A few months have passed by since Naoya and Satoru went to meet Yuta Okkotsu at the confinement chambers.
After talking with the boy and getting to know more about him, Naoya and Satoru came to the conclusion to let the boy join Jujutsu High.
The boy's curse was quite twisted and strong, and if handled carelessly, could cause a lot of trouble for the people of Japan. Strong sorcerers won't be affected much, but for others, it could be a death sentence. Not to mention killing the kid didn't sit right with both Naoya and Satoru. The boy wasn't aware of how to control his curse, but from what they could infer from the boy and the tests they did, Rika, his curse, acted out only when Yuta was in danger.
Rika's curse seemed to be tied to the love between the boy and the girl turned girl, and she only rampages to protect the boy she loves. Though those rampages are quite devastating and could easily destroy cities if left to do so.
Though that also meant there was a silver lining. If Rika were not inherently dangerous or had destructive tendencies towards humanity, then Yuta could train himself to be a sorcerer with a supremely powerful curse acting as his bodyguard that can remove most obstacles from his way. Though that would be quite far off in the future, Rika was far too destructive to be used in crowded places and had to be kept as a trump card.
Still, in the end, Yuta was given clearance to join Jujutsu High. He was not fond of the idea very much, but not wanting to end up alone when he couldn't even die felt quite awful to him. Naoya's and Satoru's words helped him choose this decision as well. For the first time, Yuta felt like trusting someone and accepted the proposal.
He was enrolled in the Tokyo branch.
Tokyo was chosen because at the moment Kyoto had 3 first years and 3 second years, totalling six students, while Tokyo had 3 first years and 2 second years, totalling 5 students.
Yuta's addition would balance the student count.
Also, in Tokyo, they had Satoru Gojo, one of the strongest sorcerers of this era, who cannot even be touched by conventional means.
Although Naoya had defeated Satoru on multiple occasions, their strength was considered to be around a similar level. If going all out with the intention to kill, no one knew who would come out victorious. Plus, there was a fact that the entire Jujutsu Division knew. Aside from Naoya, there was probably no one who could even touch Satoru Gojo, which was not a fact for Naoya. Satoru's [Infinity] made him an unkillable guy, while Naoya could be touched, which meant he could be killed as well.
Because of these reasons, the HQ decided to place Yuta Okkotsu in Tokyo Jujutsu High.
Naoya and Satoru didn't mind the whole situation. To them, where Yuta was admitted didn't matter. Both of them were capable of subduing the boy and his curse if needed, and that's what mattered in admitting the boy anywhere.
Just like that, the time passed by, Naoya was enjoying his calm life of teaching students during the day and fooling around with Utahime at night. On weekends, he went out with friends or visited his family. There were occasional Jujutsu missions, but they were not much of an issue.
All in all, he was living a happy life.
Currently, it was early morning at Kyoto Jujutsu High, and Naoya was walking through the halls of the teacher's dorm, heading to Utahime's place. He had something to do last night and returned quite late.
He knocked on her door, and a second later, the door opened, revealing Utahime, who was wearing an apron over her shrine maiden garments.
Seeing her, Naoya smiled.
"I am back,"
"Welcome home," replied Utahime.
Naoya walked in and took off his shoes, but still stood at the entrance and started staring at Utahime.
"What?" asked the shrine maiden.
"Won't you do the 'Would like to have your dinner, your bath, or me~' thing?" asked Naoya with a straight face.
Utahime had a ladle in hand, and with that, she bonked Naoya.
*BONK*
"First of all, it's breakfast time, secondly, I already know your answer, so I won't," said Utaime and looked away.
"...I would choose dinner," said Naoya.
Utahime snorted at him. Surprisingly, it was true.
"What? Doing it all night long needs energy," said Naoya.
Utahime narrowed her eyes at Naoya as a faint blush adorned her cheeks.
*BONK*
A second bonk was awarded to Naoya for his crass comment.
Though, despite that, Naoya still smiled at Utahime. There were no retorts to his statement after all.
Naoya walked up to her and hugged her before lifting her up to carry her back to the kitchen.
"Oi! Let me down! There's food at the stove."
"What are we having?" asked Naoya, still carrying her.
"We? No food for you?"
"You lie. My cute, lovely, and sexy girlfriend won't let the weak and frail me starve," said Naoya.
"From what angle are you frail and weak?!" complained Utahime.
"My heart when I think of you," replied Utahime.
Utahime cringed at that, but still felt happy with the comment.
"...Though something starts hardening when my thou-"
*BONK*
Naoya happily laughed at his embarrassed girl and dropped her off at the kitchen.
He wanted to help Utahime in cooking, but the lady didn't allow him to help. Just like how Naoya was trying to make her dependent on him for hair care, Utahime was using a similar tactic with food.
In a way, both were obsessed with each other.
Once breakfast was prepared and Naoya set up the table for them, they sat together to have their meal.
Mid-meal, though, Naoya remembered something and put his chopsticks down.
"I forgot it. Utahime, I have a question for you."
"What?" asked Utahime back as she drank some miso soup.
Naoys fiddled with his pocket for a bit and placed a small box on the table.
"Will you marry me?" asked Naoya.
*POOFFFF!!!!*
Utahime spat the soup on Naoya, who raised some shadows to protect himself.
"That's bad table manners, you know," said Naoya as he chuckled.
