Kokoro was currently the station master of Water 7's Shift Station. In the past, she had lived together with Tom the merman.
Tom had once been one of the world's greatest shipwrights. He took in two disciples—Iceberg and Franky. They lived together for years and shared a deep bond.
Because Tom had built the Oro Jackson for the Pirate King, he was convicted by the World Government.
Later, he died in a conspiracy. It was said that the Pluton blueprints were left with either Iceberg or Franky.
Because of that, the World Government secretly dispatched the deadly intelligence organization Cipher Pol 9. They had been hiding in Water 7 for years.
Yesterday, Iceberg claimed that Robin attacked him, which marked the start of CP9's grand conspiracy.
Franky didn't know anything yet, but both Iceberg and Kokoro understood the situation.
At this moment, Sandy pushed open the bar's door. The room was lively, but once the people inside recognized him—an "accomplice" in attacking Iceberg—they froze.
Everyone stared at him in shock.
"Hey, hey," Sandy rolled his eyes. "I'm telling you all, your drinks are spilling. What a waste!"
"It's you, you bastard! You've got guts showing up here!"
"Yeah! Let's catch him and hand him to the Navy!"
"But he's worth 300 million Belly… maybe we should inform the Carrera Company…"
Completely ignoring them, Sandy walked straight to the bar and said, annoyed, "What the hell are you thinking? I didn't have money for a hotel yesterday,
so I shivered on the coast all night. I'm practically coming down with a cold. Quit slandering people randomly."
He tapped the counter.
"Waiter, give me a beer. Drives away the cold, clears the heat, prevents colds."
Kokoro chuckled. "Aren't you that kid we saw before? What was your name again?"
Sandy grinned. "Sleep God Sandy of the Straw Hat Pirates."
Chimney poked her head out. "Big Brother, did you really attack Iceberg?"
Kokoro laughed loudly. "Quit joking, hahaha!"
Sandy frowned and turned around.
"Drink your damn drinks. Why are you all staring at me?"
He tapped the bar again.
"Waiter, beer. Beer! Also, you're pretty buff, but man… that hairstyle? Looks like ox horns."
Then he turned back to Kokoro.
"Kokoro, it's one thing for you to sneak off and drink, but why'd you bring Chimney? Trying to train her to be a God of Wine?"
The bartender—Blueno from CP9—said expressionlessly, "Guest, pay first."
"Hahaha," Kokoro replied. "Give him a drink. It's on me. You really treat this place like your home, kid. No manners at all."
Sandy turned around again with a deadpan expression.
Right then—
"OOOW!! How's everyone doing lately? Feeling SUPERRR?"
Franky entered the bar, dancing as usual.
But the second he saw Sandy, he froze.
"Hey! Isn't that the Straw Hat brat? The whole city's looking for you! And you still dare come here!?"
Kokoro smiled. "Seems like you're doing well, Franky."
"Huh? Kokoro?" Franky pointed at Sandy. "You know this kid? He's dangerous!"
"It's fine," Kokoro chuckled. "You don't think they're the ones who attacked Iceberg, do you?"
"Hey, Blueno," Franky said, opening the fridge inside his stomach and pulling out three empty bottles. "Fill 'em with cola. As usual!"
Sandy spoke up.
"Franky, you stole our 200 million Belly. Don't you owe us an explanation?"
"Explanation?" Franky smirked. "I already spent it. What do you want me to do?"
Sandy glared, "I've never seen anyone as arrogant as you. That 200 million was treasure the Straw Hats found in Skypiea. You saw our ship, right? The keel is damaged.
Because of your bullshit, Usopp thought it was his fault we didn't have money to fix the ship. He and the Captain fought. Our whole crew nearly fell apart because of you!"
"Ah!?" Franky froze. Then he started bawling.
"What a touching Pirate crew!!"
Somehow, he suddenly whipped out a guitar and sat down to play.
"Wuwuwu… let me sing about pirate friendship…"
Sandy raised an eyebrow.
This bastard was even more flamboyant than him. He had to learn from this guy!
Sandy ignored him and asked Kokoro, "Grany Kokoro, the big storm is coming. Everyone is evacuating."
"Yes," Kokoro nodded. "Everyone's seeking shelter."
"But the Straw Hats are being treated as criminals by the citizens," Sandy said. "We've got nowhere to go. It'll be pitch black tonight. You'll help us, right?"
"Night?" Kokoro stared at him for a few seconds.
Then she grinned. "Of course I will. I'll come find you. Mehahaha! Blueno, another beer!"
Franky, fully refueled with cola, complained, "What the hell? So what do I do now?"
Sandy smirked, "You're annoying. Go find a place where nobody knows who you are and hide. The weather report says the storm will raise the water level a ton. Be careful not to drown."
"You bastard!" Franky snapped. "Just because I took your money doesn't mean—"
Kokoro cut in with a smile.
"Franky, he's worried about you. Don't be ungrateful."
"Ah!" Sandy's eyes lit up.
"Franky, our ship can't go out to sea, but we can't let it get blown away either! Hurry up and pick a location—"
Franky growled, "Why should I listen to you!? What does your ship have to do with—"
Before he could finish, Sandy grabbed him by the neck.
"If you're not going to help, then return the 200 million Belly!"
"Ugh—fine, fine! Take me to the coast already!"
(Kokoro was basically Tom's wife figure. Franky, despite being a thug leader, listened to her.
Franky needed a disguise identity because he was already being targeted by the World Government.
Plus, Pluton's blueprints were hidden inside his body.
He loved ships deeply.
And after Sandy explained where the money came from—Franky realized it was his fault for jumping to conclusions.
So he agreed.)
