I tried to keep my eyes on the movie, but it wasn't working. Not even a little. Serena was sitting right beside me, relaxed against my side, her legs tucked under her, her plate half-balanced on her lap. The lighting in the room was dim but it uniquely outlined her features—the color of her cheeks. the fullness of her lips, the way her hair fell over her face every time she moved, everything.
These past few days, I have been thinking so hard. I needed a permanent solution to the whole Pedro and Vanessa situation and the only reasonable option wasn't really looking good.
On the other hand, I could track Pedro down somehow and finish him off but I had a feeling he already had a plan in mind if something were to happen to him. Vanessa wasn't going to be an easy kill either. I wasn't worried about them coming for me, I was worried about Serena.
