, which was clinging to the wreck, then gently pushed him. The Chaos warrior floated toward deep space, his eyes shedding bloody tears, roaring madly.

"Damn it! You're an animal!"

"Animal!"

Even to save humanity, Francis firmly remembered that he should help others! Only then could they survive!

He suddenly stopped, a cold chill rising from the metal deck beneath his feet.

Accompanied by a low roar, countless daemons surged from beneath the deck.

"Blood for the Blood God, skulls for the Skull Throne!"

Francis did not hesitate, raising his hand and swinging the blackstone sword. Just as the Bloodletters spewed flames, the light from the blade collided with the daemon's warp energy, emitting a piercing shriek.

Instantly!

The blackstone sword directly split the flames, cutting through the daemon's body as easily as slicing tofu. The daemon let out a mournful shriek; the blackstone seemed to cause him immense pain.

"Aaaaaah~!"

The painful screams even made the daemons behind hesitate.

Francis charged straight ahead, roaring, "Don't disgrace the Blood God! Come and let me have some fun!"

He stepped forward, chasing and hacking at these daemons!

With each swing of the sword, the daemon's body turned into thick smoke and dissipated, their screams so pleasant to his ears!

Francis continued toward the Vengeful Spirit. The ruins before him began to twist, and a tall figure slowly emerged from the warp rift.

Daemon Primarch Fulgrim appeared again!

His body was immensely tall, a nauseating intertwining of corruption and beauty. Metallic plates reflected faint glows, and six slender yet hideous arms each held a blood-stained weapon.

His face was exquisite yet twisted, his eyes as black as an abyss, a dangerous smile on his lips. The wings on his back seemed woven from blood and radiance, slowly unfurling as if to blot out starlight.

"Francis, we meet again!"

"How I miss that night, when the God told me to bring you back. As long as you return with me, the Great One will bestow upon us endless pleasure!"

Fulgrim whispered, his voice filled with deadly temptation, his eyes glinting with desire and madness.

"Ah~~ Little Fufu, come play hiss-ha hiss-ha. "Fulgrim was about to charge when a terrifying electromagnetic cannon directly struck in front of him.

Ferrus's roar came from behind Francis. "Fulgrim! You and I will settle this today!"

"You actually still want to invade Terra and harm Father! From today onwards, you and I are breaking our bond of brotherhood with this hammer!" Ferrus was seen raising the warhammer that Fulgrim had forged for him, then he forcefully bent the hammer's handle with both hands and threw it toward Fulgrim!

"Francis, hurry and go! Horus is counting on you!" Ferrus pushed Francis away.

As Francis continued forward, his foot stepping on rotten metal plates, he felt a familiar presence!

"Francis, I finally understand what you said now."

"But it's too late for everything. Why didn't you join us? If you had, perhaps everything would be different."

Mortarion's voice was low and hoarse, grating like rusting metal.

His form was enveloped in a deep green miasma, his body like a colossal corpse ravaged by decay and disease.

He became agitated, roaring madly.

"Why did you betray us?!"

"If you hadn't betrayed us! I wouldn't have become like this!"

"It's all you! It's all your fault! It's your fault I became like this!"

"I'll take you back to the Garden! Let Father Nurgle pour the most venomous concoctions down your throat every day! To make you even uglier!"

"Aaaaaah!"

His words fell. The surrounding miasma grew even thicker.

As if sensing something, Francis sighed.

"At a time like this, don't blame others. Think about the path ahead."

Finally, the previously damaged Abyss's Roar, transformed by the white Ogryn, was covered in living metal, emanating a strange vital rhythm, slowly stepping out from the collapsing shadows.

The warship's hull had transformed, its layered armor plates twisting and merging to form a colossal mechanical body.

A roar, as if the entire universe trembled at its appearance.

The Abyss's Roar had transformed into a machine even larger than an Emperor-class Titan!

The light from overhead reflected on the dark gold and crimson intertwined armor surface, and propelled by the ork engine, each step made the starship wreckage tremble and shatter.

A shining energy core was embedded in its chest, like a beating heart.

Its two arms were equipped with massive laser destructors and plasma cutting blades. Its legs were wrapped in beast-like living armor, also with spikes that could tear through space.

Even though Mortarion deliberately emitted a large amount of miasma to corrupt the machine, the many clearly visible blackstone components on the machine's exterior did not tolerate him.

"This is... impossible..."

Daemon Primarch Mortarion watched this scene, his voice low with disbelief. His scythe trembled slightly in the miasma, whether from anger or fear.

The colossal Titan slowly lowered its head, deep red light shooting from its eye sockets, enveloping Francis's position.

Even just one eye was several times the size of Mortarion's body!

"Nothing is impossible! Come and believe in Waaaaaaagh! It will grant you strength and happiness!"

Francis looked down at him, a slight smile on his lips, holding the blackstone sword.

He resolutely leapt into the Abyss's Roar Titan!

When the Titan stood up again, Mortarion was smaller than small.

"This ork tech abomination... to be able to create such a monster..."

Mortarion roared softly, trying to dispel the metallic pressure in the air, but the Titan's presence slowed his movements.

He could feel the savage will emanating from the living metal and the terrifying energy contained within the Titan.

"Are you challenging me for your Father Nurgle?"
