Lua had been on a work call, his laptop perched on the kitchen counter. Aki hovered behind him, arms crossed, tailing him like a little shadow.
"Lua," she said, voice suspiciously soft. "Who was that on the phone?"
"It was just a client, Aki," he said, still typing.
"Client? Hmm… a female client?"
"Yes… but nothing important."
Aki narrowed her eyes. Her hands flew to her hips, a tiny scowl forming. "Nothing important? And you weren't smiling? Or laughing? Or flirting? Huh?"
Lua froze, trying not to laugh at her theatrics. "Aki, calm down. I was just talking about numbers."
"NUMBERS?" she shrieked dramatically, flopping onto the counter, bumping his shoulder. "Are you telling me you care more about numbers than me?!"
Lua leaned back, smirking. "Aki… you're ridiculous."
She pouted, stamping her foot. "Ridiculous? I'm your wife! You're mine, all mine, do you understand?!"
Lua finally laughed and pulled her into a hug. "I know, kitten. Calm down, I'm all yours."
Aki's eyes sparkled, and she nuzzled him possessively. "Good. Don't forget it."
Lua smiled, muttering, "I could get used to being constantly interrogated by a jealous, adorable wife…"
