After getting away from the bridge they went to a store that had a meal stand and max decided to make meals.
He wasn't an professional by any means but thanks to Micheal teaching him the basics he knows enough to make a decent meal.
After serving each individual their meals they started to talk about what to do.
Harley: so the bridge failed miserably and we have two live bombers who can blow up if they go off limits.
Max: In conclusion. We are stuck.
Harley: not everyone.
Yuta and Komaru glared at Harley for that comment.
Max: harl quit it.
Harley: hey I'm just saying.
Yuta: not funny.
Toko: anyway the crazy chick aside what are we actually going to do? We can't escape without risking Komaru and yuta blowing up. So what can we do?
Max was about to answer that but he sensed someone was watching them and he turned to see some kids watching them.
Max: looks like we know what we should do.
The others then noticed the kids watching them and yuta gave them a stink eye understandably why.
Yuta: can we really trust them? They might lead us into a trap.
Max: obviously not. these kids are literally holding a gun to your heads so I suggest we play along or we risk on of you going kaboom.
Komaru: stop I don't want to think about it.
Harley: if any of you actually die I'll make sure your graves are nicely decorated.
Everyone looked at Harley after that comment and she looked back.
Harley: what? The likely hood of these two is roughly 40%. I got lucky with a bomb on me because the prick who gave it to me was so up his own ass.
Toko: that's not exactly helpful.
Max: let's go when we are done with the food also Harley make one more comment like that and your gonna starve next time.
All she did in response was roll her eyes and continue eating.
After they were done they made their way to where the kid was leading them to a hatch below the hotel they first met the had to find a key to open it.
While looking for it yuta grabbed a pipe to use it as a weapon of his own to defend himself from any monokumas.
Of course max could break the metal door.
but one: he didn't want to get any attention for as long as he can help it.
And two: well he didn't want to give the kids any ideas it took three days for them to take over so yeah it's not worth the risk.
After finding the key they got inside but one problem.
It was dark.
Well a minus max who was blinded by the darkness but he can sense multiple kids above and around them.
Komaru: it's so dark I can't see anything.
Yuta: anyone got a light?
Toko: none have one.
Harley: we'll have a small I idea.
They heard the sound of a gun cog back and max realizes what she was doing.
Max: no! Wai-
"BANG"
The other three who weren't aware covered their ears and received a jumpscare but the small expression of the shot lit up a bit but it disappeared when it was fired.
Toko: what the hell is wrong with you!!? Are trying to get us killed!!?
Harley: hey non us have any flashes so I did what I did and plus I aimed upwards.
Toko: that doesn't matter you psycho!! you could have just done something else instead of shooting!!
Max: both of you shut it. We aren't alone.
Before they had time to ask the lights turned on and it blinded them and when their vision adjusted they saw that kids were looking down at them from atop seats
Komaru: what in the?
A voice of a kid rang out and out came masaru who did a flip and landed on his feet.
"I'm the super duper hero of the warriors of hope masaru daimon"
Meanwhile yuta and komaru recognized masaru while max and Harley looked unimpressed.
Masaru: hey! I'm not letting you escape demons.
Toko: and who's this brat?
Komaru: he's one of them. He's one of them who put this bomb on me.
Yuta: yeah and they are keeping us from escaping.
Masaru: one of them!? Don't treat me like some background character I'm the leader of the warriors of hope! And also if we let you demons escape what's the point of the game?
Yuta: you think this is funny?
Meanwhile max and Harley were quietly having a conversation.
Harley: so that's one of the kids?
Max: yeah there's another boy with blue hair,one with a sack on his head and the others are girls one with pink hair and another with green hair and in a wheelchair.
Harley: I still can't believe that kids actually did this. But something feels weird.
Max: you and me both.
Back to the conversation.
Masaru: you better know your place demon because I'm the leader of the warriors of hope! Unlike those adults who call them selves heroes and hide like coward the real heroes are the ones who stand on the front line
The crowed cheered at his words.
Harley: so you got anything to say max?
Max: what are asking me exactly?
Harley: you know about the whole hero thing?
Max: I told you that I'm no hero I'm just a guy who gives someone he knows a hand. Not strangers.
Masaru accidentally glanced at Harley but he quickly turned his attention to max who heard talking about heroes.
Masaru: hey you black hair demon!
Max: me?
Masaru: you mentioned hero you got something to say? Actually no scratch that I bet that all the other adults you're just a coward.
