[Ding! The Corpse Decomposing Powder has been bought successfully!]

A prompt appeared which he dismissed and opened the system inventory, where the icon of a grey package had appeared.

As he clicked on it with a thought, a small package appeared in front of him which he caught.

"Hm?" The package probably didn't weigh even 100 grams, but Max knew better than to compare the weight of things to the price.

With the package in hand, he walked over to the corpses and immediately frowned because they had bled out quite a bit and the area under the tree was completely soaked.

"Let's just deal with the corpses first." He tore open the package, poured some of the contents—a gray powder—on his palm before sprinkling it on the corpses.

Sizzle~ Sizzle~

As soon as it landed on the corpses, they began to hiss and sizzle as if they were being boiled in oil. Then under Max's astonished gaze, within a few seconds, the corpses turned into dirt no different than that of his garden.

However, their clothes remained intact. When he pulled them out of the pile of dirt, he noticed two knives in them.

'Hm? So, they also had weapons?' His pupils constricted slightly and he thanked his lucky stars that he didn't give them time to pull the knives out, otherwise, it wouldn't have been as easy to kill them.

He also noticed a bulge in one pair of pants and when he checked it out, he found a wallet. Except for a picture of three, it had nothing.

Max took a look at the photo—there were three people in it, a man, a woman and a young girl.

He recognised the man as the second guy he killed.

The woman wasn't pretty, but she wasn't ugly either, just an ordinary looking woman. As for the girl, she was cute and looked younger than Natalie. However, given the photo was quite old, he fleetingly wondered if she had already bloomed into adulthood.

Shaking his head, he put the photo back into the wallet, gathered the clothes and took them to the shed where he set them on fire.

"Now, I need a shower." He muttered, washing his hands with some water from the inventory.

It's been two weeks since he last showered. And last night he sweated quite a bit. Though he had wiped himself with a wet cloth, it wasn't enough.

He also knew, just like him, the ladies in the house also could use a good bath.

So, after the clothes turned into ashes, he went to the back garden, found the water supply line and closed the valve.

Though the chances of water flowing backwards were nil since the valves were built to let the water in and not out, he still did it.

Then, he entered the house, knocked on Emily's door and said, "Mom… Make sure the taps are closed."

Inside, Emily was eating the bread, savoring it, when she heard this and raised her brows in confusion.

Why did it matter whether they were closed or not? There was no water left in the water tank, after all.

'Wait!' Suddenly, a thought crossed her mind and her heart skipped a beat. Though she didn't want to entertain this thought because the disappointment would be greater, she couldn't help herself from becoming excited and hoping what she thought was correct.

"Okay." She quickly called out, jumped off the bed and rushed into the bathroom.

Since Sophie was in Natalie's room, Max closed the taps in her bathroom, then told her to close the ones in Natalie's bathroom before entering his room.

After making sure no water would be wasted, he headed to the roof and arrived before the 1000-liter water tank and opened the lid.

[Harem Points: 75]

Glancing at the Harem Points, he decided to use 30 Points and within a few moments, filled the tank with 300 Liters.

'This much should last us a few days.' He thought.

Before going down, he glanced at Martinaz's villa, but didn't see anyone—they probably were inside.

'I should go check on them.' He thought.

Since Natalie needed rest, Sophie wanted time and he wanted Emily to come to him herself, he was free, so he decided to go check on them.

'Hopefully, they are still alive, otherwise it would be a real pity.'

A while ago…

After Max gave her a jug of water and piece of bread, Sophie ate a slice and drank some water before walking out of her room and going towards Natalie's.

Knock! Knock!

"Lily, are you up?" She called out after knocking.

Inside the room, Natalie heard the knocks and gradually woke up.

"Nngh~" As she began to stretch subconsciously, she felt a sting between her legs. For a moment, she furrowed her brows in confusion, but soon remembered what had transpired last night.

Immediately, her face turned red. She wanted to pretend she was asleep so Sophie would leave, but right then,

Click!

Sophie opened the door and entered.

Shua!

Flustered, Natalie hid in her blanket, not wanting her to see her.

Sophie walked over, put the water jug and bread on the bedside table before sitting on the bed.

"Max asked me to stay with you and take care of you." She told her.

"I-It's alright, Seph. You go out, no need to stay with me." Natalie said.

"I'm staying. You need my help." Sophie shook her head, grabbed the edge of the blanket and pulled it off Natalie, who yelped in surprised before hastily grabbing the blanket and wrapping it around her naked body.

She then shouted at Sophie, "What do you think you are doing?!"

Sophie acted as if she couldn't see Natalie was angry and calmly said, "One day, in near future, Max would probably tell you to take care of me too. If you don't let me help you today, I wouldn't feel comfortable letting you help me at that time either."

Natalie stared at her, wide-eyed. She then bit her lower lip and after hesitating for a while, subtly nodded, "Alright."

"Good." Sophie smiled, reached out and affectionately rubbed her head.

"Stop it!" Just as Natalie was about to slap her hand away, she pulled back and stood up.

Right then, she noticed a patch of red on the bedsheet, previously hidden underneath the blanket.

She looked just for a moment before shifting her gaze away.

While she acted like she hadn't seen anything, Natalie had caught her gaze and when she saw the patch of red, she felt so embarrassed that she wanted to find a hole to hide.
