Chapter 31 - Chapter 4: The Unexpected Meeting

The clone and Kael stood outside the designated meeting room, the fluorescent lights above flickering like a warning signal. The clone's heart pounded in their chest as they steeled themselves for the encounter. Aria's message had been cryptic, but the clone knew better than to underestimate her.

"Let's get this over with," Kael said, their voice low and even, a hand resting on the grip of their gun.

The clone nodded, pushing open the door. Aria sat in the center of the room, her piercing gaze locked onto them like a predator zeroing in on its prey. The clone felt a shiver run down their spine as they approached her.

"Ah, Clone," Aria said, her voice dripping with honey and venom. "I'm glad you could make it."

The clone's eyes narrowed, their hand instinctively curling into a fist. "What do you want, Aria?"

Aria's smile was a thin-lipped line, her eyes glinting with amusement. "I think it's time we had a little chat about your... potential."

The clone exchanged a wary glance with Kael, but Aria's words sparked a spark of curiosity within them. What did she mean? What secrets was she hiding?

"I'm listening," the clone said, their voice neutral, but their mind racing with possibilities.

Aria leaned forward, her eyes glinting with a sinister light. "You're more than just a clone, my dear. You're a key. A key to unlocking the secrets of our organization... and perhaps even your own destiny."

The clone's eyes locked onto Aria's, their mind racing with questions. What secrets was she hiding? What lay beyond the surface of their creation? The clone's determination hardened into steel. They would uncover the truth, no matter what it took.

"Tell me more," the clone said, their voice low and even, a sense of anticipation building within them.

Aria's smile grew wider, her eyes flashing with excitement. "Oh, I think we have a lot to discuss, Clone. A lot to discuss indeed."

The clone leaned forward, their eyes locked onto Aria's, the air thick with tension as they waited for her next words.
