I stood there, trying to piece the dots. When did he meet her? And how long had he been trailing her? I was desperately trying to gather my thoughts correctly.
Adrien watched me closely, waiting for me to say something.
"Go back to the warehouse," I said finally.
Adrien frowned. "You want to question him again? We could push harder…"
"No. Let him go."
Adrien blinked. "Let him go?"
"There's no point holding him anymore," I said quietly.
"He already gave us the only name he knew. And now we know who's really behind it." I let out a slow breath.
"Pedro was playing with us tonight. Keeping that man won't change anything now."
Adrien nodded slowly. "I'll take care of it."
I gave a small nod back and slipped my phone into my pocket. My heart was still beating fast, but at least Serena was safe.
I headed upstairs. The hallway was quiet.
When I got closer to the bedroom, I heard water running. I knew she was in the bathroom.