Max: first of all I never nor ever call myself a hero to me those terms are just tittles and trust me I could care less about what people I don't know think of me.
Masaru: ha see you demons are all the same I'm not even suprised.
Toko: what's with the whole demon thing anyway?
Komaru: I think he's talk about all adults in general?
Masaru: yeah that's right you adults are demons the enemies of kids. That's why me and warriors of hope are gonna hunt down every last one of you. And then make a peaceful pradise just for kids in this town.
He then got out a remote and tapped it and a hatch opened to reveal corpses of male and female adults.
Yuta and Komaru was horrified by the display while Tonja was looking away.
Meanwhile Harley and max were caught off guard by the corpses but not exactly disturbed because they already had their own body counts.
Yuta: what the hell?
Komaru: are those?
Masaru: you bet they are these are all the demons I hunted down. How about it isn't it awesome it's worth one million points.
Yuta went from horified to anger at this kid's disregard for the people he killed.
Yuta: HOW COULD YOU DO THIS!!? THIS IS COMPLETELY INHUMANE!!
Masaru: shut it!! Just because they birth us and raised us they thought that they could control us all. And as a hero I hunted them down and let everyone go free.
The crowd once again cheered at this.
Komaru: how could you do- you do know that you will become adults too right!?
Masaru: that's not gonna happen. I made a promise with the warriors of hope. I made a promise with Monica. If gonna become a big ugly scary demon I would rather die as a kid.
The kids once again cheered at that.
Harley: wow that's metal as hell.
Max: not funny harl.
Masaru mean while was starting to shake and both dimensional stranders noticed.
Masaru: you see everyone loves me and they appreciate me because.. I'm their hero. If I hunt down every single demon then one would be afraid anymore and the pain… they won't.
All the sudden masaru shook with more intensity and grabbed his head like he was having a mental breakdown and he sounded scared and traumatized but more specifically.
Masaru: I'm not afraid. I'm not. Scared at all!! I don't have to be afraid of the pain and the alcohol smell. Not anymore!! I'm won't be afraid! I won't be afraid anymore. You hear me!!!?
Harley felt like she was looking in a mirror and she had flashbacks to her troubled childhood from the stings from outside and inside her body thanks to drug in her system that at first burned like hell inside her veins and it took weeks for her body to adapt to it and thanks to that she went from a prize project to a disposable daughter
and that hurt worse than the drug she was injected with.
And now watching the kid made her realize that the reasons for them doing all of this might be understandable.
As for max got the same feeling as the kid he was also betrayed by his own parents and they paid the price but he got new people to consider as family but he guessed that this kid didn't get that luxury.
Meanwhile the three just watched as Massey seemed to snapped out of his breakdown and noticed that he's shaking.
He then turned his back and started to beat at his arm to stop the shaking as a sign of weakness and fear.
Komaru tried to tell him to stop but max stopped since the kid is clearly not listening.
They just watched as masaru finally stopped and he let out a laugh it was hard to tell of what type but it's clear that it was a laugh of finally getting control of his shaking which was evident by his bruised arm.
Masaru: it. It finally. listened to me.
He once again let out a laugh but it was clear that it was to hide his pain.
Komaru: please just stop. We aren't gonna do anything to you guys and-
Harley: sorry sweetheart but I don't think I won't do anything to you card is gonna fly.
Masaru once again saw Harley and his mind as a mess as is he kept thinking that she was big sis junko but he snapped back to reality.
Masaru: you guys. You. You look like you have lanky bodies. Maybe you aren't true demons. But you are going to end up just like the other demons I can tell. And that's why I have to beat you now!! Before you turn into one!!
He raised his un injured arm and snapped his fingers.
Then one of the kids threw something kind of controller at him.
After he adjusted and pressed the button a rumble came from the ground and a drill came out of the ground and that was a hint for the group to back up.
After backing the owner was revealed to be a robot with drills for hands.
Toko: what the hell I didn't know there were robots!?
Harley: what did you think was gonna happen? That they would invite us to a tea party?
Yuta: is this really the time to argue!?
Masaru: hey!! Watch me everyone! The leader of the warriors of hope will defeat these leaderless demons in no time.
Komaru: what do we do!?
Max analyzed the robot and saw a monokuma symbol on its head and he had an idea.
Max:(hey moline keep the tin can still while a put a bullet in its heart.)
Moline:(fine lucky for anyone who isn't spiritually aware it would look like the robot it's on the Frits)
Max:(exactly why I want to restrain it I don't want to gain too much attention for now.)
