Chapter 177 - Chapter 176: King Kong in the Marvel Cosmos (Second Update!)

"Yes."

Oss explained with one ear, "Demon... Skull Island is surrounded by a huge and violent storm system. If you're unfamiliar with the route, once you enter, you'll be torn apart by this storm system."

Speaking here.

One ear took a breath, alleviating the pain in his ear, then continued looking at Hawk: "Miss and Mr. Parker suspect that if the Parkers hadn't died accidentally more than ten years ago, they should be on that Skull Island."

Upon hearing this, Hawk raised an eyebrow.

"Howard Parker and Mary Parker?"

"Yes."

"Only Peter and Felicia went up?"

"Plus a team of eight soldiers. Due to the time window, according to the plan, we outside were supposed to send a month's worth of supplies that day."

"The day after we were attacked."

"The result..."

"Our people were all killed, even the modified helicopter used for transporting supplies was taken by them."

"Fortunately, they didn't touch the supplies, which is why I'm still alive."

"Otherwise..."

At this point, One Ear shook his head, feeling a bit emotional.

Then he bared his teeth, subconsciously wanting to cover his aching ear. As soon as his hand touched it, his expression contorted into a painful yell.

It looked really painful.

Didn't seem like an act.

Hawk thought to himself, and only continued asking after One Ear calmed down, taking a breath: "Where's Skull Island, point me in the direction."

Upon hearing this, One Ear took out a broken compass from his pocket, checked it, and pointed towards the east.

"Then, fly about fifty kilometers in that direction, and you'll see a huge storm system."

"The compass will malfunction there."

"This is the closest safe distance, and precisely because of that, this experimental base was built inside."

"Thank you."

Hawk thanked One Ear in front of him and then prepared to leave.

Seeing Hawk's actions, One Ear was stunned.

"Wait, when's the support coming for my ear?"

"It's here."

"Where?"

One Ear excitedly walked to the window, looking at the vast ocean outside, already night, then turned and looked at Hawk with confusion.

But...

There was no sign of Hawk anymore.

"Hiss!"

"Where is he?"

One Ear looked at the empty doorway, a chill instantly swept over him, reaching his crown, and he shivered unwittingly.

Not long after.

Hawk had already reached the giant storm system One Ear spoke about, and without pausing, plunged directly into it.

The next second.

Heaven and earth changed colors.

Rumble!

Within the giant storm system, enormous multi-colored lightning illuminated the surrounding swirling dark clouds.

Likewise, within this massive storm cloud layer, countless large vortices twisted. Even lightning was instantly torn apart when swept into them.

Hawk sped through them.

Various colored and types of lightning continued appearing around him, accompanied by a flash of red light. A thick, red lightning bolt struck directly at Hawk.

Just as the lightning was about to hit Hawk, his figure flashed in place, and he had already left the lightning behind.

He initially wanted to test if his body could resist lightning.

But at that instant, he suddenly recalled Thor summoning lightning once when on Mars, and the intense sensation of countless bolts striking him, instantly deterred him from tasting this red lightning.

After dismissing the idea of looking for a thrill, Hawk's speed resumed climbing. Soon after, he burst out of the thick storm system.

The next second.

It was as if he was in a different world.

"Wow!"

After bursting out from the dark storm system behind him, Hawk hovered silently in the air, and couldn't help exclaiming at the view before him.

In view!

The sky was blue, pure blue.

The clouds were white, snow white.

And the sea below was black, a bottomless kind of black.

Clear water is shallow, green water is deep, black water is abyssal!

However...

"That's not right."

"When I came in, it was already dark outside."

"Here..."

"Is time chaotic?"

Hawk looked at the blue sky, recalling the scene when he had just entered while it was already dark outside, he first ruled out the wrong answer of spending overnight traversing the storm clouds.

It took him less than three minutes to pass through the storm clouds.

Of that time, two minutes were spent deciding whether or not to taste the colorful lightning within the storm clouds.

But now, the sky outside was dark, while here it was daylight, which could only mean one thing.

Time here was also disturbed by the surrounding thick, massive storm system that resembled a giant donut.

As Hawk pondered, his gaze easily locked onto Skull Island as described by the one-eared man.

There really was no need to search.

Because in this vast, tranquil sea, there was only one island, and it was exactly as the one-eared man described. From a distance, the entire island indeed looked like a giant skull.

