Trudging out of the locker room to begin period three, Blair gave Bordy a tap on the ass with his stick. The only time hitting another man with a meter-long piece of graphite was an act of endearment.
The Breakers came out roaring in the third, much to the delight of the sell-out home crowd.
Four minutes into the period, Blair's line forced a turnover that left them in a great spot. Forechecking aggressively, Blair managed to snag the puck and carry it up past center ice before Los Angeles could even react. He had one man on his tail and Nikita driving in hard up the wing.
The defender was closer to him than to Nikita, so Blair passed sideways, then gunned for the net. His hockey sense told him Nikita would shoot and he wanted to be there to catch the rebound.