Moline appeared in her snake form and she was invisible to the others or that's what they thought.
Harley can see faints specs of moline thanks to the translator tag in her wrist but she couldn't see moline completely.
Masaru: get ready die demons!! Take this super mega drill punch!!
The robot tried to move but moline was already wrapped around it but of course masaru was unaware.
Masaru: what the hell!? Why won't my hero bot move.
Yuta: it's malfunctioning what do we do?
Max: let me.
Toko: and what exactly are gonna do!? Punch it?
Max: no genius I'm gonna do this.
He took out his revolver and put one of his special bullets inside and he spun it just for the hell of it.
Toko: you had a gun!? I don't that's gonna work!
Max: of course not but my gun it's special and I suggest you back up a bit.
They backed up and Harley just watched this whole thing with an analytical eye because seeing something strange that only max seems to see clearly was getting her curiosity
and she was also curious about his gun since it doesn't look like a normal revolver.
While masaru was trying to get control of his robot max put his free hand on the head of his revolver and focused his spiritual energy into it and compressing it into the bullet.
Harley could see faints of black fire coming from max but she doesn't know what it is and this just made her more curious.
When he was done compressing his energy into the bullet he did a head motion of "move" to moline and when she let got of the robot max pulled the trigger and the bullet shot so fast that no one saw it and it pierce the robot's heart.
The kickback was so strong that It kicked up some dust and let out a massive bang that everyone close to him had to cover their ears.
After everyone regain their bearings they saw that the bullet let one massive hole on the robot and it was twitching and it got worse as it finally blew up.
Masaru couldn't believe it. He the hero and leader of the warriors of hope was beaten by a demon one who cheated non the less.
He suddenly felt pain and he grabbed his injured arm remembering that he was moving it a lot in his desperate attempts to regain control of his robot.
But his moment of pain was about to get worse because he felt like someone was behind him and when he turned he saw the monokuma headed kids about to grab him.
This was a punishment for losing the game and he unfortunately lost.
Or that would have been the case if max didn't step in the way and kicked masaru off his platform and landed on the ground.
After making sure that the kid wasn't beaten for loosing max turned back to the kids and glared at them.
Which the kids took as a sign to get out.
Max jumped down the platform and he grabbed a key from masaru's pocket.
Komaru: max. Why did you saved him?
Max: for this.
He showed the keys.
Max: I figured since he we were locked in here he must have had the keys and it looks like I was right.
And as he predicted the keys unlocked the gate and with that they walked off. But Toko had a concern.
Toko: shouldn't we do something with the brat? What if he squeals to his partners?
Max: leave him. There's no point.
The three weren't unsure but Harley just looked at max with some suspicion it's wierd that he just saved the kid from his punishment for the keys
and she already can tell the moment that they met Komaru and Toko that he has something planned.
But she stayed quiet and followed the others.
After they left masaru lifted his head and saw that they were gone and he got up.
He was confused on why that black haired demon saved him from his punishment but all he felt was anger at his savior since this not only means he lost but the demon gave him his pity.
Which obviously pissed him off.
He followed the way that the others went out and when it was cleared out he walked away to catch his thoughts.
Back with the main group.
Yuta: so with that over with. Max what exactly did you do with that gun?
Max: that's my secret.
Harley: uh huh.
Max: what's with you? You've been quiet.
Harley: nothing just thinking.
Max suddenly felt the presence of the kid nearby and he noticed that monokumas weren't roaming around as much and he got a feeling why.
Max: guys I think we should spectate for a while.
Komaru: huh? Why?
Max: didn't you notice that there's less monokumas? I got a bad feeling so I want to play it save. And we already stick out like a sore thumb with five people.
Yuta: yeah but-
Harley: I agree with maxi I learned that when things are quiet it means that it's a matter of time before shit hits the fan.
Max: and it's likely the kids are gonna amp up their game for us thanks to us defeating one of their own.
Toko: okay so who goes with who?
Max: me and Harley will be fine together. You three are fine especially with that gun Komaru has.
Toko: great so the power houses are leaving us to die.
Max: you'll be fine. Anyway we will see ya and don't die.
With that max walked in the direction of masaru with Harley following behind him.
Toko: well I can safely say that we are fucked.
Yuta: you're not helping you know?
Max and Harley were walking together but it was mostly Harley following max and she was still suspicious on what he's planning.
