Emily's eyelids fluttered open when she heard the knocks followed by Max's voice.
"Max…" She murmured sleepily and was about to say he should come later because she wanted to sleep a bit more.
But right then, as her mind cleared more, she recalled the world wasn't the same before for the last two weeks.
She also recalled the memories of last night, how she was tossing and turning in her bed restlessly upon hearing her youngest daughter's breathless, pleasured moans and Max's beastly groans.

'Just what was that slice of bread? How did it satisfy my hunger?' She thought.
Just an hour or so after she ate the bread Max gave her and drank the water, she no longer felt out of energy and exhausted.
This was why, after enduring the torment of Max and Natalie's moans… she slept like a log last night and ended up forgetting their—world's—current situation.
'Oh right! He is waiting.' She snapped back to her senses and called out, "Yes, I'm awake, Max. Wait a moment."
Saying this, she quickly adjusted her clothes, fix her bed hair before opening the door.
Immediately, she was left surprised.
Normally, whenever she wore short dresses, he would stare at her when he thought she wasn't looking.
Now that he had somehow changed and had become more assertive and confident—had already had sex with Natalie without caring whether they would find out—she had expected him to ogle her without trying to hide it because, right now, she was dressed in white shorts and a top that covered just an inch below her breasts, leaving her toned belly visible for him to admire. Above that, even though she had a purple silk coat on, it wasn't tied, so her curves were on full display.
