"What?" Disbelief flashed in Abomination's eyes.
He slid half a step back—then hammered another savage punch at Leon.
BOOM!
A brutal shockwave ripped out.
Air burst like a breaking tide.
Off to the side, Natasha couldn't withstand the force; she staggered back five or six steps.
Leon didn't budge.
He took one look at Abomination's battle power.
Mm. Not bad—120.
But that was it.
His own battle power had already broken 20,000.
And it climbed every day.
From +144 a day at the start…
…to +150 a day now.
I gain more per day than you have total.
Abomination stared, rattled.
"You're not killing anyone like that." Leon's mouth curled into a cool smile. "Watch carefully. I'm only showing you once."
He rose into the air—
—and a fearsome aura began to build around him.
Leon knew every organization in Marvel was probably watching him by now. Since that was the case, there was no point hiding anything. Let them see.
Use a little strength, then.
One percent?
Call it two hundred battle power.
Plenty.
Since dropping into Marvel, Leon had noticed something about this world:
Energy use is primitive.
They can't throw off proper energy-wave techniques.
It's all raw physical power.
Of course, that's tied to their inability to feel ki.
Put another way—Marvel lacks a cultivation system.
Otherwise, at 120 battle power, Abomination's destructive output wouldn't be this low.
Master Roshi, pumped up, clocked around 170 and still dared to blast the moon.
A local battle power of 120, used with real ki control, could hit much harder.
When Raditz came to Earth, Goku's scouter read just 416—and he still pushed past 1,000 with a Kamehameha.
But without ki, Marvel's natives can't express their strength well.
Charge.
Abomination felt a cold panic—an instinct that he was about to be beaten to death.
He spun and ran.
Leon punched.
Just a simple fist-ki burst.
Power gathered tight in his knuckles—then a white lance flashed across the street.
Schlk!
Abomination jerked; something punched clean through his back.
A beam of white tore out through his chest.
He crashed to the asphalt.
That was Leon holding back. If he hadn't, half the neighborhood would be rubble.
He planned to live here.
No need to overdo it.
Concentration multiplies impact.
The fist-ki ravaged Abomination from the inside, turning his organs to pulp.
Tap.
Leon touched down. Natasha just stared.
"Well? Was I cool?" Leon grinned at her.
Natasha drew a breath. "You… you're incredible."
Right then Leon noticed Abomination still wasn't dead. Even with a gaping chest and pulverized innards, the brute clung to life.
Stubborn vitality.
Leon didn't hesitate—he moved to finish it.
A dart hissed in and stuck into Abomination's hide.
"Awooooo!"
A raw scream ripped from his throat as his body swelled grotesquely.
Leon glanced up—there, on a helicopter, a sniper lay prone.
Whip!
Abomination bolted.
Leon had expected him to charge back—he didn't. He turned tail and sprinted.
"Running?" Leon blinked.
Abomination's speed spiked—he vanished from sight in a breath.
Zing!
Leon flicked two fingers.
Dodon Ray!
The beam stitched the helicopter, which blossomed into fire.
Then Leon's steps blurred; he launched skyward and tore after Abomination.
If you came for him today, you were leaving for heaven today.
If he didn't get mad, people took him for mud.
Abomination's stamina hemorrhaged.
The adrenaline jab bled off, too.
But—
He was almost there.
A derelict apartment block.
Inside—
Robert Bruce Banner held a yoga pose, steadying his breath. Even so, a faint green shimmer clung to him; stray glints of emerald flickered in his eyes.
He was close to losing control.
Hulk itched beneath his skin.
Then the wall thundered.
Banner blinked—
—and a massive hand clamped around his skull.
Abomination.
Green light surged across Banner's body—
—and then…
When Leon arrived, Abomination had been ripped apart—shredded into chunks by the Hulk.
The giant turned and roared at Leon.
"Battle power 500. Strongest I've seen here so far." Leon rolled his shoulders and smiled. "I love bullying scrubs."