Max: I can tell that you are looking at with suspicion and don't worry I don't plan to backstab you and the others if anything that will bad for me.
Harley: and why's that?
Max: I'd be lonely again. Well mostly and plus I have a suspicion that this whole thing is more than it seems.
Harley: I don't know seems pretty simple to me. Kids taking over because of shitty parents.
Max: yeah that's what it looks like at first but haven't you noticed that focused more on our group instead of the take over. There's a reason why there doing it and I'm honestly don't care much but it better than wondering around doing nothing.
Harley: so what's the big plot twist you're suspect?
Max: many. Destroying the place,using the kids as a sacrifice, literally anything.
Harley: so you don't know yet?
Max: well you already know that this isn't my world so I don't really care much.
Harley raised a brow at him.
Harley: so you don't plan on saving it?
Max looked at her with a blank face.
Max: didn't I already told you that I'm not a savior or whatever and I'll only get involved if things either get out of control or when it's absolutely necessary.
Harley: hey Mack incase that you're blind people here are dead and kids are taking over with killer bear robots I think it's already out of control.
Max just scoffed at that.
Max: back in my world there's another meaning to the whole out of control thing.
He walked passed Harley and she decided to ask what's been on her mind.
Harley: you have superpowers don't you?
Max stopped and Harley was getting ready for a fight but the reason why he stopped was because he started to realize that the tag was the cause of her suspension because it has small traces of spiritual energy but it's enough for someone with an unawakened spiritual energy to see spirits and other spiritual energies.
He let out a sigh and decided to bite back.
Max: and I noticed that you have superhuman strength and agility thanks to those green veins I briefly saw on your arms.
Harley went still after and the two were ready to fight one another if they chose to attack.
But fortunately non of them did.
Max: look I won't pry about your situation and I would love it if you didn't pry into my business.
With that he continued to walking and Harley took her time to absorb those words and after a few seconds she Caught up with him.
It was quiet between the two until Harley asked something.
Harley: so that gun.
Max: it's custom made to fire special bullets.
He took out said bullets which he now had two.
Max: I better make sure not to waste the other two.
Harley: so maxi you didn't really separate from the group because you got a bad feeling did you?
Max: nope I have to make sure of something and I have a feeling that it might be a big deal.
All she did in response was raised an eyebrow.
They then went through and alleyway and when they got out they heard a scream and when they look at the direction of the scream it was masaru running away from monokumas.
Max: looks like I was right. I guess losing the game ment more than getting beat up by your followers but you get kicked out of the group completely.
Harley: I get it. So it's like getting rid of the weak ones in the gang.
They kept watching the kid running away from the monokumas and both of them kept on looking at masaru like their kid version that went through hell with no body to help them.
Both of them decided to hell with it and save the kid because it's clear that he had a valid reason to snap but it's clear that the kid was either manipulated or something else.
Because no normal kids would have the recourses to take over an entire city.
The two then looked at each.
Harley: so are we saving kid or not?
Max decided to make sure he was absolutely sure of this decision.
On one hand he has information that he has or a kid that doesn't have fate on adults.
Well he doesn't really know what's the main goal of the kids but any info is better than nothing.
Plus his own personal opinion on masaru plays a role on reminding him of himself when he was a misguided kid.
Max: sure let's go.
With masaru a few minutes before.
Masaru went to an alleyway to stay out of sight.
He then took out a small tablet to contact the warriors of hope.
And someone picked up and it was Monica.
Monica: oh hey masaru I'm actually surprised that you contacted Monica.
Masaru: well yeah. You're not gonna believe this but that black haired demon saved me.
Monica: oh.. did he?
Masaru: yeah I know anyway that black haired demon had some sort of gun that killed my robot in one shot! Can you believe it!?
Monica looked like she was thinking of something.
Monica: looks like nagisa was right about this demon and it's honestly curious.
Masaru had to do a double take on that.
Masaru: what do you mean curious!? That demon is gonna get in the way of our paradise and-
Monica: oh masaru.
I knew you were a lost cause from the beginning.
Those words struck him like a punch to the face.
Masaru: what?
Monica: let's be honest masaru you pretend you are all of that, a leader, a hero. But in reality your just a boy who pretends to be strong while being scared on the inside.
This was putting a pit in his stomach and he was on the brink of tears.
Masaru: Monica what are you talking about!? I thought we were friends!! We were-
Monica: make a paradise for children alone? Masaru use that small brain and think about this. Did you actually bothered having second thoughts about this? You didn't even think that there's another agenda? Of course you didn't.
