Chapter 25 - Counterattack against Shimura Danzo

"Do you want to save the Uchiha Clan?"

Takeshi was stunned for a moment and asked, "What does that mean?"

"You should know about the Third Hokage sending the Uchiha Clan to battle this time, right?"

"Yes, I just found out."

"From my understanding of Hiruzen Sarutobi, he definitely wants the Uchiha Clan to charge into battle first, and then he will reap the benefits. While winning this war, he also wants to weaken the Uchiha Clan's strength."

At this point, Danzo Shimura revealed a look of certainty:

"You should also be very clear that the Konoha higher-ups are very wary of the Uchiha Clan."

I'll believe your nonsense!

Takeshi thought to himself, isn't it you who is most wary of and hostile towards us Uchiha?

Directly annihilating the Uchiha Clan just to obtain their powerful Sharingan—only you, Danzo, could do such a heinous thing.

"But don't worry, as long as you are willing to submit to me, I can promise you that I will protect the Uchiha Clan for you."

"No need."

"Good, then… wait, what did you say?"

Danzo Shimura only reacted halfway through his sentence and was instantly dumbfounded, looking at Takeshi in disbelief.

"I don't trust you, so no need."

Are you kidding? If you trust someone who only prioritizes their own interests, you're just waiting for death.

For example, during the Five Kage Summit when the Ninja Alliance Commander was being chosen, Mifune of the Land of Iron had already intended to recommend him, but Danzo still wanted to use Kotoamatsukami to control him.

The reason was simply that Danzo was afraid the plan would be leaked, so he wanted to place a cursed seal on all his subordinates.

With such a suspicious, cunning, and cautious person, if you try to be sincere with him, he will stab you in the back; it's a common occurrence.

Takeshi could guess without thinking that the reason this old schemer, Danzo, was so persistent with him was probably because of his medical research achievements in bloodline disease and Bloodline Limit.

Danzo wanted to transplant the Uchiha Clan's Sharingan without any side effects.

Currently, he hadn't considered using hashirama cells to neutralize the Sharingan, so naturally, the first person he thought of was Takeshi, an expert who could treat bloodline disease.

After all, the Uchiha Clan's Sharingan is also a type of Bloodline Limit.

I am from the Uchiha Clan and also a Bloodline medical expert, so naturally, he would want me to help him.

Heh heh… he wants me, an Uchiha, to transplant the Uchiha Clan's Sharingan for him.

This old man really dares to dream!

Danzo Shimura's face turned from green to white with anger; he didn't expect Takeshi to be so unappreciative.

"Do you know who I am?"

"Pot Hokage."

"???"

"Oh, sorry, it just slipped out. What I mean is, it doesn't matter who you are, because your strength, to me, is simply not enough."

Takeshi laid his cards on the table, no longer intending to continue the conversation.

Things were already very clear.

Even if the Uchiha Clan's participation in the war wasn't Danzo's idea, he was at least secretly pushing for it.

The goals were one, to get him, and two, to get the Uchiha Clan's Sharingan.

Takeshi naturally couldn't fulfill this guy's wishes.

"What did you say!?"

Danzo's voice was filled with anger; although he tried his best to suppress it, he was clearly no longer as calm and composed as before.

"This is the first time anyone has called me weak. Do you know that my strength is even greater than Hiruzen Sarutobi's!"

He said through gritted teeth.

"Then that only means Hiruzen Sarutobi's strength is nothing special either."

Danzo didn't expect Takeshi to be so arrogant. He subconsciously clenched his fist, intending to give him a taste of his power.

But the next second, he was startled.

"Mangekyo Sharingan!?"

"Oh?"

Takeshi was surprised:

"I didn't expect Lord Danzo to know so much about the Uchiha Clan's Sharingan. You know, many people within our Uchiha Clan don't even know about this eye."

The Mangekyo Sharingan with the time gear pattern slowly rotated in Takeshi's eyes, exuding a powerful, invisible pressure that made Danzo instantly break out in a cold sweat.

"Let me guess how you knew. Hmm, is it because of Kagami?"

Danzo subconsciously widened his eyes.

"It seems you must have witnessed the terror of his eyes."

Takeshi's fingers tapped on the table unhurriedly, making a tapping sound.

"As far as I know, Uchiha Kagami suddenly disappeared at a certain point in time, and even his body was not found. You know, with Uchiha Kagami's strength, it would be very difficult for him to be killed silently. But if he were still alive, why has there been no news of him until now?"

"Then there's only one possibility: he was killed by someone he trusted. Don't you agree, Lord Danzo?"

Danzo's face instantly twisted, and he slammed the table, "Nonsense!"

"Whether it's nonsense or not, I'm sure Lord Danzo knows better than I do."

Immediately after he finished speaking, Takeshi could clearly feel a strong killing intent, like an icy, bone-chilling tide, surging towards him.

Danzo had already decided to kill him!

Heh heh… with his amateur skills, he wants to kill me?

Takeshi couldn't help but sneer. His Mangekyo Sharingan spun wildly, and he glared fiercely.

Danzo's pupils instantly widened.

"Damn it! Co…"

Before he could finish speaking, the next second, Danzo immediately stiffened in place, as if electrocuted, his legs kicking and his body rigid.

Silence fell over the room.

Takeshi didn't kill him; he merely trapped him in a time genjutsu, letting him experience the long agony of time passing like years.

To be honest, he really wanted to kill Danzo.

After all, this old man was just too much.

At least half of Konoha's tragedies were caused by this guy, directly leading to a talent vacuum in Konoha and a sharp drop in overall strength.

As a result, when the Nine-Tailed was released, there wasn't even a single Ninja who could fight.

Minato Namikaze even had to seal the Nine-Tailed at the cost of his life.

If Sakumo Hatake hadn't been forced to die, Orochimaru hadn't defected, Jiraiya hadn't left, and Tsunade hadn't developed hemophobia.

There would have been no need for Minato Namikaze to seal it, and Kushina wouldn't have died.

Therefore, Danzo, this unstable factor, was a must-kill for Takeshi, but not now.

At least not in the Village.

After all, he couldn't guarantee whether Hiruzen Sarutobi, that old fox, was currently watching with his telescope jutsu.

You know, Hiruzen Sarutobi was the longest-serving Hokage in the original story.

How could his calculations be clean?

They were all cunning old foxes!

It was impossible for him to have no precautions against Danzo extending Root members into Anbu.

The reason he indulged Danzo was entirely due to their so-called bond.

Takeshi still needed to stay in the Village to enhance Kushina's bloodline.

Now was not the time to flip all the tables…
