" Filch , have you been interested in him?"
Hearing footsteps behind him , Albert turned his head in the direction of the sound. Seeing Fred and George returning to the secret passage, he asked if they had managed to keep Filch occupied on the other floors .
"It's over!" Fred raised his hand in a gesture of approval and grinned mischievously.
George explained the situation on behalf of his brother:"Someoneseveral fertilizer bombs into the hallway on the west side of the second floor, and another smeared frog brains on the walls. Filch is now cleaning up the mess while cursing."
"Are you sure 'someone' wasn't talking about you?" Lee Jordan joked , glancing at Fred and George . He was convinced those two were responsible for this mischief; the twins had caused Filch quite a bit of trouble .
Fred and George had indeed thrown the fertilizer bombs .
Albert's original plan wasfor Fred and George to throwseveral fertilizer bombs into the hallway to distractFilch , so that when they entered the forbidden corridor on the fourth floor, the guard wouldn't suddenly appear and cause trouble.
"I swear, it definitely wasn't us." Fred said displeasedly, thinking Lee Jordan's suspicion was a doubt about their character .
"You can't slander us," George said seriously, "Actually, we wanted to, but someone got there first."
Lee Jordan suddenly didn't want to talk to them.
"Quick, go inside and see what's going on in the forbidden corridor. God knows when Filch will arrive." Fred no longer wanted to talk about the previous subject.
"Is anyone near the forbidden corridor on the fourth floor?" George looked at Albert , who was holding a map of the looters' hideout and wasn't very talkative .
"Yes, quite a few people. When you saw someone distracting Filch , you should have known someone wanted to get in." Albert slipped the looters' map into his pocket . "Many people are wondering what's going on in the forbidden corridor on the fourth floor."
"So what are we going to do?" The three of them looked at Albert , waiting for his decision.
"What are we going to do? Of course, we'll go inside with everyone else, and if things don't go as planned, we'll sneak out." Albert stepped out of the secret passage and called the three others to follow him. The four headed towards the forbidden corridor on the fourth floor.
They also encountered Professor Quirrell halfway through their journey . The Defence Against Dark Arts Professor was also likely looking for a way to bypass Cerberus .
However , Albert couldn't find Tom Riddle's name on the raider map . Obviously, Lord Voldemort, in his semi-dead state, couldn't possibly be shown on a raider map .
This had already been confirmed by Albert on the second day of school through the looters' map .
It's a good thing it didn't happen, otherwise Fred and George definitely would have noticed, and who knows what those two would have thought!
Could Professor Quirrell have a pet named Tom Riddle ?
Why a pet?
They already had a cat named Tom at their home .
Of course, even if Lord Voldemort were to come to Hogwarts , the Marauders' Map would show Tom Riddle , not Lord Voldemort directly .
Albert didn't cast the Disappointment Spell on everyone. He knew Professor Quirrell was watching them, and getting caught while hiding would have been even stranger. It was better for them to pretend... in fact, all four of them were genuinely curious students.
Quirrell knew many students were entering the forbidden corridor on the fourth floor, but he had no intention of stopping them.He had already checkedthe first barrier protecting the Philosopher's Stone on the first day.
As for the three-headed dog, Quirrell had yet to determine its owner.
At Hogwarts School , besides Professor Silvanus Kettleburn, the Care of Magical Creatures , who possessed the ability to tame suchthe only other person capable of doing so was the burly Hagrid in the gamekeeper's hut .
In fact, Quirrell's abilities naturally allowed him to defeat Cerberus , but he temporarily refrained from acting because he was worried about making too much noise, as perhaps he only had one chance. If he failed, Dumbledore wouldn't give him another.
As Albert approached Professor Quirrell ,he sensed a strange smell emanating from him.
He suspected the smell was most likely coming from Lord Voldemort's possession of Quirrell .
After Professor Quirrell walked away , Fred whispered, "Did you noticethe strange smell coming from that large turban on Professor Quirrell's head ?"
Last time the classroom smelled of garlic, so no one noticed, but this time it was different; the smell coming from that headscarf was really strong.
George said without thinking,"Perhaps the turban is stuffed with garlic. Why don't we try selling Professor Quirrell a garlic cross?"
"That's a good idea," Fred agreed .
Albert's mouth twitched.
Everyone said that Professor Quirrell had coated his entire body with a strange scent to ward off a vampire he'd encountered in Romania , fearing the vampire would return and bother him . This way, he was always prepared for vampires .
This claim was most likely unfounded, merely an excuse Quirrell had made up for himself.
As for how to deal with Lord Voldemort , is there stillno savior ? Harry Potter ?
If it really became necessary, he could give Albert Potter a subtle hint and prompt the passionate rescuer to step forward.
As the four of them moved silently, they noticed some people already loitering suspiciously. Undoubtedly, these individuals were looking for an opportunity to quickly pass through that door.
"I think Professor Quirrell definitely knows what they're trying to do!!" Fred couldn't help but complain, pointing to the few people in front of him.
There was no other way; it was too obvious, and the flaw was visible at a glance.
" Even Professor Quirrell isn't stopping them." Lee Jordan looked at Albert in astonishment .
"Actually, Headmaster Dumbledore doesn't really care if others enter the so-called Forbidden Zone; otherwise, he would have placed a more powerful protective spell on that door, and then no student could have opened it."
"You are right!"
Albert walked over to Truman , patted him lightly on the shoulder, andsaid "You'll discover that forbidden corridor too."
"Ah! It's Albert , you scared me!" Truman turned around and involuntarily breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Albert .
"This won't do!" Albert quipped , "You're a Hufflepuff! " " The student representatives are actually planning to take the lead in breaking school rules."
"Aren't you here?" Truman smiled, glancing at the door, and said to Albert , "Everyone's very curious about what's going on in the forbidden zone. Someone's already gotten in."
" I heard Filch is very angry upstairs . Your 'favors'?"
" The older students in Gryffindor kicked them out. I even saw it myself back then." Truman said this with a touch of guilt, because he himself had convinced Peeves to do the frog brain graffiti .
Of course, Truman wouldn't tell anyone; he would pretend he knew nothing.
He counted the people and said to Albert , "With so many people, if we all go in together, it's very easy to be noticed."
" As long as Filch isn't here , the school's professors aren't very interested in this matter. Otherwise, how do you think they opened that door?"
Albert began gesturingto Fred and the others to enter the forbidden corridor.