Masaru then put the pieces together.
Masaru: you….you mean to tell me that all of this was all a lie!? Taking out the adults,the paradise, was all a lie?
Monica: mmmm. I technically didn't lie to you. You have your paradise. But remind me who was the one who kept hunting demons?
Masaru: that's-
Monica: you weren't satisfied were you? Dispite already having your paradise you kept hunting demons non stop.
Masaru was suddenly felt a chill at her next words.
Oh by the way you are out of warriors of hope.
Masaru: huh!?
Monica: well there's has to be some punishment for failing right? Well the kids beating you up was gonna be your punishment while they would lock you up in a room.
She then had a manic smile and that sent fear all around his body.
But I guess you'll have run like a demon. Bye bye.
With that the call ended. masaru tried calling the other warriors of hope but he was cut off from the network completely.
He couldn't believe it all of his hard work was all for nothing and he was thrown out like trash like his parents always called him worthless and beat him with bottles.
He started to shake but this was worst because this trigger his trauma his un injured arm.
But he didn't want to be scared so he punch the wall behind him hard enough to make his knuckles bleed and he broke some bones.
However he didn't care. But that was a mistake.
He heard steps and it was revealed to be monokumas instead of relief he felt fear and rightfully so because one of them got out their claws and rushed at him.
Luckily thanks to his talent of being the little p.e he managed to get out of the way of the slash and made a ran for it while monokumas chased him.
He didn't know how much times he had to ran for his life but one things was obvious he was running out of stamina.
And it was evident because there were a bunch of monokumas chasing him.
Unfortunately he tripped and landed on his injured arm and he let out a yell of pain.
However this was beneficial for the monokumas one leaped in the air and was about to stab him with its claws and masaru was bracing for the end.
However much to his shock max came out of no where and kicked the monokuma away while the mid section of said monokuma was crushed thanks to the force of his kick.
Masaru couldn't believe that this same demon saved him twice however a monokuma was coming to the side but before it could land a hit on max it was shot down.
He once again turned to his savor and to his ever growing shock it was the junko look alike girl.
Harley: hey asshole can you not run so damn fast?
Max: hey I had to act or the kid without have died. So sorry.
Max turned to masaru and made eye contact.
Max: don't get the wrong idea I have my own agenda for you.
He thought that masaru would give him a glare and or say that he doesn't need their help but he was meet with fear instead which confused him.
Harley: you are not good with kids are you?
Max: bite me. I would have thought that he would have say that he doesn't need our help.
Another monokuma tried to claw at Harley but she got out her bat and swung it sending it flying to other monokumas.
Harley: we deals with these bears and then we talk to the kid. How about it?
Max got out his gun and aimed at an incoming monokuma and fired.
And a black energy blast like a bullet pierced the head of the bear and it feel with its down out of commission.
Harley watched and she was curious because she remembered the special bullets he had and she didn't see him load it.
Harley: I thought you needed bullets for that?
Max: i only need the bullets for massive damage. No let's stop talking.
Harley whatever.
She got out her pistols and both started to rain fire at the hoard of monokumas meanwhile masaru was watched gawking at how easly these demons were destroying the monokumas.
However two monokumas were coming to the sides and each the two shooters tilted their heads and they fired destroying the sides monokumas.
After dealing with them they went back to shooting down the hoard.
Harley had a smirk showing that she was enjoying the adrenaline in her veins.
Harley: you know it's kinda fun having someone watching my back while gunning down robot bears.
Max: it won't be for long the moment we have an opening let's buck it with the kid. Also your running out of ammo.
As he predicted her bullets ran out and she had to reload.
Max: duck.
She didn't question it and ducked down as max kicked a monokuma that was coming at her.
While she ducked down she took out two magazines and loaded into her two pistols.
Harley: thanks maxi.
They kept at firing however more and more monokumas keep showing up.
Harley: hey max it's just me or do they keep showing up?
Max: no I can see it.
He look at masaru and he noticed something sticking out of his pocket and he got an idea.
Max: but I think I know why.
He quickly took his gun away and he picked Harley over his shoulder and masaru over his arm and made a run for it.
Harley: hey what gives!?
Masaru: let go of me demon!!
Max: if you wanna die kid be my guests.
Harley kept on firing but she was mostly questioning what max was planning.
Harley: hey max what are planning!?
Max: brace yourselves.
However they didn't understand and why but max wasn't in a hurry to clarify why.