This reminded Hawk of an unusual place that existed in the Marvel Cosmos.

The Land of Nothingness.

It's said that the Land of Nothingness was formed from the skull of an ancient Celestial God, and time flow within it was also different from the outside.

So...

Could this place also be crafted from the skull of a Celestial God?

Hawk thought, as he looked at the gigantic, skull-like island not far away.

The island was covered in dense vegetation for the most part, with tall trees and intertwining vines.

In the center of the island, there seemed to be a steep peak and deep valley.

The island was also dotted with numerous peaks, with multiple waterfalls cascading down the mountain sides.

However...

Looking around, it seemed there were no signs of life on the island.

Hawk thought to himself as he adjusted his posture and flew towards Skull Island, not far away.

But just as he was about to reach the shoreline of Skull Island, suddenly, a pressure swiftly surged upon him.

In just an instant.

He felt his energy being wildly suppressed.

"Shit!"

"What the hell!"

Feeling himself about to crash, Hawk quickly veered back. After retreating from the shores of Skull Island and regaining his energy stability, he couldn't help but curse under his breath, then looked, somewhat wary, at the seemingly nondescript yet daunting Skull Island ahead.

However, he was sure the earlier sensation wasn't an illusion.

That feeling was too familiar.

Back when he was on the African Continent, during his first encounter with Mephisto. Although Mephisto didn't show up that time, even the fearful palpitations emanating from Mephisto, who projected from Hell via Hell Hulk's body, felt almost identical to what he just experienced.

It was the invisible suppression of a superior upon an inferior.

"So..."

"Is this Skull Island really the skull of a true god?"

Thoughts racing, Hawk stood uncertainly outside Skull Island, looking at the once seemingly ordinary, but now infinitely mysterious Skull Island.

To be honest, he didn't really want to go in.

A gentleman does not stand under a dangerous wall.

He couldn't quite decipher the mysteries of this bizarre Skull Island. What if there truly was danger inside? Though he wouldn't face death but only Nirvana.

But the pain of Nirvana was still unpleasant.

Even the Phoenix itself, everyone knew that after rebirth, it could increase its combat power significantly, but nobody ever saw Phoenix engagin in a fight start by Nirvana first.

Just then,

A sudden roar rang out.

The next second.

Suspended silently, standing outside Skull Island, Hawk heard a rustling from the dense forest below, followed by a huge tree seemingly uprooted by something, then roaring like a meteorite, hurling towards him.

"Well, I'll be damned!"

"Certainly an expert here."

Seeing this, Hawk thought to himself, then swung his right fist.

Boom!

Beneath the force of the Supersonic Fist, the fist raced forth with a howl, but the moment it entered the domain of Skull Island, its speed plummeted to that of an ordinary Sound Speed Fist. Nevertheless, it still pulverized the incoming giant tree into endless wood chips.

In an instant, the endless wood chips fell like rain, instantly dyeing the forest below a pale yellow hue.

Meanwhile--

Hawk also saw what creature had just hurled the giant tree at him.

But as he looked down at the creature standing amidst the rainforest, his expression froze.

Standing about thirty to thirty-two meters tall, with a massive, breath-stifling physique, possessing enormously developed and terrifying shoulder and back muscles, covered in rough, dark fur, resembling a gorilla but with a stance much closer to human upright walking, a terrifying creature appeared in front of Hawk.

"This is..."

Hawk saw the enormous, terrifying, gorilla-like creature, his expression visibly shifting from initial curiosity to astonishment, and finally to confusion, "King Kong?"

Jesus Christ, God.

What the hell is King Kong doing here?

How did King Kong end up in the Marvel Cosmos?

Wait a moment.

Wasn't there a special issue that supposedly depicted the Avengers battling King Kong (there really is such a comic, and even one about the Avengers battling the Transformers, too, which I've been hesitating whether to add in as well).

As Hawk thought about it, he involuntarily inhaled sharply upon spotting the suddenly revealed King Kong ahead.

The next second.

Standing on the island's dense forest, the King Kong with eyes emanating both wisdom and responsibility, looked at Hawk, suspended outside his home, who had recently released a terrifying aura, and opened his arms wide, letting out an angry roar facing the intruder trying to invade his home.

"Roar!"

"Get out, leave my home!"

"…"
