Leon's battle power climbed past forty-five million.
The goal was simple: utterly crush the Celestial Tiamut.
At this level, even a slight move could spell catastrophe for Earth. To completely suppress Tiamut, he needed overwhelming force.
Meanwhile, the Ancient One wasn't idle.
Her surging magic ran at the limit.
Sigils flared and flew, forming layers of wards around Tiamut.
If that giant so much as twitched, Earth would be in trouble.
Fwoosh!
Leon's whole body liquefied into a pink mass and plunged into the Pacific, slipping through fissures until he found the slumbering Celestial deep below.
By the usual timeline, this thing was supposed to awaken after Avengers: Endgame, but the Eternals interfered.
Now Leon would devour it.
The pink flesh ballooned open and began wrapping the sleeping Celestial.
Even unborn, not fully awakened—
Tiamut's instincts sensed mortal danger.
No one knew how many miles down—
Tiamut's eyes suddenly opened.
It felt the threat, and tried to awaken early.
Sacrifice every intelligent lifeform on Earth, become a newborn god.
A long, guttural chant rolled out of its mouth.
The words were obscure, but a dreadful pressure blanketed the planet; in the Southern Hemisphere the sun seemed to vanish.
For a heartbeat, the entire world felt an ancient terror descend.
Every living thing had the same thought—
The next second might be their last.
But the moment Tiamut's eyes opened, the pink mass had already sealed into a vast sphere, smothering the Celestial. The deep, droning litany couldn't escape.
"Hah—!"
Nick Fury exhaled hard, cold sweat slipping down his cheek.
One glance at the equally shaken Agent Hill told him the truth—this wasn't just him. It was everyone on Earth. The same choking dread, the visceral certainty of death.
Tiamut began to struggle.
As a newborn Celestial, it couldn't yet control its force with finesse.
And Leon's flesh-sphere was all but inescapable.
With forty-five million in battle power completely cocooning Tiamut's ten million—what was the Celestial going to do?
In Dragon Ball, a 150 million Goku toyed with a 120 million Frieza.
This was a fourfold gap.
Struggling was pointless.
Time to eat.
The massive sphere tightened and tightened.
Tiamut's thrashing only grew fiercer, but Leon kept everything locked inside, denying even the chance to break free.
…
…
The Ancient One watched the black clouds thin.
Feeling the crushing aura fade, she breathed out. "Looks like… it worked."
Her words had barely landed when an enormous hand burst out of the Pacific.
"My god…"
Seeing that hand, Fury's heart lurched.
From orbit, satellites showed the scale—just five fingers breaking the surface loomed like mountains; the whole hand was Everest-high.
Fury swallowed hard.
"Should we call Captain Marvel back?" he muttered, staring at the titanic hand. And even as he said it, he knew—if this was real, there wouldn't be an Earth left to save.
Failed.
Leon had failed.
A Celestial birthed on Earth would annihilate the planet.
But then—
A surge of pink liquid rushed up and wrapped that monstrous hand.
The escaping limb vanished beneath it.
A vast pink sphere lifted into the sky—
Tens of thousands of meters across.
Like an island floating in the air.
Within, a colossal silhouette thrashed and bucked, hazy through the membrane—until the sphere began to shrink.
From tens of thousands of meters
…down, down, collapsing inward, smaller and smaller.
By sunrise—
The pink sphere was only a few hundred meters wide—Leon's Great Ape form.
Then even the ape began to dwindle.
At last, Leon stood there in human form again.
Bathed in sunlight, something new shimmered on him—divinity.
It stirred a primal urge in all who saw him, a compulsion to kneel.
Even those who never saw him directly, only felt his presence, found themselves on their knees.
A god. A true god.
With a casual flick, a suit jacket settled over his shoulders. Leon traced a line in the air, opening a portal—and in the next second, he vanished, reappearing at the mansion Tony had prepared for him.