He gathered spiritual energy on his body but mostly on his legs and they went into overdrive.
Harley for her part felt a warm feeling and the feeling made her feel alien.
When max stomped on the ground he started to run faster than any normal human and Harley could see the world becoming a fast blur but she can still process what's going on.
However masaru felt like he was on a roller coaster.
Meanwhile max who was running to make some distance saw some tall buildings and he thought that they were good enough.
He slowed down an he made a minor power jump kicked off the buildings to get to the tallest one.
When he got there he let go of Harley and masaru.
Harley who was still a bit in shock and she gawked at max who was looking out the edge.
Harley: max. What the hell are you?
Max didn't respond because he saw the monokuma he left in the dust going to their location.
He then looked at masaru who was gawking at max with a bit of fear and it got worse max got close.
Masaru: no stay away from me!!
In masaru's point of view max looked ready to beat him and he raised his damaged arms at a feeble attempt to protect himself.
However max didn't pay attention to masaru's fear of him instead he grabbed the tablet and he turned it on and as he thought the screen was blinking red like an alarm.
Harley shook of her shock and looked over his shoulder and realized it too.
Harley: a tracking signal that's why those bears kept appearing.
Max walked over to the edge and raised the table and slammed it into his knee and broke it.
And looks like his theory was right because monokumas stopped and roamed about but all the sudden they started dancing and kids joined in.
Harley: ok. that is wierd even for me.
Max: no kidding.
The two then turned to masaru who was still sitting on the ground with fear.
The two then approached him and he crawled until he hit a wall and he got up trying to look fearless but it was obvious that he was scared.
Masaru: I'm not dying with out a fight demons!! I'm not scared of you!! You hear me!!?
He ran towards max and tired to throw a punch but max simply moved to the side.
Masaru irritated continued to attack max with no result.
Max would have fought back but if he was being honest masaru it's a normal kid in terms of normalcy no powers no enhancement nothing.
So it would be overkill to beat up a kid especially since he already seemed to gone through abusive parents.
After a few seconds of pointless flailing masaru was tired and it didn't help that his arm hurt and his fingers were a bit broken he was tired.
Harley was off to the side keeping an eye on max incase he did something stupid.
She's not the most sane of people but that doesn't mean she's a monster especially to kids.
Masaru tired ran at him again but his body finally gave out and he passed out due to fatigue.
Before he could hit the ground max caught him by the back of the shirt.
Harley: so just curious but why didn't you fight back?
Max looked at him like she was stupid.
Max: do you really expect me to fight a kid?
Harley just shrugged.
Harley: I can't read minds genius. So excuse me for asking.
Max in response just rolled his eyes and he gave him a piggy back ride.
Harley however thought back to Max's unnatural speed and she was done with the secrets because there's no way max isn't some lab accident like her.
Harley: max out with it. What the hell are you? Are some sort of… I don't know super soldier?
Max stopped at that and he turned to her and he decided since Harley wants to know it's only fair that she shares her own secrets he can be the only tattletale.
Max: I'll tell you. On one condition.
Harley already knew where this was going.
Harley: if you're asking to blow you are out your goddamn-
Max: not!!! What the hel- no what do you take me for!? I'm not some horn dog?
Harley was taken aback by his outburst and the more she thought about max's character so far she quickly realized that max unlike other guys has more standard than other males.
Harley: well I guess that you're not that kind guy. Well even if you did I would have put a bullet in your skull.
Max raised an eyebrow.
Max: you with what bullet?
At that Harley looked stupefied and she looked at her gun and she saw that the magazine was completely empty.
She then glared at max.
Harley: how do you know that I was out?
Max: I kept count. Anyway. My condition was that I share my secrets and in return you tell me yours.
Harley: and why did you think I'll tell you?
Max: you were the one who asked me first and I didn't say anything about your green veins.
At that Harley had no rebuttal and she thought about but more she thought about she realized that max might actually be the only person that's she learned to trust despite only meeting within only god knows how long.
And not to mention both of them were from different dimensions or universes.
Harley let out a sigh and she couldn't believe that she was actually doing this.
This was one lesson she learned from her life experience don't trust anyone.
But then again this wasn't Gotham.
Harley: fine I'll bite I tell you my secrets and you yours.
Max: alright. But first we gotta find somewhere to stay and take care of this kid.
With that Harley and max went to find a place to cool down.
With both of them about share their secrets however Harley is hesitant but she can't back out now.
