A dazzling light burst forth from the activated Trap Card, and a brilliant galaxy swirled beneath Starliege Photon Blast Dragon's feet. Starliege Photon Blast Dragon roared, then leaped alone into the galaxy.
"Where the light of the galaxy guides, the gate to a new world is about to open. Appear! A new Avatar of Light! Rank-Up Xyz Change! Descend! Rank 8! Galaxy-Eyes Heavy Armor Photon Dragon!"
Moments later, a giant dragon clad in black heavy armor spread its wings within the galaxy, roaring as it forced the menacing mechanical ninja to retreat.

"A Rank-Up during Battle?" Gongenzaka frowned, looking at the suddenly appearing heavy-armored giant dragon. "Then, Superheavy Samurai Big Benkei attacks Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon!"
The mechanical ninja's attack was unsuccessful, and Gongenzaka immediately turned his gaze to the Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon, which only had 3000 ATK.
As Gongenzaka's voice fell, the heavily armored general swung his long spear and charged towards Galaxy-Eyes.

Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon roared, shooting brilliant light from between its wings towards the charging armored warrior. Then, it took the armored warrior with it to the Different Dimension.
It was at this moment that a timing appeared on both their Duel Disks. This was the timing for the effect of Superheavy Samurai Shadow Magician in Gongenzaka's Graveyard, which activates when Superheavy Samurai Big Benkei becomes the target of a monster effect.

"The effect of Galaxy-Eyes Afterglow Dragon in my hand activates! If a 'Galaxy-Eyes' monster exists on my field, Special Summon this card!"

A brilliant star river rose in the sky. Two giant dragons flew into it, one after another, and a rainbow of light instantly burst forth.

Kaito ignored the Female Commentator's compliments and kept pondering Gongenzaka's unknown timing. "He didn't react to my Galaxy-Eyes Afterglow Dragon's effect, so it's not a counter to monster effects?"
"Then," Kaito's D-Wheel's Duel Disk, from the Extra Deck slot, ejected a card.
"This card can also be Xyz Summoned by overlaying it onto a Rank 8 'Galaxy-Eyes' Xyz Monster on the field."
"I Overlay Galaxy-Eyes Lightwave Dragon again! O Light Dragon, dwelling with the Vengeful Fiend! Return, clad in your Blade Spear, and clear away my obstacles! Rank-Up Xyz Change! Rank 9! Galaxy-Eyes Lightwave Blade Dragon!"
The brilliant galaxy reappeared, and various sharp weapons formed from light flew out, fully armoring Galaxy-Eyes Lightwave Dragon. Black lightning continuously swirled around the sharp blades.

The phantom of Superheavy Samurai Shadow Magician appeared next to Superheavy Samurai Big Benkei. Facing the volley of blades and cannon fire, it formed a hand seal, and an arcane shield appeared around Superheavy Samurai Big Benkei, rebounding everything.

"Kaito's monster was destroyed by this effect, does he have any other means to break through Gongenzaka's defense line? Eh?" As the Female Commentator spoke, she froze in place.
For no other reason than that from the spot where Galaxy-Eyes Lightwave Blade Dragon was shattered by the reflected cannons, seven-colored light rose again.
