Natasha wanted to fight back.
But she realized almost immediately that her strength wasn't even in the same league as Leon Ragnell's.
In front of him, she felt like a lamb on the chopping block.
From Leon's perspective—
Natasha's combat power wasn't high.
Battle Power: 35.
With a firearm, that was roughly seven times a normal man.
Leon's own power had already climbed past ten thousand.
Since arriving in this world, he'd multiplied his power tenfold.
At eighteen thousand, you reach planet-busting potential.
At her current level, Natasha was no match—completely in his grasp.
She was stunned. Pinned to the mattress, she froze.
She had planned to rely on grappling—joint locks, chokes—to give Leon a lesson.
Very quickly, she learned that when the strength gap is that obscene, technique becomes a joke.
"Mr. Leon, aren't we moving too fast?" Natasha panted, a plea slipping through.
"You don't like me?" Leon asked.
"I… I—" Natasha felt the proverbial thief's ship taking her out to sea. With no way back, she shut her eyes. "Do it."
Leon's smile turned roguish. "What's this? Won't you take the lead a little?"
Natasha helped shrug off his jacket and shirt.
Up close, standing before her, Leon felt less like a man and more like a minor god.
Too—too strong.
…
…
Three hours later.
Leon glanced at the wet spots on the sheets, genuinely surprised.
He wasn't exactly a moral paragon. If she threw herself into his arms, he wasn't going to pretend abstinence.
She was after his secrets, after all.
He just hadn't expected that.
Had he known, he would've been gentler—given the moment a little ceremony.
Looking at the spent, pale Natasha, Leon felt a prickle of guilt for being rough. He lifted the covers to tuck her in.
"You've got solid skills. Stay with me—be my bodyguard," he said, fingers brushing lightly across her cheek. "Report to my lab tomorrow."
Then he turned and left.
Only after he'd gone did Natasha open her eyes.
Fatigue seemed to seep up from her soul.
"Good lord… he doesn't get tired," she thought, a little horrified.
The first round was manageable.
After that, she took nothing but critical hits.
Somewhere in there, she'd tried to use her micro-sampler to lift a cell sample—no luck. The needle warped. Leon's skin was absurdly tough.
Strong. Monstrously strong.
Downstairs—
Leon caught Tony Stark sauntering out with an arm around each of two models.
Seeing Leon, Tony let out a whistle, then strolled over with a wink. "Leon, that redhead was something. Looks like you were very satisfied."
"Of course."
Leon smiled.
Tony waved the two women off and said, "By the way—your new company. I'm investing."
Leon raised a brow. "Oh?"
"Name's Makino Technologies, right?" Tony continued. "I'll take 30%. We focus it on next-gen energy. Your tech; I handle operations. Deal?"
Tony knew Leon's level.
The reactor equations Leon had outlined were more elegant than Tony's own design.
Tony had to give it up for him—beyond raw power, the man's tech was first-rate.
"Deal," Leon nodded. "But I want those lab systems delivered—soon."
"No problem."
Tony nodded back. "I've gathered almost everything on your list. Also, I spoke with Helen Cho separately. She's happy to assist you as well, though her projects will require serious funding."
"Money's just a tool. I need it to build gear; otherwise, I don't care," Leon said. Power was everything.
Even broke, he could ask Tony for cash—and Tony wouldn't say no.
Still, Leon didn't underestimate the Marvel world.
There were still things that could threaten his life.
On Earth alone there were the Celestials, the Ancient One—heavy hitters. His current strength wasn't necessarily top tier. For now, he'd keep things low-key—at least until Super Saiyan.
…
…
Meanwhile, in the bedroom upstairs, Black Widow finally gritted through the pain and sat up.
Ow, ow, ow—ow.
That bastard didn't know the meaning of the word "tired," did he?
She pulled out her phone and dialed Nick Fury.
"Nick," Natasha said weakly, her voice thready with exhaustion. "Mission failed. His skin's too hard—I couldn't pierce it."
She paused, then added, teeth clenched, "But I did find the boy's weakness."
"What weakness?" Fury asked.
Natasha hissed, "He's a womanizer."