"*Cough*F*ck *Cough* Manners!!!!" yelled Utahime as she coughed violently.
Naoya shook his head, grabbed his glass of water and offered it to Utahime.
Once she calmed down, she looked intently at Naoya. If the bastard had the gall of saying he was kidding, then she promised that today would be the day she kills a Special Grade sorcerer.
Naoya understood what she meant, and got off his seat with the box in hand and walked up to her and knelt beside her.
"I am serious. Will you marry me.....before you answer, just so you know, if the answer is not yes, I will go to Satoru and will be crying straight for a week. So tread carefully," said Naoya with a serious face and opened the box that housed a ring.
"..."
Utahime sat there completely motionless.
"Uta-"
"Yes! Absolutely yes!" yelled Utahime as she jumped off her seat and held Naoya's hand tightly.
"Are you su-"
"I swear to god that I will hit you with my bat if you ask me "Are you sure about that?" I won't even hold back and hit you in the face," threatened Utahime.
"...Maybe it's me who should be thinking twice before falling for such a violent lady," said Naoya with a smile as he took the ring out of the box and gently held Utahime's hand.
"Alright, let me just put this thing right here. Perfect," said Naoya as he placed the ring on her hand.
Utahime's face beamed with happiness as she admired the ring on her hand.
She stared at the ring and then looked at Naoya. She repeated this for a while before she jumped on Naoya, who caught her, though she still fell on his back with Utahime in his embrace.
"Easy the-" Naoya tried to speak, but Utahime sealed his lips with hers.
Seeing her happy, Naoya felt happy as well. He pondered for a bit whether he should have done the whole romantic schtick, but he wanted to catch her by surprise. Plus, to him, every moment with her was romantic in its own way.
Naoya suddenly felt Utahime's tongue trying to enter his mouth.
'...She's getting fiesty....who am I to stop her?' thought Naoya as she let her do as she pleased.
~ A few hours later~
Utahime lay panting on her bed as Naoya lay beside her with a prideful look on his face.
Banging just after propsing. He might just be what people call legendary.
"Hehe."
Naoya looked at Utahime, who was giggling like a little girl while looking at the ring.
"I am guessing you liked the surprise?" asked Naoya.
"I did. Thank you. I love you," said Utahime and pecked his cheek.
"Love you too."
The two stared at each other for a while.
"S-So....how come you proposed out of nowhere?"
"Milady, if you call an almost 9-year-long relationship 'out of nowhere', I am gonna spank you," said Naoya and gave a light spank on her ass.
"Stop that! I meant....well, you know what I meant. When did you think of proposing?" asked Utahime.
"Hmm....well, you remember a few weeks back when we went out for movies, you were bored and slept through the first half and looked through our photos through the second half," said Naoya.
"...I mean, I do, but seriously? That time?" asked Utahime, a bit weirded by his answer.
"Well, that was the latest iteration. Before that was probably when we were at the arcade, and you were bullying Maki and Mai at games while being teamed up with Tomoko. Before that was when we went out for drinks with everyone, and you were drunk and made Satoru eat a crap ton of chilli sauce and laughed at him. Before that was..."
Naoya kept on listing out instances to Utahime, who continued to stare at him absentmindedly.
Finally, she placed her finger on his lips.
"...You have been thinking for all this time?" asked Utahime.
Naoya gave a nod.
"Then why didn't you ask me before?"
"...Hmm....I don't know?... Today, just felt right for some reason. I mean, I've had this ring for years now, you know," said Naoya and grabbed her fingers lightly and fiddled with them.
"For years?"
Naoya nodded.
"I was making various plans, trying to go full scenic, but today just felt like it was the moment. I am ready to do the whole scenic things, too, you know. I have all these things planned and will be prepared within hours if you want those things."
Utahime looked at Naoya, who had his phone out showing various places that he had in mind.
She looked at him a bit closely. The special grade sorcerer from one of the three great clans was panicking a bit.
She suddenly smiled and hugged him.
"No....It is perfect already," replied Utahime.
Naoya looked at her, wanting to confirm if she actually meant that and was not just forcing herself not to make him feel bad.
"I swear if you give me that 'do you actually mean that' look, I will hit you," said Utahime without even looking at him and still hugging him.
"..." Naoya decided to remain silent. His lady has also picked up his bad habit of understanding him without him speaking it out loud.
"Now then, first things first. Come here," said Utahime, grabbed her phone and hugged Naoya tightly.
She then kissed her cheek and showed off the ring to the phone camera before taking their picture like that.
She checked the picture and smiled menacingly.
Naoya blinked in confusion. What was Utahime doing?
A few moments later, his phone started ringing.
Naoya looked at it.
Satoru was calling him.
Before he could say anything. Utahime snatched his phone and picked it up on his behalf.
"Sup, third wheel," said Utahime.
"You!!!!! Give the phone to Naoya!!!! I don't believe it!" yelled Satoru.
"He is here. I will put it on speaker," said Utahime and put the phone on speaker.
Naoya looked at her.
His lady was quite petty.
"Yo-"
"Call my name twice if you are being threatened to go along with it. I will come and save you in an instant," said Satoru the moment he heard Naoya's voice.
"..." Naoya didn't say anything.
That much was enough to answer Satoru's question.
"HOW COULD YOU!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?," yelled Satoru.
