"Nice." Leon Ragnell gave a small nod, then said, "Follow me."
Tony Stark and Dr. Yinsen traded a look, then obediently fell in behind Leon.
Meanwhile, the terrorists outside had realized something was wrong. A larger squad surged into the cave, weapons raised, eyes wary.
Leon's lips curled into a cold smile. "fodder."
He drew a breath—then focused.
Prince's Barrage (Renzoku Energy Dan).
Beads of ki erupted from his palms like a torrent.
The cave flared as bright as day.
Tony squinted instinctively. When he blinked the glare away, he found himself staring at silence—
and carnage.
Every terrorist had been blasted to paste.
"I—I…" Tony was stunned.
Just what kind of monster was this man?
Boom!
A violent report echoed. Tony's face changed at once. "No—Jericho missile!"
His own design.
He knew exactly what it could do: a massive initial blast, followed by a storm of needle-fine shrapnel. Even if the explosion didn't kill you, those hair-thin shards would burrow into your body and make life a waking hell.
The car battery lashed to Tony's chest was there to magnetically stall those shards—keep them out of his bloodstream.
"Down!"
Leon barked the order.
Tony and Yinsen hit the floor. Leon crossed his forearms—then flung them wide.
"Ha!"
A terrifying wave of ki erupted out. The missile hadn't even reached him before the pressure blew it back.
And then came an earth-shaking explosion.
When Tony finally processed what he was seeing, he was dumbstruck.
It was… bright as morning.
No—that wasn't it.
An entire mountain face had been planed flat by Leon's ki.
This…
This…
Tony and Yinsen stared at one another, disbelief swimming in their eyes.
Is he even human?
A power level of 1,000 is nothing in the Dragon Ball world—less than a mutt by the roadside.
But a power level of 1,000 in Marvel? Top of the food chain.
The remaining terrorists gaped, weapons limp at their sides. A few dropped to their knees outright, as if witnessing a god.
Leon, of course, wasn't in a charitable mood.
"Dodon Ray."
Purple lances screamed from his fingertips.
He didn't even step forward; the beams stitched the air, felling every last gunman in an instant.
"He—he's an alien, right?" Tony blurted, suddenly noticing the tail curled around Leon's waist. Humans didn't have tails.
…
…
"Area cleared."
Leon rolled his shoulders, then glanced back at Tony. "You need a transmitter built—to bring your people here?"
Tony nodded at once. "No problem."
Genius was genius. On the science front, he had zero trouble knocking together a signal transmitter in short order. After that, all they needed was patience.
"Mr. Leon, are you… from outer space?" Tony hesitated, then couldn't help asking.
"Strictly speaking, I'm not even sure. If you insist on calling it that, then… sure." Leon smiled, unbothered. "Our world's not so different from yours."
Tony frowned, ready to press, but Leon waved him off. "Don't ask what you shouldn't. Besides the five percent of Stark Industries, I also need you to set me up with a legal identity. As far as this world's concerned, I don't exist."
He paused, then added, "And I want a full AI suite. No backdoors. No cute loopholes. Don't assume I won't notice. I'm a scientist too."
Tony drew a breath. "Understood."
Leon nodded.
This was Marvel, and while he could solve most current problems with raw force…
He still needed to power up.
Marvel was full of good stuff.
Infinity Stones, the Gauntlet, the Beyonders, the TVA, Eternity, Death, the Living Tribunal, OAA, and so on.
Could Buu's cells… absorb some of those?
He glanced at Tony, calculating.
In this timeline, the Space Stone should be in S.H.I.E.L.D. hands, right?
Maybe snag that first?
Back in the Dragon Ball world, he'd researched a lot—but never cracked Instant Transmission. With the Space Stone, he wouldn't need it.
And the Stone carried a massive energy reserve.
Enough to goose his power level, maybe.
They waited.
Suddenly, Leon said, "Your rescue is here."
